My eyes can't believe what an incredible offer this is! I love that this offer is extended to their stores as well. I know I will be making a stop today at my local B&M location.

J.Crew, you are stepping it up with the promotions and me likey! :)

Will you be checking out J.Crew? Are there any items you are interested in getting? If so, please share. :)

  1. Now's a great time to snag those pearls you might've had your eye on (I just did!) They rarely ever go on sale... Three cheers for the CHEER promo!

    ReplyDelete
  2. Wow. Nothing I want right now. Snagged the ladylace instore yesterday for $29!

  3. I picked up the Rhea popover in estate orchid and the Lydia bow blouse in white. I'm so happy I was able to catch them on popback. Thank you J Crew for an amazing promo!

    ReplyDelete
  4. Wow is right. I am so exhausted from the constant promos... but those pearls are very tempting as I have had my eye on them for months!!

    ReplyDelete
  5. Of course, I won't be able to get to a store. I'm hoping my ps is working today and can grab me the blythe blouse. I'll return the one I already have since this is a better price.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Anyone know if jewlery is still 25% off in store and would it be an additional 30% off that?

    ReplyDelete
  7. They added the new Palm Beach necklace to the jewelry section fyi. It's very cute IRL. Love the navy with the tangerine. This is the one I mentioned seeing in store the other day, and reminds me of some old school jewelry. Not a bad price with the 30% off.

  8. That necklace is pretty cute! Very 2008.

  9. operach, can you tell me which store you got your Lady Lace at? I'm wondering if maybe they have any left. I've been trying desperately to find one in store so I don't have to pay quadruple online. Thanks in advance!

  10. Great promo but I am done! Enjoy ladies:)

    ReplyDelete
  11. I caved and ordered some things. I figure now is the time to try things out. I can return what doesn't work. I did order the Lady Day Coat w/thinsulate, so I will review it once I get it. Ordered a few other goodies. I am DONE for now!! I've been pretty restrained this season, but I just couldn't resist the 30 off w/ability to return.

  12. I love all the sales, but I wish they had some new stuff. I feel like I've already ordered everything I really love.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Considering the neon azalea pencil skirt but it's still $90... way out of my comfort zone! I think I'll pass. 30% off isn't cheap enough for me, haha! I love that there is free shipping though. Way to go J.Crew.

  14. What on earth happened to the short sleeve cashmere tees? I was debating whether to order the black one last night around 11 p.m. and they had nearly all colours in stock for size Small. This morning, there's only 3 colours left and no black! :-(

    ReplyDelete
  15. I'm so happy to see the free shipping with no minimum on this promo! That being said, it's now too close to Christmas so I wouldn't get my order in time before I go away for the holidays... so I'm out!

    ReplyDelete
  16. Ordered the velvet schoolboy in poppy. Hope it fits and the color works for me. I'm drawn to bright colors, but they don't always work for me.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Louise, don't know if you're interested but LE has short sleeved cashmere tees and they're doing 40% off your order today (and free ship, no minimum).

    ReplyDelete
  18. Does anyone know how much the in-store Lady Lace's are? I'm wondering if my online PS will match the price?
    Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  19. I wonder if I can combine my student ID with this promo.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Thanks for the tip silver_lining, I will check out LE - never really shopped there before but that sounds like a great offer.

    ReplyDelete
  21. LizzyT, if your online PS matches the price, pls let me know!! Thanks. Mine wouldn't.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Way to go with those holiday promos this year!

    ReplyDelete
  23. @ Lizzy T

The in-store price for the ladylace is $49.99. I bought one with the 30% + my teacher discount. My store never even carried the lady lace so a very very kind SA let me return my online one and buy it back. They've never let me do this before however. The actual policy (according to my online PS) is that you go to the store and have them call online and match the in-store price. The size and color that you want has to be available online however. Hope this helps!

  24. OT- but there in an OOTD on Stylist featuring Jenna Lyons looking very chic and put together in her neutral separates. Does not hurt being 6 feet tall, lol! We shorties struggle so much and she just looks e-f-f-o-r-t-less. No fair.:)

  25. I'm with Louise. The constant promos are wearing me out, LOL.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Grrr...would have bitten on this promo if the Double-Serge Hacking Jacket had popped back in my size. Oh well...

OT: Have any of you tried the Madewell Spotted Snowfall sweater? It's so adorable, but with the angora blend I'm afraid the quality will be like other J.Crew sweaters, therefore not worth the $85 pricetag.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I placed an order at Land's End instead. 40% off everything (including lands end canvas!) and free shipping. Their prices on some things I can wear now are so low... while comparable items at J.Crew are full price. I ordered some skinny cords and loafers.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Also...has anyone seen the DS Hacking Jacket in the Turquoise color in a B&M recently? Didn't know if that color made it to the stores. It may be worth a shot to do a charge send! TIA!

