"Thanks!" to many of you, including Janice, who let us know about a post over at J.Crew's 770 Blog.
It is mentioned (via animated image) that the upcoming September catalog from J.Crew will be set in Russia! In the "Sneak Peek: What's to Come this Fall {thanks Slastena!}" post, CH in London identified the location as St Petersburg.
I l-o-v-e it when J.Crew has destination catalogs. They are always so gorgeous to look at. I actually went on a trip to Lisbon, Portugal after seeing one of J.Crew's catalog set there. (No joke either!)
What are your thoughts on the upcoming catalog? Are you looking forward to an on-location catalog? Are you looking forward to the upcoming Collection?
I already got a copy of the September catalog! It is in st. petersburg Russia and it is absolutely incredible. Both for J.crew & Crewcuts. The new collection is very nice too!

KimChicSisters: Congrats on getting the copy so quickly. Lucky you!!! :)
ReplyDeleteKimChicSisters:
ReplyDeleteare you able to scan the catalog and post some pics?
:)
Interesting! I love those little animated nesting dolls too.
ReplyDeleteI also love the location catalogs. They are by far my favorites.
ReplyDeleteMaybe I'm the lone dissenter here, but it annoys me that they'd do a very expensive catalog shoot when their quality is nosediving. My suspicion is that they financed that shoot by doing things like leaving pants unlined, cheaping out on fabrics, etc. I will show my displeasure by purchasing less overall from them this season, and returning anything that's poor quality.
ReplyDeleteI love the destination catalogs, too, but Amy makes a stellar point. ATM I'd rather see them focus on improving quality, styles and CS (like the awful i-store 30-day return with no other options)
ReplyDeleteYay! Another destination catalog! LOVE that!
ReplyDeleteKimChicSisters, did you get your copy from a B&M? That's probably the only way I'll get my hands on one before 2012. :)
I am super excited about the location. I am from fromer USSR and going to Moscow this November, can't wait to devour the pages once I get my grabby hands on it.
ReplyDeleteI love their destination catalogs! My PS invited me to a private shopping event tomorrow to view the new collection, so I'll be taking some pictures and hopefully snagging a catalog to scan! (I'll also have my 3-year-old in tow, so I can't promise as many pics as I'd normally take. :)
ReplyDeleteI got the catalog too and I just wish there had been more pics from Russia included in it. But they were beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI got a copy today too. It is so gorgeous you guys! I mentioned it over in the reviews post. Pretty, pretty new things!

ReplyDeleteGreat. Nothing like an all-American catalog celebrating a recently communist country with an expensive pictorial. Whatever happened to Paris, London and Rome?? Or for that matter, Lucerne or Vienna or...well, just about anywhere else!
ReplyDeleteI love the destination catalogs too! Can't wait to see it. Since they are no longer posting catalogs online, and no matter how many times I ask, they won't send me a catalog, I guess I'll have to wait to pick one up in the store.... Why spend so much money on a catalog then not send it to customers who request it? I don't get it.
ReplyDeleteGoing to formerly Communist Russia doesn't mean they're supporting Communism, nor would going to a currently Communist country, such as China, where I'm from (which I would thoroughly applaud).
ReplyDeleteBtw, website update! And what's this . . . $8.95 flat rate shipping on all orders under $175?? I'll stop into a B&M tomorrow and if they have the catalog, I'll scan it.
