J.Crew sent this email, suggesting that new arrivals should be in-stores starting this Friday. The link for "online" is here and the link for "stores" is here. Neither link is informative. However, I do like the idea of seeing some new items in their B&M stores. :)
Are you excited by new arrivals hitting the store shelves soon? Do you think the "additional 25% off sale items" sale will end soon? Do you think more items will be on sale starting Friday (or less, because they will be shipped back to the main J.Crew warehouse)?
Forget summer's hot couple, I have to restrain myself from dreaming about fall! Does anyone else do that? In the summer, I love the weather but I dream about winter clothes, and in the winter I love the snow but can't wait for summer clothing.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if they are going to have any "additional off" sales online anytime soon - so much of the sale merch. on the website is much more expensive than it is in the stores. I haven't ordered online since the "upgrade" but an additional off sale might tempt me.

I personally am excited for the fall clothes, and am hoping this is what they're referring to, because the cafe capris have been out forever!
ReplyDeleteI think I might be even more excited for fall because it means other stuff I've had my eye on might actually get marked down.
alexis: given that some stores mark things down at different times for other stores, and certainly at different times from the website, could we start a sale watch topic? So we could list things we want that are currently available in stores/online, but not yet on sale?
thank you for being so open to our ideas! you're the best!
I might have to go into the Tyson's II store on Friday when I'm in the area to see what's new. They already have a little corduroy jacket in navy, red and khaki out last weekend that I thought was cute.
ReplyDeleteMJ in VA
MJ: I hope they offer an additional percent off online (and update the sale section too!)
ReplyDeleteKater: I think that is a great idea! I notice that J.Crew is putting their new merchandise on sale in stores a lot sooner now. (E.g. there is a dress in my store that has only been out 2 weeks and now is on "final sale". Even the store clerk couldn't believe how quickly it went on sale. But online it shows up as its regular price.)
Once in awhile, I will have a post (usually the start of the weekend) asking J.Crew Aficionadas to report back any sale items that are noteworthy (like the Fiona Jackets, the buttery twill cargo pants, jewelry, etc).
I am thinking of making that a weekly post on Fridays- I think it will tie in well with your suggestion. :)
Alexis: Great idea especially since store shopping is the way to go right now. I've seen quite a few folks benefit from that sort of information exchange on this blog. (including me for a number of items)!! It's really an awesome network we have going on here.
ReplyDeleteI'm hopeful that new items will accompany an improved website. I really want some new work clothes!
ReplyDeleteJCrewMommy: I agree on both points.
ReplyDeleteShopping in-store seems like the much safer way to go. (Its too bad, because I use to do most of my shopping online. This is especially tough for those who don't live near a store too).
I also like the network we have built here. I think its fantastic!!! :)
alexis: I think that would be great for a weekly post! Especially as all of us have said - in store shopping is the only way to go right now. AND I think (or am hoping) that all the stuff that is in the "new arrivals" section right now - the belle skirt, the florentine ss-sleeved sweater, maybe even the papaya double-strand necklace - will go on sale once the new stuff comes in!
ReplyDeleteThe last time I was in a b&m, the cs told me that all stores have the same prices. I knew that wasn't true, but I couldn't remember which store. Next time I go in, I will be better armed because I'd like another pair of buttery twill trousers, especially at 19.99 with 25% off.
ReplyDeleteI too am hoping that some of their items get marked down, like the city fit capris and the slub cotton tunic top. I must have that top!
Math Teacher,
ReplyDeleteThe stores are running a special promotion on city fit capris right now (the ones that aren't on final sale), for 59.50 (I think), but you would also get to use your teacher discount on top of that price. I purchased a canvas pair.

The long cardigan doesn't excite me one bit, but on the whole, as I've posted before: Yes, I am super excited to see J.Crew's fall offerings - although how they can top all the great items from fall/winter 2007, I don't know...
ReplyDeleteBy the way, Friday is also the day Nordstrom's starts its AWESOME anniversary sale. Absolutely nothing ever bought at Nordstrom's, by the way, is 'final sale.' So I will be headed to my mall Friday for that, and will also stop in at the JC and check out what sounds like will be limited fall offerings :-)
Hmm, the cafe capris are not exactly new . . . that said, I love them! I especially love the sweet marmalade version I got last week for $22.99--much better than $79.50.
ReplyDeleteI am also terrible about wanting fall stuff in the summer. Here in the Pacific NW early fall is generally much warmer than early summer, and I am sweating in my cashmere and wool on those 75 degree October days!
According to UPS, my super 120s dress is due today. Still waiting for the adjustment to the store sale price of $49.99. The dress is $180 on the website and has never been marked down. Now if only they'd put the matching Abby jacket on sale.
anonymous @ 3:44: thanks for the info on the capri pants. I'll check my b&m store on Friday.
ReplyDeleteI wish we had a Nordstrom's and/or a Macys. As pretty as Charleston, SC, is, there's not much great shopping here. And, I have to go downtown and pay for parking just to visit my one and only J Crew.
hexicon, I snagged the Abby jacket last fall & love it.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of the cafe capris, I also have the sweet marmalade and I had them on last time I was in a store. A cs told me that there would be a pant version coming out this fall. Not sure what a pant version would look like, but if they're as good as the capris...
ReplyDeletemath teacher - Nordstrom does offer free shipping - usually it's on orders of $200 and up, but often you can get it on anything. And Nordstrom's customer service is really outstanding (no, I don't work for the company - I just really think they do a great job, from presentation to service). But you are right, nothing beats browsing in the store, especially during sales....
ReplyDeleteMath teacher: Don't know where your Jcrew is but I had called Tysons store last week and they said they had a ton of the buttery twill trousers. You might want to give them a call. Tyson's store- US +1 7037349555 Call
ReplyDelete(at 19.99)
ReplyDeletejcrewbug: I thought I'd check my store first, then call if they don't have any.
ReplyDeletela belle helene: I was able to shop in Nordstrom's last year in Durham, NC, and loved it! You're right the customer service was excellent. (Long story, they shipped the wrong item and completely helped me out in getting the right one. I was incredibly impressed.)
Hehehe - when I read "Summer's hot couple..." in the email subject line, I thought 20% off and Free Shipping! That would put me in the mood to spend a little money.
ReplyDeleteshelby: now that would have been a hot couple! not the cafe capri and the long cardigan!
