Darlings, is it time for a J.Crew coupon code?

Yes, it is that wonderful time! "Thanks!" t0 many of you, including Marietta & Jaden, who let us know that J.Crew is offering free shipping on orders of $150+ with promo code SPRING. This offer expires 3/10/10.

Also, "thanks!" t0 Belle de Jour who shared the email above which shares that J.Crew is offering free shipping on Canadian orders of $150+ with promo code CANADA This offer also expires 3/10/10.

P.S. I have noticed that other blogs & websites post J.Crew codes & coupons *after* this blog does. If you happen to get codes & coupons from the JCA blog & post them at your site, could you please give give a "shout out" to the JCA blog? This way more JCAs are inclined to share. TIA! :)

  1. Wow, the CC girls sale section was the biggest I've seen in ages! I wish there was a percent off, but I did get a few fun things for next year. I was good and only bought kid stuff, since I caved during the sweater promo this weekend.

  2. This is great because I just can't bring myself to purchase without some kind of promo. I guess J.Crew has retrained me! LOL

I have about 10 FP things in my cart for DH and me, as well as one gift for my Mom. I'm going to wait a little while to see what gets discounted. I've been far too eager to purchase at FP this spring and a lot of what I bought is already reduced and I haven't even worn it yet. If I were near a B&M I'd return and rebuy but some of the things are now sold out in my size so cold comfort I guess.

OT - I finally, *finally* managed to snag Anthropologie's Garnish necklace on ebay. I have been stalking it for about a year. Even posted on the Anthro blog exchanges but no luck. The best part is that I got it for about 1/2 price so worth the wait maybe. :)

Thank you Alexis and Belle de Jour for sharing the codes. Always appreciated.

  3. Cheesy, I was like you--limited myself to Crewcuts today, because the selection was fantastic compared to recent weeks (months).

  4. I was browsing the website this morning at 10.11am my time here in Italy, that would be around 4am est in the States ?! The sale update was 885 items !

  5. xoxo, congrats on the necklace!

I have to give big ups to the Crew for doing the Canada promo. Now that I understand a bit more about the taxes, tariffs, etc, I find it even cooler that JC will offer the same advantages to customers in "our neighbors to the North!" I hope other retailers start doing so as well.

  6. The sale section holds no allure for me these days. I already snagged everthing I was stalking. Unbelievable but true.

The only new arrivals I wanted were the rose vines perfect shirt and the pastel petal perfect shirt, and I already bought both of them. I like the honeyclover ruffled romance perfect shirt, but not for $118. Same with the sunshine peonies perfect shirt. It's not worth $98 to me.

  7. Meh, I want a code for full priced items.

  8. For info only:
The shipping codes that AREN'T labelled for Canada, CAN still be used in Canada. So, I love to see Alexis' posts with the latest codes.

What makes this Canadian offer nice is that they have matched the dollar amount. Usually, the Canadian offer has a higher minimum, ie $175 as opposed to $150.

    Thanks, Alexis

  9. Ditto I snagged a few crewcuts items- WOW what an update! Lots of goodies:) Nothing for me in the sale section- I am officially crewed out.

  10. CheesyGoodness, the J.Crew free ship promos have worked for Canada for years, in the same dollar amount as for U.S. I love that about J.Crew. Same goes for the % off promos, they are always valid for Canadian orders.

There are sometimes different dollar amount FS promos emailed to different people as we see from posts on JCA but I'm in Canada and always get the lower minimum. My email is .ca so it's obviously a Canadian address.

Now if they would only extend the love and open some retail stores!

  11. I was almost relieved that nothing in the sale update caught my eye this morning! I know my DH will be relieved, too. :)

During last Friday's update, I might have snagged the Coralie heels in daffodil, the Sophia silk tricotine dress in tea rose and the tortoise Joleys. I'm still waiting for shipping confirmation on those...we'll see!

ALSO caved during the sweater promo and grabbed Jackie twinsets in shocking pink, citron and navy. Had to practically restrain myself from adding the misty aqua Celosia to my cart! I don't think I can buy anything else until about September. :)

  12. CheesyGoodness,

Good score on the Crewcuts items. I found some too for my daughter.

    Jeanne,

Good choice on the shirts you got. Very pretty ones. I agree with you on the Peony one.

  13. xoxo - congrats on scoring the Garnish Necklace! :)

I am waiting for a discount on FP items as well. Just a couple things in my cart though.

  14. Hmm...wish there was a $100 min. floating around there somewhere...they haven't done one of those in a while!

(Does anyone remember the Summer of 08 when they were having their website problems, and there was a period of time when they were offering free shipping with no minimum as an "apology" to customers? Ah, those were the days. Although I am happy that the website problems seemed to have been fixed.)

I won't be biting. I've actually found some good j.crew items on my wishlist on eBay lately! yay!

  15. OT: I am looking for the name of a certain item that I bought probably 3 years ago ('07-ish...spring I think). It is a spaghetti strap tank with an embroidered ruching-esque section at the top. It had a shelf bra inside and a very loose, open body. It came in a chocolate brown color and I believe an ivory too. Anyone have any idea what this top was called, or at least know what I'm talking about?

  16. I've got my eye on the boulevard trench that's still at a high price when others have dropped to the $150s-- it's beautiful in NYC this week, spring-like weather, so I have no need for thick coats until fall/winter... But I liiike it. Just not at $199.99. Betting for a markdown, not biting at the $150 FS. :)

  17. I spent most of the day outside yesterday so I missed all the brouhaha, and now the comments are closed. I just wanted to say thanks to Amy, if you check this thread! I'm glad the light blue Celosia didn't exist only in my imagination! Thanks to everyone else who gave it such good reviews, I'm really excited to try it on when it gets to me.

