I was on the "hunt" for a classic white v-neck cardigan at the Banana Republic website. In my search for a coupon code, I stumbled across one that is quite useful but limited time-wise (unfortunately).
Gap Inc. is offering free shipping with code SCHOOL on any order (and any size) as long as you shop at 2 or more of their online stores in the same order. This offer expires 7/22/08 (at 11:59 pm ET). Not enough time to take advantage of the offer, but at least it is something. :)
Banana Republic also has 30% off certain new arrivals until July 31, no code required.
ReplyDeleteIf you shop GAP in the store, your receipt will include a link to a survey - if you go online and take it you'll get a 20% off code to use on any regular-priced item, which is awesome. I purchased a pair of navy wide-leg sailor pants for $15, filled out the survey and got 20% off a sleeveless white ruffled oxford shirt that is a new arrival and likely won't go on sale for a while. Great idea if you want to get some new arrivals at a discount! Thanks, GAP!
ReplyDeleteJ.Crew really, really, really needs to take lessons from the "4 Stores"...this offer is the way to do it...thanks for the code. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the fact that BR (and GAP, Old Navy + Piperlime) allow for free shipping with no minimums. AND they allow stackable coupons (online at least, though not in stores)! It's frustrating that they won't accept your 20% off coupon in the store when they're running a 20% off sale (it's either/or, so they say)...this happened to me yesterday... But online, there are some major deals to be had! 15% off, plus the rewards cards you get for spending money with them, plus free shipping...
ReplyDeleteFFM, you're right - J.Crew should take a look at their competitors - they could learn a thing or two!
I got the code via email and placed an order. Great deals going on!

ReplyDeletei have to say, the gap silver card is awesome. free shipping on every order and during certain times you get double reward points (so 10 points for every dollar you spend). i just got a $20 reward card just for shopping at old navy for my son (and a few things for myself) this summer.
ReplyDeleteWhoo hoo! Great day to buy from GAP Inc. I had a 10% off coupon from being a BR card holder, I used the shipping discount, and I took advantage of the 30% off new BR arrivals and got a cardigan I've been eyeing! (J Crew, are you listening? You could have gotten my money instead if you'd just shape up.)
ReplyDeleteMany thanks to you lovely aficionadas!
laura1: i'm planning on visiting GAP/BR/ON today actually, they do have great deals going on now...and i have a bunch of coupons from them :)
ReplyDeletei'm also planning on visiting JCrew to see if any fall stuff is out. JCrew is still my favorite for clothing, but they're kindof in the dog house right now...:)
and i really don't know why i still have a jcrew card...i don't use it since i get better perks with other visa's.
I love the 4 stores being together! So easy!
ReplyDeleteOn a side note... I got an e-mail back from J. Crew customer service today in response to the rant I sent them last week. It was a 3 paragraph e-mail that was very apologetic AND included a promotional gift card AND free overnight shipping on my next order. So, at least that is something!
Also - Ann Taylor Loft has a buy one, get one 50% off deal on all sale items! There is some pretty cute stuff...
ReplyDeletedr.j - you're making me think i should put all my disgruntled website guffs into writing and send off to J.Crew as well - I'm sure they appreciate feedback (good and bad) - and heck, if there's a possibility of a gift card in it....why not! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm getting more and more into BR. Still not crazy about Gap or Old Navy though. I want to like Piperlime because they carry brands that Zappos doesn't, but their prices are a little high, even with "free" shipping and returns factored in.