ReplyDeleteI have to say that even with being as put off by J Crew as I am at the moment, I am completely DROOLING over some of the pieces in the new catalog! These new items just might make up for not getting the other things I ordered. ;)
ReplyDeleteI saw this e-mail too and I think I might have said something. I looked all over on the website. There is a cashmere tunic that I dont remember but not much else is new. I will go to the store friday afternoon/evening to see if there is anything new there. That would be fun.
ReplyDeleteI think I overheard the extra percent off in stores was going to end when they got new merchandise in. But I couldn't tell you for sure. I hope they keep it for a while. I forgot how much i enjoy store shopping sometimes. Online can be so easy and right there but there is nothing like feeling the fabric and trying clothes on. I love that giddy excitement
I haven't gotten this email! Is there a code of the additional 25% off? Also, I think that back to school post will be perfect when all the new fall clothing starts rolling in!
ReplyDeleteashley the extra 25% off is in stores only as of right now
ReplyDeleteSally, do you have the August catalogue already?
ReplyDeleteI'm ready!!! I hope they have the website running smoothly before the fall stuff comes out. But I won't hold my breath!
ReplyDeleteLa Belle Helene (one of my all-time favorite operas, by the way)
ReplyDeleteHow would you say the Abby jacket fits? I am between a 4 and a 6, depending on fit. If the fit is tight in the shoulders I usually am better off going with the 6 and having the waist nipped, though because of alteration costs I like to buy a 4 if I can fit my shoulers into it.
Hexicon,
ReplyDeleteHow did you get the super 120s dress for $49.99 less 25%? Which store is it $49.99 at ? Also just to confirm, are you talking about item 90821 and what colours are on sale??
Thanks so much!!!!
I've wanted this dress for ages but couldn't bear shelling out $180 for it!!
Hexicon,
ReplyDeleteI found the Abby jacket to be looser in the shoulders than most of J.Crew's jackets. I'm a swimmer, so I have broad shoulders, and I find many JC jackets to be v. narrow in the shoulders. In the Abby, I took an 8, so I tend to think that you could wear the smaller of the sizes you usually take (but can't guarantee it). ... Hope that helps :-)
Oh, and thanks - I love the opera, too :-)
I was in my local store today, saw lots of colors of cords, green, red, mustard. Saw a gray argyle cardi with sequins! a cute ruffle tee...fall is coming. Picked up the french stripe tie jacket. It's adorable and it was 37 $!
ReplyDeletealso, definitely agree with B&M prices being cheaper and 25%!!!
ReplyDeletecaw: Is the french stripe tie jacket a heavier cotton - do you see wearing it in the fall?? thanks!
ReplyDeleteA, yes, it's 98021. Just to be clear, I haven't yet received the price adjustment, though I CS promised me I would receive it when I ordered the dress from online. When I called the Seattle (Pacific Place) store on the 9th, the SA Whitney said they'd just sold their last one (in black). Yet it has never been marked down on the website.
ReplyDeleteThe dress arrived today and I like it but I don't LOVE it. It's worth the sale price but not the full price. I ordered a petite, since I'm 5'5" and often petites fit me better, but really I'm a tall person with short legs! The waist is really high, hitting me at my ribcage. I think a slight empire line is the intended effect, but I will have to have it taken in, which will be complicated due to the pleated waist detail. The fit in the hip is kind of skimpy and the back slit goes all the way up to the fanny, so I will have to have that altered as well.
La Belle Helene, thanks for the tip. I lift weights, and it's done wonders for my neck/shoulder pain but my shoulders have filled out slightly and I too find J.Crew jackets snug in the shoulders. Sounds like I can take a 4--when they mark it down!
I'd say it's in keeping with the candance, or even the piazza's from last year (remember those. I have three!love them)...also the katie which I have in stripe. No wool that's for sure. You can wear into indian summer/fall. I am in NY so many times it doesn't get cold cold til October and this jacket would be a good tranistion piece, in between colors but not too heavy. Something about it is quite cute, the tie and ruffle perhaps. Can see it with black, white, gray, khaki...
ReplyDeleteI saw both the Daisy eyelet jacket and the Soleil d'Or jacket in stores. I was not particuarlly impressed with either. Esp. the Soleil d'Or, it kind of felt and looked like fake leather (i could be mixing them up again but I think this is what I saw)
ReplyDeleteHexicon,
ReplyDeleteI don't mean to laugh at your problems, but "the back slit goes all the way up to the fanny" made me laugh. I just visualized how attractive that would be...:-) I've had to partly close some slits, too, because I figure there is only so much skin-viewing I'm going to give away for free :-)
Good to know your issues with the dress, anyway. I love sheaths, and actually have found several at BR over the years that I love. I'm not a fan of empire-waist dresses at all, which it seems JC does a lot off...
OK what is with all the pleating under empire waists. It makes everyone look ten lbs heavier (i mean unless you are 20 lbs too skinny and then I say go for it). Or it makes people look pregnant, as it does on me. Now, I dont know about y'all but I try not to walk around looking like I have a belly bump... Why is this style in this year?? Its on almost all of Jcrew's dresses and I am not a fan! I like empire waists or close fitting sheath dresses for work but I dont like the pleating... what's wrong with is nice flat front?
ReplyDeletela belle helene: Yes am in my local store so often that they give it to me as soon they receive it. They were told not to put them out until the 22nd or 24th. The items will not be available on-line until then.
ReplyDeleteOne thing to note: some of the items seem a bit over priced from previous seasons. (Even the store manager mentioned that.)
They are putting out several more varieties of sweater jackets and (as someone predicted in an earlier post) more single-strand necklaces.
Also, a couple of new versions of the Amelia tank, this time including a dark green/blue "bright peacock".
Lots of "Babble" type necklaces also.
Also this top http://www.jcrew.com/AST/Browse/WomenBrowse/Women_Shop_By_Category/shorts/solids/PRDOVR~89783/89783.jsp
They are doing this same print as the top in a v-neck sleeveless dress.
Some tweed in a beautiful deep green pattern.
The "Ecole" Jacket: a velvet fitted blazer, $168
A "Tuesday Trench" in wool in Navy and Deep persimmon. $275
Some new colors and styles of the Dream Sweater (same decent price point as before)
Some AMAZING patent leather flats and peep-toes. One shoe is available in a flat or peep-toe has a Giant leather bow set at an angle. Flat:$160, Peep-toe pump: $198.
Boucle Mohair Lucille Jacket: This is more of a coat with a great neckline (this was in the look book for those of you who saw that)Spicy Mustard and Orange $285
There are also some of the similar looks in fabric pumps that we've see in seasons past.
