Weekly Share: Other JCrew-like Retailers

This is the weekly "Other JCrew-like Retailers" post (similar to the "Off On A Tangent" posts), where we can share our finds from other retailers that have offerings similar to J.Crew (like LE Canvas, Gap, BR, Talbots, Ann Taylor, and the like.)

If you have recently encountered items that are similar to J.Crew, maybe you might be willing to share that information with us in this post.

    Several of us have mentioned in various threads (since Monday) that Nordstrom is now offering Free Shipping and Free Returns every day.

    LL Bean has had the free shipping policy, no min for several months now. I took the opportunity to get a few emergency supplies like lanterns/radio.

    Got an email this morning from ASOS for 20% off your next order with code USFLASH. However, had some trouble applying it...worked at first then when I went thru checkout, it said it had expired. I'm working on getting it figured out with CS but it's worth a shot for the rest of you! I used it to get this cute skirt in green.

    Has anyone seen an aran type sweater (like the one in the "one skirt two ways" email sent out today) at a place other than j.crew? I feel like it's such a classic item that I should be able to find one for a bit cheaper elsewhere. Any tips?

    Also Canadian shoppers get 25% off today on any purchase at any of the Gap stores (Gap, Banana or Old Navy) - 1 year celebration (I am guessing website launch celebration). Code HAPPYBDAY good today only.

    Just received a coupon in the mail from the Gap, along with a promo poster of their new Premium Pant fits. 40% off on September 3, then 30% off from 4th to the 18th for men's and women's merchandise in store. Look for yours in your mailbox!

    @Jen: I find Pure Collection's quality to be much better than J Crew. I have only ordered sweaters and other tops from them (not their non-knit items). I am an XS in J Crew sweaters/ size 2 in shirts. In Pure, I order a US 4, which is equivalent to UK 10. My bra size is 34B. The only thing I don't like about Pure is having to pay shipping, but since the items are actually shipped from the UK I can't really begrudge them.

    BR codes are stacking! Like them on their Facebook page and you'll get a unique code. That will stack with whichever code you get on the BR site (BRGET30, 35 or 40).
