I just ordered (earlier today) an expensive top and now see they are offering a major discount online.
ReplyDeleteWill they give me a discount on today's order - or do I have to make a 2nd order to get the discount? (because now that I know I could have had the darn thing for 30% less if I waited about 6 hours - I just can't enjoy it)
If you ordered through the VPS, then you can ask her/him to credit you back. Otherwise I would try Customer Service. HTH
Delete25% off with code NEWSTYLE or 30% off with a JC card through June 24.
Website is a mess. Nothing is working right!
ReplyDeleteClover Tweed Short: why do you keep reappearing? You have been sold for months, as you remind me every time I click your page. Stop being such a tease.
ReplyDeleteThey have a wishlist now! Am I late to this?
ReplyDeleteThe opposite; it just appeared an hour ago ;)
DeleteI am really glad that j.crew has finally decided to sell a good quality ballerina like Porselli, just a little vent: they sell it for 310(+taxes) and in there little shop the current price is 98 EURO( 130 US)!!!!!!!!! And yes, THEBEST( 30% discount code for everybody is still working)
ReplyDeleteCiao from Italy.
I received a dress in the mail yesterday with the plastic security tag still attached. Has this ever happened to anyone else? Should I just take it (along with my receipt) to my local B&M and ask them to remove it?
ReplyDeleteThanks!
I've had this happen to me before, you do have to take to a B&M and they should remove it for you. CS told me to just bring my invoice, but when I went they didn't ask for it.
DeleteThank you!
DeleteOverall, I think J. Crew's summer offerings this year are subpar. I've bought a few pairs of cute statement shorts and fab skirts, but overall I'm not impressed with what's out there. Holding out hope that fall is a better batch.
ReplyDeleteI agree. Summer clothing is my favorite. All I bought was the seahorse tee. Nothing else I like.....
DeleteI'm really baffled by all the sweaters.
ReplyDeleteWhy is the double-serge cotton skirt on back order for October 10.
ReplyDeleteAnd in October, will we want wool instead of cotton?
DeleteThis rollout and catalog are so boring. I don't want anything. Going to shop elsewhere until they've got something better, which is disappointing because I like J. Crew normally. There were some nice spring offerings, but summer seems really off.
ReplyDeleteSame old, same old.
ReplyDeleteI really love the new wishlist feature but honestly? Another few weeks of waiting for them to work out all the glitches would have been better than this. The website is painfully slow and some pages aren't loading properly. Very displeased right now!
ReplyDeleteNot a vent, but a question. I've never returned by mail/UPS before but decided to use the free returns option with my last order. How does the return process work? Will J Crew send me an email when they have processed my return?
ReplyDeleteHi shopalot - yeah, just pop it in the mail and JC will send you an e-mail when they process the return. I think they've been a bit slower now that the free returns have been in effect, but not terrible.
DeleteThanks, silver_lining! Since my local B&M closed, I decided to use the free return option for the first time. I'll be watching & waiting for my email confirmation.
DeleteSo I recently ordered short for myself and my husband during the summer must-haves promo. The shorts arrived yesterday and not only was my husband's pair of shorts clearly a store return (which isn't really a big deal), but the label said that they were from Spring 2010! If they're going to sell three-year-old shorts, they should sell them at a warehouse sale, not with their regular merchandise. And even though I got them on sale, I think they should have been much cheaper, given their age. (My husband, by the way, couldn't care less and likes the shorts just fine.)
ReplyDeleteLauren PhD~this happened to me recently when I ordered a few pairs of Waverly Chinos. When I received them, I looked at the tag and one pair was from Summer 11 and the other pair from Fall 10. I emailed customer service and brought this to their attention, saying that it is dishonest to sell an item this old without clarifying it on line or without having a deep discount. (I think I paid around $50 for each item) I also said a retailer like Nordstrom's would never do something so shady. My return comment from c.s. told me that I didn't know how to read the tags (Fa 11) doesn't really mean that's when they were issued on line or in stores (?) but when the color was introduced. I have decided that I'm not purchasing anything from J Crew for awhile unless I get it at the B&M. I'm saving myself tons of frustration.
ReplyDeleteI work in retail (not j.crew) even if the tag says fa 11 the item should not be in stores 2013.. it could be in store spr 12. At least thats how it usually works in our store. I suppose they could have found some backstock at warehousee? Sounds a bit sketchy ecspecially the 2010..