Some patent belts, skinny and a little wide.
The Quincy Collection: A quilted set of Bags (Similar to the Marc Jacobs look) in a hobo and tote style in a gorgeous Vine Green. Golden Yellow and Graphite.
The Item I am most coveting is the Pique Andrea Jacket available in Honey Glaze and Bright Rhubarb. $230.
I think the shoes and the jackets are little excessive in price but watch me run out and grab some anyway...I'm such a J Crew Sucker!
Hope this helps give a visual...
La Belle Helene--I work in a conservative office and there's no way I'm going to give any of those old farts a glimpse of anything. :-)
ReplyDeleteIt's always seemed odd to me that many of J.Crew's suiting dresses are so revealing. If a customer is buying a garment like that it's a fairly good guess that she works in a conservative field and doesn't want to show her English Muffin or Yankee Doodles, to paraphrase "Will and Grace."
WOW Sally THanks! that was an awesome detailed post. I cant wait to go Friday and see what I see.
ReplyDeleteHexicon: ditto... who can wear spaghetti straps to the office?? I work in a more casual office, but I still wouldn't dare be caught dead doing that. And really cleavage isnt ok and neither are bra straps.
omigod sally! can you scan that thing and send alexis the pictures!?!!
ReplyDeleteI'm kidding. sort of. :)
kater: Believe me that was my initial intention but I forgot that my husband sold our scanner in a garage sale! So now I'm trying to figure out if I can take digital pics of it and down load them that way...we'll see how it goes.
ReplyDeleteyay, fall stuff...i know i've said it here a bazillion times but i love fall...:P
ReplyDeletesally: good to know there will be some great sweater jackets...i've said this before too but i'm hoping for a great true red sweater jacket this fall/winter...i'm keeping my fingers crossed.
so the new catalog is in stores now? i might have to make a trip tomorrow since my little one has preschool tomorrow! :) since i'm a familiar face maybe they'll give me one (i'll call first)...thanks for the hot tip sally! :)
you are a doll to even try sally! I am beside myself wondering what it all looks like, especially the bow shoes, the single strand necklaces, and the andrea jacket you're coveting!
ReplyDeleteAlexis: I love your blog and think that it's such a valuable source of info for us aficionadas/aficianados.
ReplyDeleteI hope it's ok that I shared some details of the items before their release. I hope I will not cause a problem.
Sally, is there any way you can post which store this was?
ReplyDeleteccbmum: I know that many of the stores here in Texas got them yesterday. If we Texans have it already, I'm sure most everywhere else does too.
ReplyDeleteAbout the true red sweater jacket, from what I can tell from the catalog, the closest they come to that is the deep persimmon in a cord jacket and the Tuesday trench, which I think is still a little on the orangy side. I'll keep my eyes open though. I hope you can get your catalog too, Good Luck!
anon at 5:59: I love my store and I would hate for them to get in trouble. I'm sure you'll understand if I don't share that info. :)
ReplyDeleteI saw the new catalog yesterday and some of the things in it are absolutely luscious. I mean, I may have to splurge and pay full price for a few of the items that I am so totally lusting for! I did note that the overall feeling I got when looking at the catalog was one of total femininism (is this a word?) Jewel tones, pearls, cropped sleeves. The ONLY problem that I forsee is the cropped sleeves on the (very) expensive jackets. I can't see wearing them more than a season or two before they lose their "fashion edge". Also, as we have come to expect from J Crew, lots of multicolored pairings (i.e. blue coats with green elbow length gloves, etc.). It all made me very excited for fall to come!! :)
ReplyDeleteOh Sally, thanks so much for sharing! I wish I could get an advance copy, too. I am intrigued by the green tweed - do you mind telling if it's a skirt or jacket or what? Thanks so much!
ReplyDeletejcrewjunkie, I totally agree about cropped sleeves on expensive jackets...that's the type of thing I'd have to wait for a sale to purchase.
ReplyDeleteDid you see anything in the catalogue like last fall's Bella jackets?
What is really funny is that literally today I got my July catalog. Now I know here in TN we can sometimes be a bit slow on the uptake (Minus my PROUD Chattanooga with its VW plant!!)but its July 16th?? I wonder why it has been so slow to get here. Anyway, its nothing I haven't seen online, and at least I have you guys to keep my current :)
ReplyDeletei just got my mail and saw a jcrew catalog in it...BUT it was another July one....aaarrrggg!!! i was excited for a minute though. thanks jcrewjunkie and sally (and anyone else i missed) for sharing...
ReplyDeleteLaVerte: i used to get my catalogs early when i lived in san francisco, but since i moved to the 'burbs of the city they come later...i think that it's too late to be sending the July one though! lately i've been picking them up at the store since they have them much earlier these days...:)
ReplyDeletela belle helene: sorry, the tweed is on a pencil skirt with some sparkle (I can't see the sparkle from the pic)it's priced at $175
ReplyDeletejcrewjunkie: totally agree with on about the sleeves. Fortunately, the Andrea Jacket that I MUST have, has long sleeves! YAY!
BTW!!! I can't believe my 7/11 order that was expedited to 3 day, actually arrived in 3 DAYS! No tracking info on-line, none on the receipt and none was available to CSR when I called...WooHoo Now lets see if my second order placed the same day but sent regular shipping will ever arrived. :)
sorry that last post was me.
ReplyDeleteomigod I already want that tweed pencil skirt and I HAVEN'T EVEN SEEN IT.
ReplyDeleteI have problems.
kater: I know what you mean! Here I was so set to NEVER buy from the catalog/web again and here I want to order the Andrea in a petite ASAP! what a pile of MOOSH am I!
ReplyDeleteHexicon, thanks for the detailed info on the Super 120s...I called around and it seems to still be $49 less 25% in the stores, am debating about ordering it. I was thinking of getting it to wear shirts under since my office is pretty conservative (accounting firm). Did you find it ran true to size? You mentioned the hip fit was a bit skimpy. Is it better to order a size up from your normal jcrew size?
ReplyDeleteThank you again!!
Also have you seen the bright azul colour in person? I really like it online but wasnt sure how "bright" it is!
Wow, I may have to order that skirt full price. I LOVE tweed pencil skirts. Love, love, love.
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone remember the "greenwich" pieces from 2-3 autumns ago? It was a mossy green tweed, came in a skirt and jacket (I have both).
