Seek & Find: Will you visit J.Crew this Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SUMMER sale, or to see some new SUMMER arrivals {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!

  1. If anyone sees the Mila Stripe Gold Cap Toe flat in a 7 in stores (I know it's online only, but maybe a return?!) PLEASE let me know! Thanks in advance! jillnoren at gmail dot com.

    Thanks ladies!

    1. I haven't seen it, but FYI, I just bought the MIla Liberty print. I have countless J Crew shoes and ballet flats and always wear a 7, but the 7.5 in the Mila was a better fit for me- no toe cleavage. I'll keep my eye out for you.

  2. My store Toronton Eaton Center had additional 40 off sales yesterday. The roller girl dress was marked down to $99.99 with additional discount I got it for $70 after tax. I just ordered online too but thankfully my code had free returns.

    3. I ordered mine via charge send, and the extra 30% off the sale price did make it final sale.

  3. It looks like we're back to being able to add the educator discount to the 30% off sale. It is final sale however. I couldn't believe I got the tuxedo stripe cafe capris yesterday for about $41 after discounts! They just came out!

  6. Madewell is still offering 40% off Sale styles (most are final sale) until 7.1.13. The promo-priced items also get the 40% off, and there are a lot of them again this week, too. I've updated the Madewell Promo-priced items list, and it can be seen here on my blog.

    1. Thanks for this, FFM. I really wish that Madewell would offer free returns now and then like JC did for the month of June. There are some pieces I'd like to try, but there are no stores nearby and I don't like having to "pay to try on", so to speak - especially if it's buying 2 sizes of something and returning one. Free returns would also make it easier to try something before it hits final sale. I hope you're reading, Madewell!

    2. silver_lining: I completely agree about the need for free returns at Madewell, especially since the store locations are very limited in many states. Hopefully they'll consider offering them soon, and it would be really nice if they would do away with final sale due to the lack of store locations, too.

  7. Heck yes, thanks to gigiofca who let us know the crystal compilation necklace is on sale. I gotta get my hands on one of those! My antique clear rhinestone fancy necklace is currently broken, so this will be a good stand-in/alternative. And of course I will have to see what other bargains are lurking in the sale section, though my B&M is small and doesn't get much of the "good stuff" like shoes (other than basic ballet flats) and purses and collection stuff.

    1. Oh and of course I will be going to factory, too! Can't resist 50% off the entire store, especially since their merchandise is much more appealing and practical lately.

    2. I got a email from them this morning with a vip coupon for an additional 10% off . Carolyn from Vancouver

  8. @JCrewJD - It's a good bargain!

I have dropped this a few times, but in case you haven't seen it...the In-Store Price Guide has many of this week's cuts at the top. If there are others, my store didn't have this marked.

For online price cuts check out the Irl Pic Guide.

  9. Does anyone know if the cafe Capri in dot (navy, not the newer jacquard dot) is lower than $79.99 in-store? My store is out of them, and I caught a pop-back, but wondering about a pa.

OT, I took the online bizrate survey after placing an order, as I have found Jcrew actually reads them and responds (I got an email response once). I was excited about the questions in this survey--things like, would more garment measurements be helpful (yes!), and in a rankin question about possible helpful features to be added, individual product reviews and rankings were an option. Exciting stuff :)

  10. Well, I dropped by my B&M this morning before an appt. and picked up the following: The white floral necklace (passed on the red the first go around), some chino shorts, a liberty print shirt (light purple) and the striped merino tippi sweater with butterflies. At 29.00 + 30% off, I couldn't resist. I also tried on and liked the white skirt with black contrast on bottom. I too will visit the Factory because they have been really good about carrying nice essentials lately.

    Happy Friday.

  11. Just got back from my B&M and whoa, the whole place is on sale. A lot of dresses there have had new markdowns in the past few days, and I picked up two I've been stalking.

If you are shopping this weekend, definitely check Gigi's and FFM's price guides for the items you know you are interested in. I would've walked right by some items tagged $99.99 etc. that I snapped right up, knowing they would ring up at $39.99 minus 30% :)

    1. I agree, Ruffles. I picked up a Fleece Nautical Colorblock Popover ((84636)last night that was marked $19.99 but ran up at $9.99 with 30% off. Did visit another B&M at lunch but nothing I needed/wanted even though I tried on quite a few items. This weekend I plan to re-evaluate some of my prior sale purchases without my 'sale goggles' on.

  12. I popped in to make some returns but kept my blinders on. I walked out without getting anything since all of the promos have encouraged me to be a bit out of controll lately.

  13. Just ordered the roller girl dress from Denver Cherry Creek store - $99.99 + 30% off vs $148 online. Park Meadows also had a sz 8 if anyone's interested.

And if any JCA's live in the Colorado Springs area, retail store opening in February 2014 at Shoppes at Briargate. My UPS guy and I are both thrilled, haha.

    1. It was marked down to $79.99 at my b&m, I was able to get it with the stacked promo last week for $42. I cannot believe that it is still FP online!

    3. Thanks Marietta. I suspected that it could be cheaper because I purchased the Color collage statement necklace also marked as $89.99 but scanned as $79.99 before the stacked promo last week. Another example of sale items NOT marked correctly.

  15. I went to the Factory store today and they had a few Madewell items (shruken jean jacket, skimmers, chambray shirt, jean shorts?). First time I have seen that. I didn't get a chance to ask SA bec it was pretty busy in the store.

  16. I went to the Vancouver Robson St store. The sale section was quite large and there is an additional 40% off final sale items. There was as usual discrepancy between store prices and online sale pricing. For example some of the linen tees that are on sale on line are full price in store. The sale items that I did walk away with we're a pair of the leopard calf hair Etta pumps for 137.99$ cdn, a punk floral scarf for 29.99$ and a feather weight cashmere cardigan for 54.00$ all after the 40% discount. The one big disappointment was the roller girl dress at 99.00$ before the discount was beautiful on but was waaaaay too short and a bit high waisted as well. It is really too bad because it would be a fantastic dress if a bit longer. I am 5''9 so it may work for ladies not as tall.

    1. If you ask, they will usually match the online price (and the discount). Great scores!

I will be checking things out tomorrow.

    2. Thanks Rose! Knowing that I may go back tomorrow and ask them to price match the linen tees which I really love!

  21. My store had a huge sale section and some empty spaces. It looked like they were clearing inventory out to make room for new stuff. Saw lots of shoes on sale. I didn't buy anything since lots of the sale stuff looks pawed over and there was nothing I really had to have.

  25. Maritime blazer in stripe (84593)- black colorway is now marked down to $49.99 in store vs 89.99 online. Parrot pendant necklace (02591) marked down to $49.99 vs $78.00 (full price) online. Both before 30% off. Hawaiian tank is full price in store but the SA honored the online price of $29.99 plus 30% off.

The Maritime blazer in stripe is petite friendly, shorter sleeves, XXS fits like 00P.
