Seek & Find: Will you visit J.Crew this Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!

  1. I went today, store was empty. 30% off sale items, but the sale section was not as packed with items as it used to be. Left empty handed.

  2. Sale promo is back!
Online only: extra 40% off final sale styles, with some at 50% off.* Use code HELLOSALE. Promo valid from the 6th through the 8th.

  3. I'm not sure if I'll go into the store. It'll depend on how much time I have after a Madewell return.

I highlighted some HELLOSALE picks in this post. At the bottom of the post, I have question about Facebook and daycare. Please visit & chime in if you have experience and/or an opinion. TIA!

  4. Can anyone comment on the sandstone color for the Emma's? They're $17.99 after HELLOSALE which is a steal and I don't have ballet flats. But I'm curious if the sandstone is more nude or more muted pink?

  5. YEAH promo and lots of things added! I finally got the gray Melton Wool Swing Coat. With the discount and my rewards it was $75 out of pocket. I am 5'8" 34A so hopefully size 2 fits in a good oversize way, not swallow me whole. I waiver between a 2 and a 4 and usually get S. Was afraid to buy 0 and not get the oversize effect of the coat. Hate that final sale part!

    1. I took a final sale gamble on the dolman double serge wool dress. Good reviews, looks like a good work dress, net $83. I also took a gamble on the collection silk bib top, which also got good reviews. I ordered the blue color, which I hope is a pretty, vivid blue and not a dull blue.

  6. OT but I have a pair of NIB sophie elephant loafers in size 8 I'm mailing back. I know these are sold out so if you'd like them or have a 7h to trade, please let me know before I drop them off tomorrow. FYI, they were ordered at full price and well worth it IMO.

  7. Hi, just wanted to let everyone know the Lady day coats in regular are showing up as final sale (all colors!), however they are not eligible for the additional sale discount. After calling CS they confirmed that yes they are final sale but no additional discount will be given...so annoying!! Why would you pay full price at 378.00 for final sale is beyond me!

  8. I stopped in yesterday because my store VPS was doing an instore 20% off event. Apparently she does this for "select customers" during rollouts and the 20% was stackable on top of the 30% sale and anything online as well. It was news to me that they do these types of things, but it got me in the store to check out the new arrivals.

I left with the Martie pants in navy and the merino cotton tunic in mint. The Marties are a similar style to the Minnie but with a higher waist and slightly longer length (yay!) and not as tapered as the Minnies. I took my Minnie size. I'll still wear longer tops with them as I do the Minnies but that extra little bit of length in the leg was a big deal for me as even though I like and wear the Minnies, I felt these were more flattering. The merino cotton tunic is like a longer slouchy Tippi but I liked the different style.

Everything else I tried on was meh. I did like the high rise jeans but decided to pass and there was absolutely nothing that interested me in the sale section. I guess there is a new rollout in a few weeks. I did like the firework floral blouse and the regent blazer in navy and chambray but I'll wait for sale.

    1. how did you find the fit of the high rise jeans?

    2. @Anne -The Fab Life. I was wondering about the Martie pants thanx for the review I need to get into my store and try them on. Are you plan on wearing the Navy Marties with the merino cotton tunic in mint?

    3. Anne - can't wait to see the Marties on you. I love the Minnie too but the Martie might work on me since they work so well on you (we do have similar pants-tastes, ha!).

    4. @suisui I tried my regular size in the high rise (I'm a 32 in the matchsticks and the same in the new toothpicks) - I have a more hourglass shape so the legs/hips/rear fit ok but the waist was a bit loose. They're definitely stretchy which I know has been a complaint for some. So, depending on your shape, you might be able to take your smaller size. I tried the pair (I think it's the grady wash) that are sort of faded with the ripped knee...the ones in store didn't have a ripped knee and the whiskering on my hips were a no go. But I'd wear the darker pair for sure. HTH!

    5. @Taylor let me page through my pics from yesterday, I can inbox you or post the pic if the pic isn't so bad...the lighting in the dressing room was horrendous yesterday so I didn't get great pics. @MaryG yes I plan on wearing the navy Marties with the mint tunic!

  9. Yes, again to do a return. See my review of the Textured Block Print skirt, total failure for me. Now I have $155 on a gift card and my rewards and pretty much nothing I want.

  10. drat, I just bought two purses and some sweaters and didn't know about the rewards card...I haven't gotten mine yet?!?! :(

    1. Check your junk mail inbox. I got mine in my email, not a hard copy.

  11. Popped in for a return (Obanda sweatshirt-looks super cute online, but is huge, and shorter than advertised, for which they allowed a return of FS. 30% off sale in store, which is weird, and sale section was smaller than it has been in a while. New arrivals are super cute, but colors seem Fall-ish to me, and I'm a bit shopped out. An SA was wearing the elephant skirt and it was super-cute. Hope y'all have a great weekend!

  12. I stopped by this afternoon to do some returns and noticed several new jewelry items in the case that are not online yet. There is a Pop Flower Necklace in a rosey-beigey tone with some coordinating pieces. Maybe a good option for those who think the Soft Peony color is a little much. Also a Full Spectrum Crystal-like necklace with really pretty green stones (it was a smaller diameter all around), plus a coordinating bracelet (or two). I'm not a fan of the Full Spectrum Crystal Necklace, but really liked the green colors on this one. There were some other really attractive pieces that I would have loved to have seen, but just didn't have the time. I'm looking forward to seeing the full offer online, hopefully next Wednesday?

  13. It's snowing again.
I am remembering the days/seasons/collections when that wouldn't have stopped me.

    1. Watch their return policy, though. The time period is short and they don't make exceptions (by mail, anyway - I don't live near a store).

    2. Is it 30 days with receipt for full refund ? This is J Crew policy as well. My stores SA would return items for me if I had a problem returning before the 30 Days. I am a frequent customer and she knows I willbe back to purchase again.

    3. Actually, jcrew has a 60 day return window if you order online (vs 30 day when purchased in store). I don't live near a store either so that def makes me less likely to order from them

    4. I understand....but the free returns (in Canada....$$) at least would be helpful.

  15. I went to make a return today. New arrivals all in my store but ITA with others that the colors are more fall than Spring. Some cute jewelry but I feel like I am at a saturation point with the statement-type costume jewelry pieces. Smallish sale section with only 30% off. Left empty-handed but my rewards was waiting for me when I got home. I think I will wait for the next rollout.

  16. If I didn't already have enough bags to open a kiosk at the mall, I'd get the warm taupe Downing. It nets $75 w/HELLOSALE. Here's the review.

  17. Did stop in and picked up the Firefly necklace for $22, they had 2 in the sale section. I saw the Twill Tipped Jacket in black, the piping is in Navy and I really liked that colorway. Also saw a Navy with white polka dots shirt, in a silk and cotton combination which I love. The SA said that there would be some new arrivals next week, so let's hope for a % off full priced items. She was my height and said she had purchased the Martie pant and it was perfect, so I will try those at some point.
