There is also a nice update to the Sale section (click here to shop online) this morning. With over 1,020+ items for Women and 350+ items for Men.
I woke up this morning excited to see what the next promotion would bring! Although I am not super-excited about this one, I am happy to see one being offered.
Will you be checking out J.Crew? Are there any items you are interested in getting? If so, please share. :)
Looks like there was a bit of an update (1024 items) this morning - no new markdowns from what I can tell.
ReplyDeletethis year's holiday verse here.Jingle jingle indeed.
ReplyDelete30% off also in store, but Final Sale. I saw lots of new markdowns and further markdowns, among them:
ReplyDelete- Minimalist mockneck sweater, now $39.99
- Leopard sweater dress
- Cafe Capri in Harvest Tweed
- Snowden funnel-neck sweater jacket
- Handknit fisherman cable-knit cardigan
Some coats are also now on sale, but can you believe it, by about $10 -- so originally $358, now $348, or something ridic like that. The envelope coat is $225 though, in all colors, and the green one is admittedly delish in real life, although about as warm as wearing an actual envelope. Not quite for chilly winters.
I still want the red cafe capris but they don't offer us any promos and feel such a sucker watching everyone else scooping up treats!
ReplyDeleteSubscribing. :)
ReplyDeleteI placed an order for the only reason that both the overtime neck-tie top and the interoffice skirt popped back in my size and no final sale, which is a huge plus with the sizing inconsistencies. I tried the neck-tie top when it came out in store and find it to run small so I sized up to a 2 (I tried a 4 as well and it was fairly big so I hope the 2 is my size). I never tried the skirt but the 0 was the only option so I thought that I would give it a try since it is normally my size. The top is lovely but I wouldn't know what to wear with it besides the skirt, so I hope that they will both fit or I will probably return both. Threw in some shorts and a dress for my daughter to reach the 30% off minimum.
ReplyDeleteSilver_lining posted previously about the men' sherpa jacket pilling like mad, and I was wondering if this is happening too to the women's sherpa hoodie?
ReplyDeleteOk, I'm ticked off.
ReplyDeleteI went to put a cashmere scarf in my bag, and there are NO colors left except white. REALLY? what is going on?
Anyone else notice items are being HIDDEN?
Tabitha,
ReplyDeleteSend me a note if you would like to me to order them for you and ship them over to you!
All of these fabulous codes and I've used none. I think that's a good thing. :)
ReplyDeleteNothing for me because the only thing I wanted (plaid coat) sold out weeks ago.
Pathos,
ReplyDeleteI received the women's sherpa zip hoodie in ivory a couple of weeks ago - I've worn it several times without any pilling issues, but have yet to wash it.
I have used the percent off an free ship no min. promos. Hoping for one of those.
ReplyDeleteStill waiting for my items to arrive from two promos ago!! Hopefully today....
ReplyDeleteI think I am done. Stick a fork in me. :)
ReplyDeletepathos - I have the Sherpa hoodie in the chili color. I've worn it tons, and no problem with pilling yet.
ReplyDeleteEma, I tried that top in my regular size with the paisley skirt here. Perhaps you can try it with some other bottom that has bits of navy and grey.
ReplyDeleteIt's a great top!
Ladies, all the colored pencil skirts are on sale in stores for $79 plus 30% off, included the store only teal color (the exact color code is DTU). The Collection store on Madison Avenue has still a few of them if you want to give them a call. $55 is a pretty good deal but it is final sale so if you haven't seen the color IRL then you might be stuck with something that you don't llke.
ReplyDeleteIt's official, J Crew are opening a flagship on Regent St in London next year!
ReplyDeleteT., I am happy for you. Your comment prompted me to search for the opening of the Vancouver store. Finally, it will be here next year!
ReplyDeleteRead more about it here.
Now that there is a new promotion every 24 hours or so, and only about once a week are there new markdowns (maybe), I really wish that J Crew's website had "New Markdowns" in their sale sections. I'm not liking their game playing in this regard...things on/off the website; prices up/down/up again...what's with that? I have a few items marked for that "See the Sale" website...funny thing is, the tweed jacket is one item I marked, and it's in stock/out of stock every two or three days - for weeks now - in my size. Too tired and too busy to keep up, and have enough to wear! (Not even discussing quality issues here. I think we ALL need to email Mickey about that - bombard him with the emails!)
ReplyDeleteCongrats Londoners and Vancouverites! Hopefully a men's store will follow soon in Toronto.
ReplyDeleteI'm tempted to bite -- can anyone review the Cashmere getaway hoodie item 34051 for $188? Does it run small/snug or TTS?
ReplyDeleteI love the soft feel of cashmere but have been burned in the past w/JC's quality. For those who've bought & worn anything in this year's cashmere, can anyone report on its pill-resistance or lack thereof?
Can anyone comment on the Blythe blouse in maraschino cherry? I haven't seen the color IRL. I have the pencil skirt in vibrant flame and pants in modern red.
ReplyDeleteWill the maraschino cherry clash with these colors? On my monitor it looks to have a touch of pink, whereas the vibrant flame & mo.red have more orange.
Ema, thanks for the heads-up. I love that color (the teal), but my store sold out of it in a blink. I called, but no size 10 in the Madison Ave store :( If anyone comes across it, could you please let me know? They said they do have a size 12, if that works for someone.