Thank you sally, you just made my day!!!
ReplyDeleteBTW, I once read somewhere in Vogue, I think it was, that one of the Fashionista/Socialites they interviewed advised never to buy an item early in the season because you may end up not wanting it once you see what the rest of the season has to offer... Why can't I just be a good little listener???? :)
ReplyDeleteoh sorry one more thing about the Super 120s dress, where does it hit you? I.e. at the knee, above the knee or below? Anyone else who has tried this on in person, please feel free to chime in!!! On the website it says 23" from natural waist. I'm just not sure where that is!
ReplyDeletelbh: In that case, you are going to LOVE this. I'd say it's very Chanel-esque
ReplyDeleteHey sorry this is a bit of a random question, but does anyone know anything about the J.Crew corporate office in NY or the types of positions they have? It'd be interesting to discuss the business side of J.Crew as well as the fashion side, ie who makes fabric decisions and who makes the price decisions.
ReplyDeletea,
ReplyDeletere: 23 inches: it really depends how tall you are. 23" would be way below my knee in that weird no man's land between knee and lower calf (I'm 5'1"); 19" is just about right for knee length on my height. If you're average height, 23" is probably going to hit at your knee or just below.
Sally, thanks! I thought it sounded very Chanel when you described it. Well, I think J.Crew can count on one item sold from its fall collection :-)
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see the rest. Although if I recall from last year, August was more of a teaser - the big fall catalogue is September, I think...
I got my July issue yesterday in mail as well. The difference of my July issue from store July issue is the cover.
ReplyDeleteThanks Hexicon...I think it will hit me at knee length. I think I will order it in the black and the coal. For $37.50 I can't go wrong :-) Which colour did you order it in? I'm debating about the bright azul as well but I just don't know. Cameron Diaz wore something like this in a bright azul colour in "What happens in Vegas" and I loved it on her!
ReplyDeleteSo did you order it in your regular size or size up?
And thanks for the heads up Sally, I can't WAIT to see that tweed pencil skirt!!
a,
ReplyDeleteHow are you getting it for $37, may I ask? Do you have to call around to stores to find it, or are you able to get it on-line somehow marked down?
LBH - I live in Canada but am coming to Detroit next weekend and was able to find it in my size at one of the stores close to where I am staying. They also have it for $49.99 less 25% off.
ReplyDeleteAlso I think if you were to call in to CS, you might be able to get them to price match the online price to the in-store price. Its not really fair that items are so pricey online esp given that we have to pay so much in shipping to get them to us!
oh cool, thanks for letting me know. So it's just a matter of finding a store that has the right size & color that I want ...
ReplyDeleteI am excited to see the new Fall items, but I think J.Crew is getting ahead of themselves by launching it this early, since they are in such a state of Caos and Confusion right now...I think they would have been wise to wait at least another month, since they can't handle the orders they have now.
ReplyDeleteA, I found that the 6 petite was above the knee on me--not well above, but definitely above. I am 5'5" and between a 4 and a 6. As for the hip, I think it depends on your proportions. I'm an hourglass with some pear tendencies, so hips/thighs are my "trouble spot," especially in J.Crew. Even so, I would have expected a little more leeway.
ReplyDeleteThe website has very limited color selection in most sizes in this dress. I hope you can find it in a store. I asked them to do a store search on a black 6 regular last week and within half an hour I got an e-mail saying they couldn't find it. I seriously doubt that they actually checked all stores in 30 minutes.
And--I'm still waiting for the adjustment, since my card was charged full price--I orderd on 7/9 and the charge showed up on my account yesterday.
Supposedly the Madewell chain is going to launch its ecommerce site sometime this summer, it will be interesting to see how that goes considering the state of J.Crew's current site.
ReplyDeleteI just got a July catalog too. I was sooo excited thinking it was one of the first fall ones. Bummer!
ReplyDeleteAll you gals that have seen the catalog have me sooo excited!
Ahem, this is a bit odd, but my younger sister is holding my J.Crew catologue that came in the mail today hostage... she said it has yellow beads on the cover. That's an old one, right?? I cannot let her keep it any longer if it's a new one!! Does anyone know?
ReplyDeletekatdep - it's the old one! I got it yesterday, and it's the same stuff that is on the website right now...
ReplyDeleteI'm excited for fall, but I have a funny feeling that j.crew has a gigantic summer sale left in them. After some of us have been buying less or zilch online, their stock must be piling up somewhere. Not shopping at j.crew.com for so long is killing me!
ReplyDeleteI agree with some others that j.crew jackets seem to be narrow in the shoulders.
thanks! she's bartering my catologue for permission to use my computer... not going to happen =)
ReplyDeleteJulie: it is true every year they have great sales towards the end of august. two years ago I got a cable knit cashmere sweater for 45 dollars. It was a phenomenal find. Last year I got tons of shorts for 9.99 and flip flops too.
ReplyDeleteThe best sales are in August!
LOL Laura1--I read your post and thought it said "new york clothes"...I had to read it 3 times before I realized it was "new work clothes". Darn, I was thinking it'd be a new style from J Crew, like city-fit! Quite disappointed actually ;-)
ReplyDeleteHi All! This is off topic, but I have an update on my order status (the one placed on 6/27/08): My two items that are MIA...the Solid Kelly Sweater Jacket in Bright Flame, and the Joelle Blouse in Regal Purple are now being classified as "Items Not Received", and the charges are being credited back to my account (that part is good, as long as the credit actually happens). I am SUPER TICKED right now! They are the two items I wanted the MOST! They were in stock when I placed the order, and now because of this upgrade fiasco...I am more than likely never going to get them! That is just really, really, really SO unprofessional and absurd! To top it off...the $50 bribe, I mean Gift Card they gave me on 7/2 because of all the problems with my order, has yet to ship, either. So let me get this straight...you royally screwed up my order placed "pre-upgrade" and didn't ship 2 of my items, then offer me a gift card to make up for your screw ups, but then you still haven't shipped it, either...that's suppose to make it better how? It just doesn't...who knows when I will ever see that Gift Card, and I probably won't ever get the Kelly Jacket or Joelle Blouse...this sucks!
ReplyDeletesally: regarding your post at 6:49 - i am SO guilty of buying too early in the season also. i always end up returning a lot of the stuff i buy in august because i love the sept./oct. stuff...like la belle helene said the good stuff always comes out in sept....you think i'd learn by now...:)
ReplyDeleteIs anybody else a Project Runway fan? I am watching the new season premiere right now. I think it's so entertaining to watch the designers come up with ideas and have to execute in 24-to-48 hours.
