jo - I don't believe the double-serge wool skirts are on sale. I know for a fact the viridian green one is not as I had it checked.

ReplyDeleteSale jewelry seems to be hit or miss ... prices are inconsistent in the B&Ms I have visited ... but you can catch a great deal if you look around. It's old news, I know, but I think the Lulu Frost bangles are gorgeous and I've gotten so many compliments on my navy ones. I just got the tortoise one for 39.99 and also the Crystal Brulee Necklace (backordered online) for $51.
Gigi and Jo, I was the one who reported double serge wool skirts being on sale after Ema. I even remember on of the JCAs getting the skirt in her size for the sale price from MAdison Ave store. When I was in the store (Hackensack, NJ) they only have violet that was not on sale. The SA did not know anything about the sale but I mentioned that I read it online and she checked and confirmed that they were in fact on sale in other stores and she said that they will price match it. I wasn't really interested since I already got the color I wanted but I was mainly checking for this blog. She definitely said red, green, yellow, teal and gray are on sale but not the violet. And interestingly that's the only color they had left when I remember maybe a week ago they had plenty in all colors. My guess is that did go on sale and quickly sold out. Not sure that it applies to all stores but they seem to be much more willing to accommodate than they used to.

ReplyDeleteJo, I confirm what ajc said, that the bright violet double-serge is not on sale but the other colored ones are (teal, spice gold and bright flame for sure, I don't know about the other ones because they were sold-out of them or catalog only).

ReplyDeleteYesterday my husband went in to look for a few things for himself and I asked him if he'd see if they had the black drapey sequin tank in stock. They had it on sale plus the additional 30%. Wore it last night with my tartan perfect shirt and some jeans...love!

ReplyDeleteMy store has 30% off EVERYTHING. I overheard the manager saying to the staff that it cannot be combined with any other discount, including the student discount.
I went in to buy a present but ended up getting things for myself. I found a fabulous red belt for $14, a candle for $7, and the acorn Flair Skirt for $35 after discount. The Flair is still $108 online!
Also they had tons of earmuffs in all colors for $29.99, or $21 after discount.
ReplyDeleteJust got back from a quick run to my B&M. I was relieved that there wasn't anything there I had to have. I probably would have bit if they'd had a Boulevard trench in my size but alas I only saw a couple size 00's and one size 12 in saddle. (This was Corte Madera if any of you are looking for that size)
ReplyDeleteOverall, looked pretty picked over; even the Crewcuts had nothing for my 8 year old. We have a holiday party tonight and I would have loved to find a new button down shirt for him but there was nothing in his size (only very large or very small).
I think Jewelry would have been a good deal but I didn't see anything I really needed or wanted.
Ema, thanks for the specific info. I had no luck on my end. My in-store assoc said that customer service called NY and the skirts were still regular price. I felt like I was being told that the customer service rep called corporate to verify and were told they're fp. I wish I'd been able to hear the conversation. Of course I do not want to keep waiting for my skirts on waitlist and can get them now and on sale, that would be preferred. I called the NY store myself, but no luck. Again, thanks for the specifics.
ReplyDeleteGigi, what color are you looking for? I haven't seen the viridian green but I double checked the bright flame yesterday and it was on sale (with the sale price on the tag). Specifically I saw a 00 and two big sizes (like a 12 and a 10, but don't quote me on these) but they might have more in the back.

jo, for your peace of mind Madison Avenue (Collection) never had the bright blue one. I actually never seen it in store, I think it is online only (like the neon azalea).
Now, long shot but if someone sees a Blythe in the etravagant green color in a 0 or 00 could you PLEASE put it on hold for me and/or let me know which store. Thank you so much!
