Sought & Found: Did you visit J.Crew this {past} Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the RESORT & early SPRING sale, or to see some new SPRING arrivals {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store was/ is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

  1. I picked up the new cork wedges in black. They are wonderful! So light weight and chic. I also picked up the matte jersey curator pant. SOOOO great. They are on back order till July on their website.

  3. Did some web site damage on Friday morning (all Marietta's fault for letting us know there was a big update).
Ordered another 3/4 sleeve cashmere cardigan in heather mint(I live in those things at work), the new painter cardigan in yellow, the linen gazebo pant in graphite, and the thing I am most excited about - the Crawford Watercolor silk cami in cerise. I love this when it was out (earlier this spring?) and missed out. Showed up in the sale section, but not FS, so all good (except my CC bill!). I am really looking forward to UPS on Friday or so...
Update, I just Googled the crawford cami and Fabulous Florida Mommy has it styled really cute!:

I was thinking black cardigan with it, but now going to try green!

  4. I'm addicted to their cashmere. I have picked up a few of the v-necks and LOVE them. I'll have to look into the linen gazebo pant.
My other favorite brand is Lululemon. I can't walk into that store without buying something.

  5. I picked up the Medallion Foulard skimmer pant in Scottsdale, AZ. I'm nearly always a 'strictly sale' girl, but I HAD to have these even though they are full price - they are fabulous! The print is adorable. Just a note - they seem to run a tad big. I'm typically a 12 on bottom, sometimes a 14 in a straighter skirt...and I took a 10 in these.

  6. No trip for me this past weekend, but I will be going in at some point this week to make a few returns. It will be interesting to see what items get marked down this time around. :) Have a great day everyone!

  7. I made a long overdue trip this weekend! I live near two J. Crews but they are small and sparsely stocked... I miss my J. Crew in Dallas!!

They had the Denim Minnies on sale for $59.99. They also had the tuxedo stripe linen skirts (I can't remember the item name) for $79.99

The store had this cute Lucca skirt (in store only?) with green floral ruffles and a neon green waistband. They also had a sundress in the Rose Vines print in a few random sizes (0, 10, 12). kelinda.kelinda tried it on at her store... she has pics on her blog.

I picked up a new Gabriella dress and the Merino Boyfriend Sweatshirt on sale (it's still full price online).

The store is J. Crew at La Cantera (210) 694-4761

  9. Valerie - Can you tell me about the sizing of the matte jersey curator pant? They don't have them in any of the Oregon stores right now.

  10. BTW! I did see a few of the Contessa Jackets (the ones for $89) in sizes 6, 8, 10, 12, and 14. Also lots of those one-button wool blazers, all sizes for the black blossom blazer, denim minnies, and the tuxedo skirt? (the white skirt with black stripes on the side). HTH!! This is for Montgomery Mall's B&M

  11. RE: the curator pant ... if you look online it's as though they would like it to fit VERY slouchy. notice the photo of the model's backside. i think that's too baggy for me so i picked up a size 4 vs a 6. it's still not fitted in my backside, but it's not so baggy that it looks ridiculous. does this help?

  12. Valerie - yes! that's helpful. I'm usually a 4 in their pants, unless they are very fitted then I will jump up a size (ex: toothpick cords). Now the question is do I really order pants that won't be delivered until July?!

  13. Alexis ...

i was all set to order them as soon as a 20% off coupon was released (back order or no back order! :)) .. but i 'stumbled' into a store last week and randomly found them hanging on a rack. they weren't even merchandised to sell, which suited me fine because they had a full size run. i squealed in delight! the girls working there said they are so popular that they aren't allowed to receive their discount on them. you should just call a storea and have them send them to you instead of waiting til July. you may not want them anymore come July. :) my next purchase will be the suede platform heels that zip up the back. my co-workers and i are obsessed with them.

  14. The North Avenue Collection in Chicago had all graphic tees $10 off, so I snagged the Lester's hat shop embellished tee for $19.50!

  15. I went to the outlet and scored the abstract lattice print dress in the khaki color (snagged after stalking another customer who put it back ont he rack), linen seaside pants, and the beach stripe silk tunic- all items from last year. I also saw the denim safari jacket which I had been coveting but found it didn't suit me at all.

  16. I stopped by the Crewlet to return something as well and snagged a Kelsey Ruffle Top in last year's Marbella print. Quite pretty!!

  17. I got the black blossom blazer. Yes, after all that smack talk about the stiff fabric & ill fit, I decided it looked rather cute at $29.99. Add a brown belt ladies, it does wonders. And see how Patina styled it here.