  18. AppGal,
I do remember the top but not the name...I have the catalogs from that time. If I get a chance before I am gone for a few weeks I will try and look it up for you.

    ReplyDelete
  19. AppGal,

OK. As they were handy I looked at April, May, June, July 07 The only thing I saw that might be what you are talking about that came in brown (and white) is the Sarah or Elizabeth cami. If those are not it, let me know and I will look further.....so fun to look back at the good ole days of JC:)

  20. Audrey, I bought the stadium boulevard trench in black and I absolutely love it! I've only worn it a couple of times, but it's so lovely and warm. I have a really short torso, so I was thrilled to find a trench that actually hits at my natural waist!

  21. Does anyone have the Thea buckled sandal? It is now on sale, but I would likely wait for a 20% promo. The gold looks pretty.

  22. ONE GESTURE THAT MAKES ME "HEART" JCREW

Hi - I posted in the sweater section yesterday about my earring "experience". Didn't get the greatest service, was missing a back and in turn lost the earring.

Just wanted to give a big THANKS to JCREW the JCA blog.

I have read this blog for the past few months since finding JCREW. From reading the JCA blog I thought I should send Mr. Drexler an email about my experience and see what happens - heard he listens to his customers and I thought I have nothing to lose. Didn't really think I'd hear back.

GUESS WHAT...I sent the email this morning and heard back with a couple of hours - they apologized about the earrings and shipped me out a new pair on them!!!!

Wow, seriously...if they offer this kind of superior customer service I have no reason to shop anywhere else ;o)

  23. I too ordered some CC for my daughter. I was tempted to get some of the popbacks on my wishlist but rather save some $$ for SP/SU stuff.

I'm also eagerly waiting for some % off on FP & sale items. I did order twice during the sweater promo so I'm good for a bit.

OMG, the vintage Zebra stripe Blakely dress in my size sold out yesterday online so I did a WWFIFY and they have found it for me. I just can't believe things flying off in matter of days...

    ReplyDelete
  24. To all those looking for zebra dress - they had a bunch of them at the 900 Mich. avenue store in Chicago when I was there this weekend....

Summer: Just a note to you - glad you're still around - I enjoy reading your posts. You & Genny are the ones who made me give LE a try, much to my satisfaction :-)

  25. La Belle Helene,

Thanks for the comment. My best to you:)I always seeem to enjoy your posts too!

  26. Roxy, I am on and off with Anthro but I am always checking out your blog and the others for reviews and IRL photos. So helpful and fun. I can't wait to "garnish" myself. Sorry, could not resist. :-D

  27. While I love JCrew and still do buy from them each week? month? (A LOT still IMO). I say go LE and go LE Canvas--I hope the line does well.

La Belle Helene: Glad you gave it a try:) Hope your day is going well.

  28. Summer: Thanks so much for taking the time to look! The tank I'm speaking of is definitely *similar* to the Elizabeth and Sarah camis, but it's different. I wish I could find a pic of it to show...erg. I will look around. Not a big deal...just wanted to know the name of it so I could list it on WE :)

Kiana: What a WONDERFUL cs story! Wow, wow, wow! So happy for you that you had a happy ending :)

  29. Audrey, the Boulevard Trench is really nice. It is a very warm coat, stadium cloth and all, but that can come in handy if you're not all layered underneath. I like that the belt is a little shorter than other belted coats, it doesn't flop around when the coat is open and stays firmly put in the belt loops when undone. The lines are very flattering and the tailored fit gives it a very high-end look IMO. Hope you can get it for a great deal.

  30. AppGal, is it the piper tank?

I was good and didn't bite on the sweater promo, waiting for better markdowns. Anyone who bought some of the new spring sweaters (esp. 14-gauge), please do post on how they hold up with wear.

I did use the FS code today to pick up the olive stretch wool dress from the sale section on popback and the vine flower tank as a ride-along as I am curious to see how it looks IRL.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I checked my loacl sears this weekend and nothing from LE Canvas. I was bummed. :-/

I may treat myself to the blushed tweed pencil skirt with this promo, but maybe not, as winter is definitely on its way out here -- 65 and sunny today -- so now I'll start thinking, "well, i love that skirt, but for $129 i could get a 6-foot tree for my yard!"

Also, I've recently snagged so many incredible items I've wanted for a long time thanks to eBay auctions and JCA that I truly don't have any business buying anything else right now. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  32. Cass: No, not the Piper. I found a picture of me in it...not good quality, but maybe this will help.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Jeanne,

I purchased the pink shirt and the rose vines one and adore them. I was disappointed with the Peony one as the color was really different from the way it looked on the site.

I also bought the clover one and it is amazing. I hope you can pick it up later. It is expensive but has some of the nicest touches.

    ReplyDelete
  34. mimi.magnolia & xoxo - Thanks for the affirmation on the boulevard trench!

    ReplyDelete
  35. I am so going to give a shout-out for the sunshine peonies perfect shirt. I know the colors don't work for everyone, and that is totally cool, but if you are a warm skin tone (you know color me beautiful's spring or fall coloring), then this shirt has possibilities for you!

I have worn mine TWICE already, and now that I have washed it and hung it to dry (it looks great--super nice quality cotton), I am going to wear it again, and soon. I expect that this may be my go-to shirt when I am feeling kind of blah and need a pick-me-up...paired with jeans and a cute pair of flats...yum!

So, there...just in case some of you are on the fence, here is a positive review! ;)

  36. Sorry to be OT, but just visited the site and it's 30% off final sale (again!), plus free shipping on $150+.
I'm done for a while (ok, a week or so), but this might help someone!