ReplyDeleteLa belle... I AM WATCHING!!!
ReplyDeleteFFM: I would be ticked too... oh wait I am in a similar situation and I am still P.O.ed
blumre - isn't it fun to watch?
ReplyDeleteSprings marketing line was "When navy met white".
ReplyDeleteSomeone must be in love.
blumre and ffm: add me to the PO'd list. I got an email from J Crew stating that I would be getting a 15% discount on all three orders that were placed and taking forever to arrive. Problem? Well, if NOTHING is arriving (i.e. everything is gone...out of stock...MIA) then they have nothing to give me a 15% credit on now do they? Grrrr-rrr-rrr-rr.
ReplyDeleteHexicon, just thought I'd let you know I've ordered my Super 120s sleeveless dress in 3 colours (I know, so bad! but they were $37!). I was worried the 25% off in store wouldn't last until the weekend. I called CS and ordered the dresses and requested a price match which they did. Got all 3 with free shipping (thanks to this blog!) for $119.99 (cheaper than 1 individually!)
ReplyDeleteI'm also an hourglass with pear tendencies so I did order a size up from what I normally wear, plus in the winter/fall I plan on layering with blouses and turtlenecks. The length sounds like it will be a touch shorter than what I normally wear but for the price I really can't go wrong! It looks like it will be super cute for work with a cardy on top and then for drinks after work with some cute shoes and a clutch
And la belle helene, no problem about sharing. that's what this blog is all about! if you are interested, I would recommend you do the same thing, call into CS and ask them to price match to the store. Also, the San Diego store (Fashion Valley) has them for $49.99 less 25%, you can quote them if you need to (and they are open for another 2 hours :) if you want to do it tonight!)
They had to do my dresses in 2 separate orders b/c CSRs are only allowed to give you a max $500 price adj on a single order, and mine was working out to $570 (based on the dresses list price of $180 on the website).
But free shipping on both so can't complain!
On another note, Gap sent out an email entitled "Gap Give and Get Program". You and TEN of your friends get 25% off at Gap, Gap Outlet, Banana Republic, Banana Republic Factory Stores and Old Navy (in store or on-line).
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, 5% of what you and your friends spend during the event will be donated, by Gap Inc., to a nonprofit partner you choose.
Just kidding about the 'oh yeah' after-thought. Sometimes we get so caught up in ourselves we forget how bad things can be for others. :)
Pretty cool of the ol' Gap!
la belle helene: i love project runway...thanks for reminding me that the premiere is tonight! i better go check to make sure it's being tivo-ed so i can watch it when my son goes to sleep! :)
ReplyDeleteHi ladies:)
ReplyDeleteFinally put my little toddler down, managed to watch the last half hour of Project Runway. Personally I think Stella (Cher?) should have been out. LOL.
Okay I dunno where to put this, so I'll just continue typing.
Went to the 5th ave. b&m store this morning. Most of the sale items are picked thru, but if anyone has their hear set on Piper tanks, they still have them in all solid colors and sizes. I saw one Piper tank in Seaglass size 4, for 69.99.
I wonder if anyone else noticed that Favorite Fit Super 120s Ludlow Wed-Leg Trousers are marked down from 135.00 to 49.99 plus 25% off. I think this price only applied to black color. I searched for a size 0, but they only have sizes 2 thru 12 instock. I used the Red phone and called CS and they said the trousers are 135.00, but she did talk to her manager and she will honor my price and my size plus 25% off. She won't give me free shipping, because the trousers aren't regular priced item. So if anyone is interested in these trousers, they are a great buy. They're unlined, and they run true to size. (86009).
rach: i just got that email from GAP also. it is very cool of them. :)
ReplyDeletewebbysuzy: the garbage-bag lady so should have gone home! I could have made that! At least the other guy tried.
ReplyDeleteand I'm jealous of your Keaton pants! What a great find. I would totally call and get them, but I am having major issues with j.crew bottoms lately. Like range of 3 sizes trouble. Stupid final sale! thanks for updating us though.
Kater: consider the weekly post done! I will be sure to have it on Fridays (or do you think Thursdays would be a better day?)
ReplyDeleteSally: I am thrilled that you shared some of the details before thier release- so no problem for me. I love to hear whats new and coming soon. :)
FabulousFloridaMommy: I think you have every right to be upset. I really hope you get your orders and gift card soon! They really owe it to you. I mean, your situation is ridiculous- you have been beyond patient. Now its time for them to deliver. :)
La Belle Helene;
ReplyDeleteI am a huge fan of Project Runway.. and I totally forgot that new season is starting up right now. Thank you for reminding!I have to make sure I am on every Wed. from now on.
FFM:
I totally understand your frustration. I do hope everything will work out before fall collection arrives. That way we all can stop complaining about MIA orders/non-working websites/undelivered promises and such and can concentrate on what we truly LOVE: J crew fashion/styling/sizing tips and other fun stuff. Please, cheer up!
On a sunny note, I got 3!parcels today, but I will post on the items tomorrow. Yawn! Too tired.
Kids are finally down! Summer!
ReplyDeleteI forgot to mention that they have a watch as part of the J Crew Collection, too. I must say it's hideous! It looks like an old men's watch from the 70's in a tired out old gold tone, YUCK! (no price listed. It just says see jcrew.com.)
Also that top someone mentioned previously that you can see a bit of in the photo for the Watson Pants, its a graphic Slub-cotton tee $29.50.
FFM: I would hold on to some hope that your items may show up someday. It sounds like people are finally starting to see items show up on their doorstep even though the CSR said they did not exist anymore. I've decided that they really have no clue what's going on at this point and are just saying whatever they feel like at the moment. I mean their system isn't telling them ANYTHING. Or anything ACCURATE for that matter.
BTW, When I called yesterday the CSR said they are "extremely behind on processing returns and also on getting out the gift cards. Oh, really, we hadn't noticed...
FFM Webbysuzy and other PR fans. I loved the plastic cup dress. I thought that was so cool. And I actually thought the yellow dress with tomatoes was gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI think the garbage bag lady might be interesting as far as adding character to the show. Jerry (?) was just a boring dude who thought a shower curtain as a rain coat was creative.
hi all. just wondering if anyone had seen these at old navy Women's Jelly Ballet Flats ? i figure i'd post them since jcrew is selling jelly ballet flats for $50 and $60...but these were only 16.50...
