ReplyDeleteI have to give a big rave to LE Canvas for their cashmere tee - the sleeves and hem have nice, non-rolling cuffs, the cut is flattering, and the cashmere is nice and thick (although some reviews claim this is a dip in quality over previous LE cashmere). There are quite a few color options and the price is great - I got 40% off the sale price earlier in the week ($38 apiece) but think that the current $65 is also well worth it - that's like, 2.5 JC cashmere tees! Plus, their return policy is fantastic so if the cashmere does happen to disappoint I know it can be returned.
ReplyDeleteI second silver_linings comment on the LEC cashmere tees. While I love my J.Crew cashmere tees, these seem to be just as nice and a bit less expensive. I really like the "sweatshirt" neck ribbing, although some might find this off-putting as it makes the sweater look quite casual.
ReplyDeleteI never hesitate to buy from Lands' End. You really can't beat the Lands' End guarantee.
If you are mad-for-plaid, the Kentfield blackwatch blazer is now $39.95 @ Anthropologie (just please don't wear it with the JCrew factory blackwatch trousers!).
ReplyDeleteI was drooling over this well-made blazer but could not justify spending $158 on an adorable cropped jacket, but for $39.95 I'll throw it on a few times in the next couple of weeks.
Totally agree with the kudos for LE cashmere tees. I have two more headed my was for $38. I could wear one of these every day.

ReplyDeleteThird (or fourth)-ing the raves for the LEC cashmere sweaters. I bought two during the 40% off promo and I'm kicking myself for not buying more. I do think the price now - $68? - is still worth it. The length, sleeve length, and weight are all perfect.

ReplyDeleteLauren PhD, Speaking of the BR 40% off sale in stores, I was debating on which color cafe trouser I wanted during the last 30% sale at JC. Chose the Cherry and love. Glad I didn't choose other colors because today, I was able to snag both the camel and gray wool trousers at BR for $40 each....and they are lined. Fit is similar to cafe trousers.

ReplyDeletemommydearest: You're welcome! I didn't get an email either. I had gone back to the website to purchase a belt I placed in my cart earlier this morning, and when I went to check out the price was reduced and the 30% off was in effect.
ReplyDeleteAs for your order, I would try calling for a price adjustment first before re-ordering. Perhaps they will just credit you the difference? :)
I think the LEC cashmere is similar to J Crew sizing. LE might be slightly larger.
ReplyDeleteHad to share the best CS experience at Anthro today! Stopped in on my lunch break, and as expected, so busy with their 50% off sale, and the holidays of course. Saw a skirt I bought for $98 10 days ago marked down to $49.95, then the 50% off. Of course I did not have my receipt, but I could not leave without asking for an adjustment, for a difference of $75! The SA I talked to looked up my account, you have to sign up for an Anthro card if you haven't already, made the adjustment, without my receipt, and I got to shop with a $75 credit! I got a dress and skirt, for nothing! I was so impressed with the service I received, and so happy to get two more items! Happy Holidays indeed!