    ReplyDelete
  29. I have been wanting the Minimalist mockneck turtleneck sweater in hthr graphite and I snagged it up today :) yay!! Great promotions!!

    ReplyDelete
  30. thoughts on ship dates that are out a month... Do you find these things come in early or usually on time?

    ReplyDelete
  31. I wish there were items I wanted to buy with this promo. I tend to only shop the sale as most things will get reduced and the cashmere sweaters I want are either not on sale, not in my size, not in colors I want (all those candy pastels don't work for me) or are items I already own. Even the earrings I wanted have sold out.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Can anyone comment on the sizing of the Saturday Pants? I am generally a 0 or 00 in pants and skirts - should I get the XS or XXS? TIA!

    ReplyDelete
  33. OperaRach, talking about the SAs doing something they never let you do before, I noticed that too recently. They seem to be much more accommodating and customer friendly. I have got some amazing price adjustments, price matching etc. On the top of all those unheard-of-before promos. I think they must have gotten a memo to get off the high horse.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Thanks, OperaRanch!

JRuby- I will let you know!

  35. To second J Crew JD, I placed an order with Land's End--have to love their return policy, and level of quality. Also love their willingness to price-adjust--I placed a large order a couple days ago with 30% off, and just e-mailed a request to adjust to the 40% off--they usually do with no problem. Also placed a couple orders wtih J Crew, though--must now get back on the 'no shopping' bandwagon ;)

    ReplyDelete
  36. Is the jewelry 25% off plus the 30% off in stores? I am so close to ordering the DS No 2 pencil skirt in ciridian green and a few mixed tape cardigans!

    ReplyDelete
  37. Michelle P. : my store had 30% off jewelry with an additional 30% off on top of that! Sweet deal!

    ReplyDelete
  38. Has anyone seen the Swish skirt in plaid in real life? I've been eyeing it since it was FP but I'm debating whether I'm best off continuing on my JC shopping ban... I just don't know what to expect from the quality (or perhaps the trouble is that I do) and I'm not a big fan of having to do returns.

    ReplyDelete
  39. R-PHD OMG that is awesome!! I'm gonna call my store now!

    ReplyDelete
  40. @ AppGal: I tried on that Madewell Spotted Snowfall sweater and while it is soft, I can see it piling easily AND being uncomfortable in it because it is meant to be tight ('shrunken'). I took it off immediately.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Crap! I was doing so well with my shopping ban and then this happened. The paisley Talia blouse disappeared yesterday and when I saw it this morning, I figured I should jump on it before I completely miss out.
I did buy two Christmas gifts, so I'm not a total lost cause. :)

    ReplyDelete
  42. Wow, that is a great deal, but I. Do. Not. Need. Anything. So many great promos this season, and I have waitlisted items scheduled to arrive into January. Those of you who are shopping, enjoy!

    ReplyDelete
  43. Rynetta PhD - thank you so much for the info on the jewelry promo, I called my PS and she us going to order the Palm Springs necklace for me with both promos. Comes out to $48 before tax!

I ordered a freshwater cultured pearl necklace with 14k white gold from Blue Nile, I used promo SAVENOW (save $100 on orders of $250 or more, plus free 2 day FedEx). I thought about ordering the one from crew, but I wanted one with gold. $100 off was too good to pass up!

    ReplyDelete
  44. Wendy, I'm glad to hear you received a price adjustment at Lands End. I usually have no problem, but I called early this morning to request a price adjustment on two orders that hadn't shipped yet, and the rep told me to reorder. She said she could submit my request for a price adjustment, but it would probably be turned down. I was shocked.

    ReplyDelete
  45. I was just told by LEC that they would submit a price adjustment on an order that hasn't shipped and that it likely would be approved. Jeanne, maybe they were lying to me. Now I don't know whether to reorder or not. Yikes.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Michelle P.: Yay! I'd love to know what you get!

Marietta: no problem!! That's a sweet deal!!!

    ReplyDelete
  47. Someone posted yesterday that in store sweaters were 30% off. Can anyone confirm if you're able to stack that with the other 30% off promo? Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  48. I don't typically wear costume jewelery but a friend gave me the double-strand giraffe necklace as a gift, which is similar to the Palm Springs necklace. I've worn it a few times and it garnered many compliments.