ReplyDeletei think they're cute in the smoke color...i saw them in the store today and they're shinier in person...i tried them and they're pretty comfy and really cute on so i bought them in smoke :) also got this bracelet for fun...a square version of the jcrew one...it actually looks very similar to the jcrew one in terms of color of the "gold", etc.
ok, just wanted to post a few things that might be easier to purchase than jcrew items are. i.e. not final sale, free return shipping, etc. :)
FFM: You must be beyond angry, and you have every right to be! I hope it works out for you soon.
ReplyDeletewebbysuzy: Thanks for mentioning the Sea Glass Piper tank in a size 4. If mine doesn't come tomorrow (10th business day), I want to try and scoop it up. I REALLY want my Sea Glass Piper Tank!!! Like FFM, it was the item I wanted most and the only one I didn't receive.
FFM: i really hope that your and everyone's situations get resolved soon. i agree, enough is enough...and at this point your compensation should be expedited! :)
ReplyDeleteHey! Project Runway on again at 11:00p. Now I can watch the first half of the hour I missed while putting my little toddler to bed.
ReplyDeleteI can't think of anything innovative using supermarket items. Anyone remember Michael Knight from Season Three? He made a dress using coffee filters!
I love PR too. I'm getting married in Oct and my dress was designed by Austin Scarlett! He didn't win but was a fave of mine during that season. He works for Amsala under the Kenneth Pool label.
ReplyDeleteI dragged my fiance into J Crew after dinner tonight so he could get a new pair of jeans. While we were there I happened upon a pink Waverly jacket for only $20.24after all the discounts!!!
I am minus three orders at the moment and feel everyone's pain. I hope all this is resolved soon!!
kater: Not the Keaton pants, but the Ludlow Wide Leg Trouser pants for 49.99 +25% (reg 135.00). Online they are still 135.00, but believe me, they are 49.99 at the b&m store, plus 25% off.
ReplyDeleteI read somewhere that the Super 120's Wool dress is also 49.99. It looks like J Crew only have a limited number of sizes still available online.
Hi Webbysuzzy
ReplyDeletethat is correct - i know for sure the Novi, MI store and the San Diego, CA stores have them for that price. An amazing deal esp if u combine it w/free shipping!
So are all colours of the Ludlow wide-leg on sale? I was going to be investing in Jcrew suiting this fall and it might be worth it to pick up a few pairs of pants right now...
Oh and all sizes are in stock on the web for the Super 120s suiting dress, its item 90821 (the sleeveless version of the dress)
ReplyDeleteHello a: Thanks for the reply! Yes the Favorite Fit Ludlow Wide Leg Trousers Super 120's are 49.99 plus 25% off. I don't know if they are all colors, since all I saw at this store are black. I used the red phone and the CS said that her computer shows it still being 135.00. She placed me on hold and talked with her manager and sure enough it's 49.99. I tried the size 2 in regular (86009), but it's too big. I normally fit size 0 in all J crew bottoms, but they're all city-fit. Favorite fit is a bit higher, which is better for me. The trousers are unlined though.
ReplyDeleteThe CS won't give me free shipping for this item because it's a sale item, eventhough I called from the red phone and asked for fs. Maybe they want me to make a bigger purchase then give me fs I think.
A, I posted my follow up on the 120s dress in the wrong thread--they still had not given me the discount but did it as a special one-time courtesy. According to CSR, CS will not adjust web sales to store prices unless you are CALLING FROM THE STORE. Gahh! I explained that this does nothing for those of us who must shop the web because we do not live near the store.
ReplyDeleteGlad you got your three dresses--did you order the azul?
Unfortunately regular 6 and P6 are not in stock on the web--unless you learned something that I didn't?
FFM--what color and size Joelle are you looking for? I'm not sure if I like mine.
I called CS to make a price adjustment (from $39.99 to 19.99) on the Buttery Twill Trousers and was told by a snooty rep that in the future, J.Crew's policy is not to allow customers to combine any store/online discount with a teacher's discount. It'd be one or the other. Also, he stressed that in future, all sale items will NOT be eligible for free shipping.
ReplyDeleteAlso, my shortshipped peep toe Mary Janes are now back in stock, and I had to place a new order. How things change over 2 days, I just don't know. Yesterday it was shortshipped and today it's available. So those of you with shortshipped items, no harm calling CS and trying again!
I have the new Fall 2008 look book scanned in. Anyone interested?
ReplyDeleteI'm interested in seeing the new arrivals, but will refrain from purchasing anything because it's in the 80's here and we don't usually get real fall weather until mid-to-late September. By that time, the October new arrivals will be out with what I *really* love - coats and jackets!
ReplyDeleteI returned two pairs of Super 120s trousers a couple of weeks ago (still waiting for the credit to my card). The favorite fit was actually quite nice, but I couldn't deal with the lack of lining -- the wool was just too itchy.
ReplyDeleteI ordered the wool crepe trousers in charcoal to replace them, but those will be going back as well. Same size, same favorite fit, but the actual fit is just all wrong. The waistband and the size and position of the pockets somehow make my butt look like it droops all the way down to my knees. Even if I were to keep the pockets sewn closed the way they are upon purchase, the edges stick way out -- a look that flatters no woman beyond puberty, ever. Also, the charcoal is much lighter than in the website picture. I was expecting a deep gray, but it’s more of a silver that clashes with my skin tone.
I expect a lot of trouble with this return. This particular order (which included swim separates) somehow morphed into a final sale between confirmation and delivery. Hopefully once I point out that full-priced items (as they appear both on the invoice and credit card) packaged as final sale was probably a mistake, J. Crew will send me a return label. But given every other experience I’ve had with customer service (how come I never seem to get the helpful ones you all do?), I’m not optimistic.
I HEART JCREW: Yes! I would totally be interested in seeing the fall lookbook. If you have a link to it somewhere, I will definitely make it into its own post. :)
ReplyDeleteccbmum: Thanks for the links to the ON items...looks like you got some great deals...I've actually been surprised by some of the merchandise they have been offering lately, and the pricepoints can't be beat. :)
ReplyDeletehexicon: I had ordered the Regal Purple in a size 0, and also the Papaya in a 0, as well...didn't get either. :( Really sad part is that they had been marked down to $19.99 and the rep I spoke to yesterday was also going to give me an addt'l. 25% to match the instore price PLUS my educator discount, which would have made them about $13.
