I'd venture to say they had a good 30 pairs, all marked $79.99, plus the additional 20% off (another aficionada had a pair of shoes shipped from that store yesterday and the SA also let her use her 25% discount card on top of the 20% - it's worth a shot!). ReplyDelete^FFM I got these in 28 and they run HUGE--I am looking for 27 now too. Not to be found--already did a "we will find it" with no luck.
ReplyDeleteJust for reference--these matchsticks are TOTALLY different than the "deep indigo wash" and the "premium indigo wash" in both fit and fabric. These are a much softer fabric with a little stretch and not sold short or long so they are SUPER long. I was hoping this would stir some returns but not so far.
So comfortable though--I am sad there are none to be found:(
bug pin: You are right...they don't give a choice of inseam...the only one is 33". Weird though that the inside of the waistband says 28R...I got 27R and 28R, but I'm keeping the 27's, and returning the 28's. I was going to exchange for 26's this morning, but then they sold out before I could call in, unfortunately. :(

ReplyDeletesilver_lining: I am actually a size 2 in J.Crew pant/jeans, so I opted for trying the 27's and 28's, just in case. The 27's fit well...just a tad big in the waist, and that's why I was considering sizing down. Not sure if the 26's would work, but thought I would at least try...now I can't, though. I think they run TTS, but have a bit of stretch in them...I wore mine yesterday, and they didn't stretch too badly. HTH!

This particular matchstick is basically sold out but I have generally been a 28 in all the matchsticks but this "ultra dark" one is different fabric and 28 was too big. I take that back--I took a 27 in the distressed vintage slim jeans.

It's a little ridiculous to try to "recoup" what you paid on a worn item, especially when you can get the item for about half what you're trying to charge, online today.

I just feel that if the tags have been removed and it's been worn (even if it was only worn once), it's no longer new in my opinion and the seller should be able to accept a reduced price. I think the thrill of taking the tag off & wearing something for the first time is worth something! Call me crazy, LOL