I asked a friend who is a jeweler what he thought of it (I was wearing it at the time), and he said it was quite good quality for costume jewelery and a take on a vintage look when women used to pin their long strands of pearls onto their clothes with interesting brooches.

Like the giraffe necklace the description of the palm springs mentions a spring clasp. I have used that feature to twist the strands so that they are slightly intertwined and it looks very nice. I hope the palm springs necklace is just as good. Great deal if you can get it with the in-store discounts.

  49. JRuby -

I didn't get my lady lace in store. I had ordered it online for $90 and when I found out it was $50 plus 30% off I went to return it. The kind SA let me return and rebuy it. My store never even carried the lady lace. HTH!

    ReplyDelete
  50. I ordered the velvet schoolboy in poppy last night and included a ride along newstand tote in leopard just to get the 30%. Guess I should have waited 'til morning. Oh well, the bag was a wildcard. I like it but I'm not sure I will keep it.

I'm happy about the schoolboy though. I was determined to get one only if it was under $100. So happy with my $69 price. :-)

On a bummer note, my pencil skirt in jazzy purple that I snagged a few weeks ago was canceled last night. Bummer.

  51. If anyone out there is looking for the School Boy Blazer in Blackwatch Tartan - on sale in-store for $139.99 - try La Cantera JCrew at 210-558-1072. I saw several in a size 2, 10, 6, and possibly 8. With 30%, it comes to about $97.99.

Store was packed as of 10:00am.

    ReplyDelete
  52. They are no longer running the additional 30% off sale items as they were yesterday. Therefore, the entire store is 30% off with purchase ( sale or regular price) and they did not allow me to combine my student discount.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Jeanne and CharlotteSometimes, y'all are making me nervous ;) I haven't heard back from Land's End yet, but I assumed they would take care of it without an issue, as I've never had trouble in the past. Their policy states price adjustments within 14 days; they've never resisted because the new price was due to a promo, but I guess we'll see...crossing fingers...

JRuby, have you tried asking an in-store PS to do a red phone price match? If you catch a really nice in-store PS on the phone, they might even place the order for you that way...

    ReplyDelete
  54. LE has gotten much stricker with price adjustments. A couple of weeks back I called and was told the same thing as Jeanne. Then my sister told me she tried and it was a big hassle and the rep was not friendly but said she "would try". I never heard if my sister got the credit yet or not. Anyway, times have changed....I have ordered from them for over 20 years.

    ReplyDelete
  55. I just returned my local B&M (Mayfair Mall - Milwaukee/Wauwatosa) and all their jewelry is already 25-30% off. Then on top of that you can an ADDITIONAL 30% off because of today's promo! I couldn't believe it when the SA told me! I snagged 2 necklaces and a bracelet for $57!

Also - not sure if someone is still looking for Saturday pants? They had a ton of them on sale, multiple colors and sizes.

    ReplyDelete
  56. It's too bad LE is not always allowing price adjustments now but luckily their amazing return policy allows you to just return and reorder. Of course, if the item isn't in stock, you're screwed. And we all know how silly the returning and rebuying process can be, not to mention that it's a huge waste for the company.

I bought a coat last week and it is now $10 cheaper. I actually don't like the color I ordered so I am getting it in a different color, and returning the first one to Sears today. A nice down coat for $50 is not a bad deal. Hope it arrives before Xmas!

    ReplyDelete
  57. It's crazy the shirt I picked up at LEC last week for full price is now $19.99 less the 40%! I didn't love it full price, but now I wonder...I wish the denim shirt I got was online so I could see if there was a price drop, too.

    ReplyDelete
  58. I just called LE CS for a price adjustment on an order I placed two days ago and shipped yesterday. The rep was very nice, said that the credit might not show up until mid next week, but to call back if I didn't see it by then. The difference is only $10 for me, though, and a 100% merino wool sweater dress for <$30 is already an amazing deal at the 30% off.

    ReplyDelete
  59. I am looking for the classic pave' link bracelet in store so I can get that awesome price!! Called a few stores and they didn't have it... has anyone seen one recently?

  61. Anyone seen the DS Viridian Green pencil skirt in store?

    ReplyDelete
  62. Just got back from Madison ave/45th Street store. They snarled at me when I produced my college ID. On the other hand, fell in love with cashmere knit colorblick dress, ivory, grey, camel, black, trim in hunter green and the color formerly known as orange. 30% off, oh well. It's not on the website, I brought it home, decided it's great with taupe shoes and tights in the color formerly known as purple. Now planning a trip to somewhere with a cold but chic climate.