ReplyDeleteWendy
Connor,
ReplyDeleteI have the Blythe in maraschino cherry. I find it's a true red, for what that's worth. The only thing I have in the modern red is the chino shorts from the summer, which the Blythe would not work with, IMO. Hope that helps!
Connor, maraschino cherry has more blue in it than vibrant flame or modern red do. HTH
ReplyDeleteNot for me: I'm done with J.Crew until the new year!
ReplyDeleteI just see these promotions and want to gag :(.
They have too much inventory of bad quality stuff. Not going to bite.
Clicquot, I asked about a men's store a couple weeks ago, and the sales rep confirmed that a men's store will be coming to Yorkdale (Toronto) next autumn. She said they are also opening J. Crew stores (women's only) in Vancouver, then Calgary.
ReplyDeleteEma, thanks for the heads up! Very long shot, but has anyone seen a viridian green pencil skirt in size 4? My email is loulou7329 at hotmail dot com.
Tabitha - very excited to hear you will finally be getting a J. Crew in the UK!! Hopefully they won't be marking up the prices too much.

ReplyDeleteConnor, I haven't seen that blouse, but I have a couple perfect fit tees in the maraschino cherry. It's a beautiful true red, with no orange. It's the color of maraschino cherries!
ReplyDeleteNice to have a J.Crew in the UK. Wish they would have had one when I lived there (just to have looked only most likely) b/c I bet it still would have been cheaper (and will be) to have items bought in the US and just sent to my parents to pick up or bring when I saw them!
ReplyDeleteConnor I have had nothing but good luck on the Cashmere this year. I have bought I think 5 sweaters so far in cashmere and had only very slight piling under the arm on one of them. I am in love with the cashmere cable crew. I have two of them and want a third. I have had quality issues on some other pieces this year. Just lost a button today on my Majesty Pea Coat. So annoying. JCrew sometimes goes 95% of the way on quality, why not go the whole way?
ReplyDeleteI apologize for being OT, but can anyone comment on how long it usually takes for gift cards ordered from jcrew.com to arrive? Mine supposedly shipped last Tuesday but still no sign of them... I'm getting worried!
ReplyDelete@ CAM, Rose, Jeanne & Sarah --
ReplyDeleteThank you for your helpful info! Looks like I'll have to pass on the maraschino cherry blouse(since I need an orangy-red to go w/my modern red & vib flame pieces) and buy cashmere instead!
@Ema and @Wendy - thank you SO much for posting about the teal pencil skirt at the Madison Ave store! I just snapped up the size 12 and am thrilled! I love this website....
ReplyDeleteWound up getting two (!) Sterling Skirts thanks to my email conversation with Mr. Drexler. Still shocked that he personally writes back. And the good news is that they are planning to bring this skirt back next fall. Hopefully they'll add more colors, too.
ReplyDeleteOT: There appear to be a few J.Crew New Arrivals on the Net-A-Porter site...see them in this post. :)
ReplyDeleteI don't know why I bother pretending that I'm not going to order more stuff...picked up the hacking double serge jacket in heather acorn this morning as well as the sterling skirt in heather acorn which popped back in my size. I already have the pencil in the same color but would like to see the fit on this since my hips are always my JC problem area.
ReplyDeleteAlso bought a pair of the cashmere lined leather gloves as a gift so I guess I'm getting somewhere!
Connor, I can also second that I'm also very pleased with the softness and quality of this year's J Crew cashmere--I bought two snowbound sweaters, two boyfriend cardigans, the crew neck boxy sweater and a crew neck henley and have had minimal pilling--largely due to the friction of my book bag, not J. Crew's quality. HTH
ReplyDeleteSale alert: harvest tweed pencil skirt is on sale for $99 less 30% off in store. Many other markdowns but since I wasn't eyeing anything else in particular I didn't notice which ones (I haven't seen any jacket though). I saw a liquid silk skiet in navy marked down to $29.99 (the casablanca blue one was in the sale section too but I believe it was $89.99)!!! They are also having a 30% off fp sweaters promo that includes cashmere
ReplyDeleteI bit on this one - ordered the MacAlister Wedges in Nut. They've been hopping in and out of my cart now for a few months, so I thought I'd better try them before the dreaded Final Sale returns.
ReplyDeletetrying the double cloth metro coat in P6 in 2 colors, dark eggplant and also the oasis green. I imagine these prices are as good as they get before final sale restarts?
ReplyDeleteI just got a pop-back of the glitter Monas in Maraschino Cherry. Glad I stalked!
ReplyDeletethis promotion is good thru the 16th now correct? Just want to make sure I am not reading it wrong online
ReplyDeleteLots of fresh B&M markdowns today, although the bright violet pencil in my store was still full price. The paisley pencil was $69.99 pre-30% extra (loved it on, but it was sewn funny so that it 'pooched' just under my rear--um, no thanks). Tall cafe trousers in wool were $89.99 pre-30%, No.2 pencil in glen plaid (w/bow) was maybe $99.99 pre-30%, a couple of the wool cropped cafe capris in different prints were $99.99 pre-30%. The minimalist mockneck was $39.99 pre-30% in solids (didn't check colorblocked). HTH someone :) A pretty well-stocked sale section, but I wasn't blown away by anything...