ReplyDeleteWhat color and size do you have? I would love to have one...let me know, and also how much it would be...and, oh...thanks for asking, btw. :) My email is FabulousFloridaMommy@cfl.rr.com. :)
I think the main issue is getting out orders...then processing returns...last and low on the list would be issuing gift cards to satisfy unhappy customers. If you can't get your order what makes people think the gift cards will be there in a timely manner? Way low on the priority list...I think people will get their cards eventually.
ReplyDeleteHi Hexicon
ReplyDeleteMy situation might have been slightly different b/c I live in Canada, so I'd explained that I am not able to shop at a retail store and they allowed it. I've done this in the past and sometimes its not a problem at all, sometimes they tell me they will only do it as a one-time courtesy and I have to use a red phone. But there are no red phones in Canada!!!!!
I did order it in the bright azul as well...The CSR I was speaking to went and picked up one of the dresses in that colour from their mock store and told me the colour was much more subdued in person than on the website. This sounds about right if you look at pics of the dress on Ebay right now (i.e. item 220256078320) which was fine by me, I had wanted these for the office and the colour on the website was just too bright (I work at a conservative accounting firm)
I think I mentioned before but I did order a size up, b/c I doubt I'll be wearing these sleeveless int he office, either layered with something on top or something underneath. Also the measurements for the item (which I got by calling into CS) did seem on the smaller side.
Your right 6 and P6 are not available on the website - when I click on that size, it says expected to ship 11/4/08 for both available colours (black, navy). I just took a look at the sizes available and it seemed they all were. My mistake. Sorry!!!
Fellow Project Runway aficionados: Great opening episode, I thought. The girl who won totally deserved to - that was brilliant what she did with the coffee filters. The Cup dress was a deserved second - so innovative, and I loved the veggie neckline on the third top finalist.
ReplyDeleteAmong the others, I really liked the yellow dress that had a flower on the shoulder (I think - it went so quickly, I barely got time to notice details), as well as the oven mitt dress. The mop top was to die for - just so creative.
Among the bottom three: Yeech. The tan guy (who seems kind of creepy) created something that was hideous. He was only saved by the other two's disasters. My guess Stella was saved because at least her garbage dress had form - the other guy, it was just incredible how bad that outfit was all the way around. The shapeless jacket, the boring dress, and the yellow gloves...just awful.
Can't wait for the next episode :-)
JCrew is aware of this site. They know we are helping each other find deals and using the store sale prices to get online sale prices. Once again...using this blog against us...
ReplyDeleteAnon: they can't really do too much to move against us. We are just discussing their own policies! We don't talk about ways around their policies. I would hope they view this as a way to improve their company policies, perhaps create policies that are even more consumer friendly
ReplyDeleteI was at the JCrew in Garden State Plaza yesterday, and they had fall clothes in the windows and a big sign that said, "See the Fall Look Book online." (Of course, there is no Fall Look Book online at the moment.)
ReplyDeleteI asked the sales associate when the fall line was coming in, and she told me that they just got the first batch (FALL1) and would be getting more (FALL2) after
August 1st.
I looked around inside the store and saw a number of new items, but the one that stands out in my mind is a velvet jacket with a hook closure in the front and flip up cuffs at the sleeves. They had it in navy blue, red/orange, yellow/gold and a caramel color.
Anyway, just thought I'd let you know. I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of the fall clothes.
I just wish JCrew would take some lessons from Banana Republic and offer more of their clothes in petite sizes.
J.Crew mommy, I think you got a nicer CSR than I did. :-(
ReplyDeleteWhen she said they will only honor the store sale price if you are calling from the store, she honestly did not understand that she was putting me in a Catch-22. I explained that if I lived near a store I could do that, but unfortunately what their new "policy" means is that if I want to place a web order and the store price is cheaper, I have to schlep up to the store to get the benefit of the store price rather than ordering the item on the web.
Then she explained that J.Crew considers store customers and web customers an entirely different set of clientle, so J.Crew sees no problem with offering us different prices. She also explained that web customers get different offers that store customers do not. Other than the 2x-year 20% off private sale, I don't consider free shipping a "special offer" for web customers because store customers don't pay shipping! GRRR. I was so frustrated.
If there is no traffic (a big assumption) my J.Crew store is an hour away, but realistically it's often a 2-hour trip each way, and unfortunately my hometown is not large enough or upscale enough to support a J.Crew. I've sent customer service three e-mails (2 about my missing adjustment and 1 about web customer discrimination) and haven't had a single response. This whole transaction has really made me feel that they don't value my "Cashmere Card" business. I am probably going to turn back to eBay for my J.Crew fixes.
FFM, unfortunately I can't help you with Joelle. I got a 6 in regal purple (usually I'm between a 4 and a 6) and it is HUGE. If it makes you feel any better, it is just a baggy silk T-shirt. There is no structure or hang to it at all.
anon @ 10:36: the in-store prices SHOULD be the same as the online prices...that's why jcrew DOES honor the lower price with no hassle, you just have to ask...every jcrew associate, online and in store has told me that they will ALWAYS honor the lower price. there is no trying to "find deals" going on here...it's just pointing out the inconsistencies on jcrew's part which is not fair...i don't know why jcrew has always had such inconsistency between store and catalog/online pricing but i sincerely hope that this is one of the fixes that is included in their system update...it would save everyone a lot of hassle. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks anon!! I'm going to the Garden State J.Crew tomorrow and I'm glad that there will be fall stuff!
ReplyDeletehexicon: thanks for thinking of me with the Joelle Blouse...I had heard it was really huge, and that is why I had sized down so much...I think it would have been worth the $13...sigh...I guess I will never know.
ReplyDeletehexicon: i don't know why the CS person you talked to didn't just call the store to verify the sale price and give it to you. that's what they have done in the past. i think that they are overwhelmed with all the problems at this point and don't want to deal with any extra steps. it's unfortunate that we have to deal with all of this just to get the fair sale price. as i said in my above post, it would make everone's lives much easier if they would just make their online and instore prices the same...it's pretty ridiculous the way it is now. :)
ReplyDeleteIt would be so great if now that they have new merchandise some of the items that we added last month could go on sale... really all I cant wait for are the following:
ReplyDelete- Denim pencil skirt & Chino Pencil Skirt
- Featherweight merino V-neck
- Cashmere Hoodie (maybe)
- City-fit florentine-print capri
- Penelope ballet flats (in metalic silver.)
