  1. Does anyone know if the factory stores currently have their version of the field jacket? Thanks!

    1. SunnyCMG - I haven't been to a crewlet in a couple of weeks, but I think those tend to go fast. I would call your local store w/the style number in hand to see if they have one. They should be happy to hold one for you thru the next business day. They can also see if other stores have it in-stock, if that's an alterative for you going to try it in-person.

    2. Thanks Gigi! Go figure none of the outlets in my state had it! I was able to track it down and bought two, which would have been the price of just one at retail on promotion! Hopefully it fits since the smallest they had was an XS. Thank you for your help!

    3. SunnyCMG - Yay! A couple months ago I purchased one over the phone. A different style number from way back, but same idea. The outlets can be so helpful in that regard. Remember to factor in layering when you try it on.

  2. I ordered the factory version of the dervish. And talked about some of the new arrivals in this post.

  3. I browsed during yesterday's early access sale, and I ordered the pineapple and anchor tees, a necklace, and the sun shift in neon rose. I have the striped and dot iterations of the dress and will probably keep buying any version they put out, ha.

    1. I agree! I have the striped shift and it's amazing. I wonder how 'neon' the neon rose is though... The more colors of this style, the better

    2. I have several pieces from factory in neon rose - a favorite color is mine - and it's a nice punchy pink, not too red or pink pink. Super cute!

    1. How does that work? Is it $100 credit towards buying at madewell.com?

    2. Tammy - you buy a "voucher" for $60, then you receive an email with a gift card code (and pin) in the amount of $100 - that you can use online just like a regular gift card code, or print out to use in store. An odd bit in the fine print says: "Any remaining balance left on your gift card after submitting your order can be redeemed on a future purchase by signing into your Madewell account." I'm not sure how that works, but the rest seems straightforward. Hope that helps!

    3. A friend just ordered a transport tote with the voucher, worked fine!

  5. How does the sizing on the Factory Pencil skirts compare to the JCrew ones? I thought I read somewhere that the Factory ones ran a bit larger. I usually take a petite 2, but I see there is no petite option offered in Factory. TIA

    1. In my experience the factory skirts are sized the same as JCrew. I take a regular size 6 in JC and in factory

    2. I ordered the factory nautical stripe pencil recently and it fits fine in my usual retail pencil size 4. The minis also fit like the retail ones and I usually go up to a size 6 in both to let it sit lower on the waist and add some extra length. HTH

    3. I usually take a P4 in retail and have found that I am in between a 2 and 4 in factory this year. I have a couple of 4 from years ago and they were fine. HTH and not confuses you.

    4. I agree that they fit the same as retail.

    5. maryeb - It sounds like you would try a size 0 in the factory skirt. I think they're great, btw, esp the double-serge cotton that are out now.

  6. Has anyone seen and tried on the FACTORY PENCIL SKIRT IN EMBROIDERED FLORAL? It appealed to me since it is lined and I am not liking any retail pencil skirts this year. I have put one on hold at my local store and wondering if it is worth the drive? TIA

    1. I reviewed it in this post (scroll down). I wasn't a fan of it, mainly because of the pockets that stick out on the hips. Great move to add pockets to a pencil skirt, but they weren't done well IMO. It really messed with the lines of the pencil skirt.

    2. Thanks AppGal. I actually looked at your review when you posted it and did not remember. The pockets certainly are not mentioned or described and I don't need any additional lumps on my hips. Oh well, saves me a drive tomorrow.

  7. Does anyone know how the factory sequin tanks fit? I am sometime a small or xsm. I was an xsm in the mint/navy tank (non factory. thx

  8. Can someone comment on the sizing of the Factory Polka-dot Popover? I'm usually between size 0 and 00 in the retail store. Should I get size XS in the Factory version? Thanks!

    1. I normally wear a 4/6 in retail popovers due to a wider ribcage and broader shoulders, then I take them in at the waist. I have 2 colors of the factory dot popover in a Small, so the XS should fit, albeit a bit loosely. Hth!

  9. I just got an email from Capital One and if you use their credit card at J.Crew Factory, you will get 20% back on a $25 purchase
    in-store & online. It expires 6/26/13.

  10. Definitely some amazing deals in store this weekend. 7 inch shorts for $17, the new navy/red square scarf for $17, and a few t shirts. Also found light blue and purple colorblock hard cases for iPhone 4s, only $8-- all with the 40% and the 25% for cardholders.

  11. I was just in the Allen, TX location, and was surprised to see several Madewell items for sale...denim jackets, cutoff shorts in multiple colors, etc. The place was mobbed, so I left empty handed. Not sure if these items would have been included in the 40% off sale or not, and I couldn't find a sales associate to ask. Anyone else seen Madwell items in JCF?