    ReplyDelete
  63. That jewelry promo is awesome, but I wish they had more redeeming crystal pieces right now. Everything was resin. I got a crystal stretch bracelet and the snow sparkles earrings. Not sure that I love the earrings, but I think I like them.

    ReplyDelete
  64. WFF, you crack me up with the colors 'formerly' known as...

I tried to explain 'dark grape' on the phone to SAs and they all understood 'grey.' Why don't just call it PURPLE?

    ReplyDelete
  65. Can anyone comment on the fit of the ankle stretch toothpick jeans? If I wear a 27 in matchsticks, should I size up for the toothpicks?

I own matchstick cords and tried on toothpick cords in store and had to size up, but this was a few years ago, and the cords aren't stretchy like the jeans.

    ReplyDelete
  66. @AppGal: I tried on the Spotted Snowfall Sweater and found it unbearably itchy (thanks to the angora).

But if you must buy it, the sweater is on sale in the Burnt Sienna color in stores for $49.99. You could try it and decide if it's for you.

And for anyone else who is interested in the sweater, there are two X-smalls at the 5th Ave Madewell store in the Burnt Sienna color.

Back on topic: I was going to buy the Nora calf hair flats, but passed once I noticed that it was back to full price.

    ReplyDelete
  67. wish there were something I really wanted!!

    ReplyDelete
  68. ...but after reading the comments, maybe I should check the jewelry section!

    ReplyDelete
  69. Jeanne and CharlotteSometimes, I just got a super sweet reply from LE customer service that they are crediting the difference back to my card. It was personalized with a wish to enjoy a specific item in my order that the CS rep likes--how nice! Crossing my fingers you also get helpful responses...

    Wendy

  70. Rose, I use my most innocent little-girl voice and say something like "Golly, I don't remember the J.Crew name of the color but it looks like light brown..."

    ReplyDelete
  71. @Kay - I found the sizing of the toothpick jeans to be true to my normal J Crew bootcut jean size, but I've never tried the matchsticks, so I can't comment on how the fit compares.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Michelle P, Not sure where you are but try the Los Gatos CA store 408-354-1590 for the classic pave bracelet they had some a few days ago. The San Francisco Centre store also had some as of Tuesday. 415-434-2739 HTH

    ReplyDelete
  73. @ Kay- I wear sz. 27 in Matchsticks and Bootcuts, sz. 2 in other pants like the Minnies, but sized up to the 28's in the Ankle Toothpicks. (The one's on sale on line for 49.99 right now, right?)The stretch in the waist a little after wearing, but I know the sz. 27s would have been too tight. HTH!

    ReplyDelete
  74. lisabfashion, thank you so much for the tip on the classic pave link bracelet! I, too, was looking for it. I'd emailed my PS, but she's gone for the night, and I live in Iowa, so all the Midwestern stores were closed. I called the Los Gatos store you mentioned, and they had it in stock! With all the promos, I got it for $70. (I still had to pay the $8.95 shipping, which was kind of a bummer, but overall, it's a great deal!) :)

    ReplyDelete
  75. Quick update on my purchase (it may be a bit OT, but I'm wondering if I should have handled the situation differently):

After calling a store directly to order the pave bracelet and being told I had to pay shipping because it was a charge-send on a sale item, I called CS, and they said I should have gotten free shipping, regardless of the sale price (based on the details of the 30 percent with free shipping promo, which is good in stores and online).

I called back to the store about it and met with resistance from the SA, who didn't seem to care what CS told me.

Though I was very apologetic, and she eventually redid the sale for me, minus the shipping (after getting a call from a CS rep, in addition to a call from me), I could tell she thought I was a big jerk--and that I was on her last nerve. I ended up feeling like she was really ticked off with me, though I tried to be very polite.

So I'm wondering: Was I out of line in this situation? I certainly didn't mean to be, but I felt I was getting one message from CS and another from the SA--and of course, if I could avoid paying shipping, I'd certainly like to do so! :)

    ReplyDelete
  76. Leah, Don't take it personally I shop the Los Gatos store infrequently and reluctantly (even though it is the store closest to me) because some of the SAs there are NOT friendly or helpful. Sorry I didn't warn you. You were not out of line!!

    ReplyDelete
  77. 30% off online & in stores plus free shipping for $100+ orders code SNOWMAN exp. Dec. 19.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Thanks, lisabfashion! On the phone with the SA, I felt like an Iowa yokel floundering about in the big city. LOL! The more I apologized and stammered about the issue, the more stonily silent she was. It really unnerved me!

  79. @ JRuby

My online PS matched the in store price of the lady lace. Just wanted to let you know.