- City-fit Watson pant
-Rustic french terry pullover
-Domino jacquard cropped jacket
and for my bf
-Cotton-cashmere rugby jersey
So really I am waiting on very few select items to go on sale (and by very few select items I mean practically their entire late summer collection). Whoops... I hope a new sale is coming our way soon! Its a good thing I have a lot of gift cards coming my way or my wallet would be hurting.
first sentence incoherent, sorry
ReplyDeleteIt would be so great if now that they have so much new merchandise some of the items that they added last month could go on sale... really all the items I cant wait for are the following***
Sorry
When I placed the order for the dress last week, it was nightime and the store was closed, so the CSR said to call back in the a.m. I talked to a very helpful girl who did indeed call the store manager and said she would put a "request" through for an adjustment, but she did not adjust it then. When I called last night, the CSR said that she could see there was a note on my account that an adjustment had been requested, but evidently no one had actually done it. So, a week later, I'm still waiting to see the adjustment show up.
ReplyDeleteWhat I'd like to know--in the minds of J.Crew marketing, what separates the web customer from the store customer, e.g., do they assume that the web customer has more money and is less price sensitive?
Blumre, I love the cashmere hoodies. I'm a little, erm, older, than J.Crew's typical customer and I was worried that the look would be a little "young" for me, but I picked one up on sale in Azalea (my all-time favorite J.Crew pink) and I loooove it! I would like one in brown but unfortunately I don't like the hazelnut brown, would prefer something closer to the old espresso or chocolate.
ReplyDeleteThanks to you ladies here on the blog I took a big step and got Candace in orange (I've never worn orange before). I have strangers coming up to me on the street to compliment me on it. So, when I was at a store last week and saw the cafe capris on sale in sweet marmalade, I snapped them up. What all this means is that I need some more stuff to go with them, so I am hoping that the Clea ballet flats in the flame/black stripe get marked down soon! (Yeah, so much for me boycotting J.Crew.)
hexicon: i wonder if it has something to do with the fact that jcrew catalog and in-store started out almost as two separate businesses...i remember ordering from the cat/online and you couldn't even return to the store. then they started to let you make cat/online returns but they couldn't credit you, they had to send your info to the cat. people and you had to wait for your credit...but now everything is connected so i don't know why the heck they still have different pricing so often...it's really irritating :|
ReplyDeleteNo stores in Canada :( But got some good news online. A real live person called me to say that while there is no ETA on my hacking jacket due to the site debacle (my words, not hers!), I would not be charged for shipping. I thought that was a nice touch.
ReplyDeleteI had someone call me as well and leave me a msg, only bad thing is that they didn't leave an order ref number and i have several o/s orders right now. They basically said they had NO ETA on shipping dates which was a problem for me b/c I need one of my orders for a wedding next weekend, and I placed the order last week. Anyway when I called in I gave them all of my order ref numbers, and the CSR put me on hold and talked to another dept, she came back to say that they are going to combine all of the orders and give me 3 day express shipping on all for no extra charge. I'm on hold right now to finalize this so fingers crossed it goes through!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe CSR I spoke to was so nice, I told her that there were a few things in my order related to the wedding and she went ahead and spoke to another dept for them to approve expediting all of my orders.
She ws having problems with her phone connecting me to the other department to confirm my details so I'm now on hold with them. Keep your fingers crossed it goes through!!!
Blumre,
ReplyDeleteI just was going to post about the chino skirt http://www.jcrew.com/AST/Browse/WomenBrowse/Women_Shop_By_Category/skirts/pencil/PRDOVR~96105/96105.jsp
I received it today and it's cut kind of big in the waist. I know it's supposed to sit lower, but it just doesn't seem cut right. I tried a 4 and I have a size 2 on it's way to compare, but I'm afraid the 2 will be too tight in the hips. Does J Crew do tailoring if you buy online?(My store doesn't carry this skirt.)
Josie: jcrew will tailor if you buy online, just bring your reciept. thanks for the info about the sizing. I know the Florentine pants run large too! As in I take 2! Its seems to be a trend with them
ReplyDeleteBlumre,
ReplyDeleteI just called my local store about an alteration and they said that the only alterations that are complimentary are shortening the arms (like of jackets) and hemming pants. Ugh! I never do either.... but I very often have the waists of my pants/skirts taken in.
To Hexicon and Jcrew Mommy
ReplyDeleteI've called in twice in the last 2 days to get items price matched to the store (last night for the Super 120s sleeveless suiting dress, this morning for the Super 120s Ludlow wide leg trouser) and I haven't had a problem either time...this morning I had the nicest CSR ever, she didn't even call the store to confirm, just asked me how much and made the adjustment. When asked if she would price match to the store she said "of course, that's not a problem"
I'm quite curiuos to know what the actual, official corporate policy on this is.
a: I have never had a problem getting a price match, either. I hope they DON'T change letting us do it...that would be devastating!
ReplyDeleteIt really would! I don't think its inappropriate of us to get the fair sale price
ReplyDeleteAnd I think a lot of us would shop at the B&M stores if a- they had any in Canada :) or b- they carried the full retail line which I know not all of them do (i.e. some locations don't carry suiting, some don't carry cashmere)
Does anyone know the sizing of the Super 120s suiting dress? Is it pretty true to size? And is it lined? :)
ReplyDeleteMelanie, I'd called in to get the sizing info for my size and I found it to fit on the smaller side, i.e. I normally wear a 10 in Jcrew pants and a 12 in Jcrew shirts but I found for this dress I sized up to a 14 (note though that I do plan on wearing something underneath for fall - it gets cold out here in Toronto!). Haven't gotten it yet so can't comment but I believe Hexicon had commented earlier that it is a bit tighter in the hip area so if you are hourglass/pear shaped you might want to consider ordering up a size.
ReplyDeleteHope that helps! and i will update once I receive my dresses (hopefully next week)
Actually, I just called both stores that this post referenced (the San Diego and Michigan one) and both stores said they didn't have it in stock! Did I miss the train?
ReplyDeleteA - it does help, thanks! I wonder why the store clerks would say the stores didn't have them when everyone on this post says they did? Was the stock limited?
ReplyDeleteHmm, they might have sold out? When I called yesterday I was told that they were only a couple left...but in either case, if you do place the order through the call centre CS, they should be able to call the store and verify the price. That is very odd though...maybe everyone has been reading this blog and they have been going like hotcakes :)
ReplyDeleteThere are quite a few available online though...
