  1. I ordered the Midnight Floral pants and am keeping my fingers crossed they fit and that I like the print in real life. I have lots of tops that would go with these pants. I tend to be a solids sort of person and thought some prints might be fun to spice things up a bit. Was thinking about the floral pencil skirts, but the one I loved in particular is not on the promotion, and I don't need it enough to pay full price. LOL.

    1. I ordered these too and have the same hopes. JC pants are dicey for me fit-wise, and hoping the fabric is as gorgeous as I expect. Let me know your review!

    2. I have a review of these pants scheduled for tomorrow morning. I had to return them and order a size up. The material does not have any give. I hope that your normal size works for you two ladies!

    3. Looking forward to your review, Rynetta! I ordered the larger of the two sizes in pants or shorts that I wear from J Crew, so hopefully they will work! It's always a bit of a gamble between how the waist fits, the leg fits, the length, and whether or not the pockets fly out at the hips. LOL.

    4. LOL! The review is live on the blog!

    5. These almost worked! As usual, thigh was just a bit too small. The pressed seam pulled flat at the top of my thigh. Only an inch or two, but not flattering. If I sized up, the waist and hip, already loose, would be un-alterable. Sad. But for those of you who don't have this fit problem, the fabric is gorgeous and quality lovely. Print would go with sooooo many different things! Wish this fabrication came in a non-mini skirt option.

  2. I bought some things with the rollout promo so I am done for a while. Love to see what everyone else is getting though!

    1. Is the 30% discount in stores on everything but 3rd petty brands or have they excluded some new releases like the midnight floral?

    2. I agree. Very cute gigi. I like the dress but think the top would be more practical for me, I could slip it on under a blazer for work, to bad it's excluded from the promo! bummer!

    3. Print is stunning IRL. A J Crew all star!

    5. cmg - I didn't go in the store today, but I believe someone said that select items are 30% off, like shorts. And there are no shorts in the midnight floral. I don't know if they just structured the promo in a way so that items are excluded because of type. You should be able to use the in-store only $20 off $100 coupon, though.

Birdie - You would look great in the top. Hope you get it on promo.

ruffles - The print is totally a J Crew all-star. It'll be the one that got away for some JCAs.

  4. I received a $25 off $125 card in the mail. Do anyone know if I can use it online with this current promo? Thanks!

    1. kal0202 - One code per order online. That I know for sure. WEEKEND currently gets 30% off online, with some exclusions. The same promo is *not* running in-store.

The legalese on the card will tell you if it's good in-store or online only and other terms. Hope you can figure it out easily.

    2. Thanks Gigi! I hadn't tried online yet, I think il save it for in store anyway :)

  5. I scored on the wide leg crop Jean in white. I've been stalking it for about a month since it's completely sold out. I hope it fits me. And I'm glad it's 30% off! This will look good with the Saint James Tee and I'm eyeing the metal sphere pom-pom necklace.

    1. JSR - I think that necklace looks so cool. Hope your jeans work. Congratulations!

    2. @JSR I hope you like the jeans, I found a pair on eBay recently and I love them. They're a thicker (but a little stretchy) denim and nice to have a loose, but not terribly wide leg pair of white jeans. I think they'll be on heavy rotation this summer.

    3. Thanks Gigi and Anne! I was torn between the Crop wide leg and the Rayner. I ordered the Rayner, and it didn't work out. It only looks good on tall ladies. I'm hoping the crop wide leg will be better. I don't mind thick jeans. I don't like white jeans that are thin that it shows your underwear.

This will be my first pair of white jeans. Yuh, I know, shocking. I'm always late to the party. Ha!

    4. JSR - Wow! Good luck w/your first pair of white jeans. You're smart to be mindful of the underwear challenge *before* you get out for the day and catch yourself in a mirror.

(I ordered that striped shirt they show with the skirt, hoping that works out OK, too.)

  8. I'm going to the store today. I went yesterday to make a return, and couldn't really shop because my husband was with me and I felt rushed.

From what I saw, the stuff looks pretty cute. The textures, the colors...

  9. I asked customer service about the hibiscus pant, item C7057, on whether or not it had a zipper. In the photos it sort of looked like it had an elastic waist, something I wouldn't be interested in. I guess there is a zipper in there somewhere. I like the idea of the pants, but won't be ordering it at full price. I'm just wondering if I'd wear such a print. Maybe the pencil skirt would be better? Both look cute with a striped knit and a jeans jacket! And I'm going to Kauai next winter and they'd be great to wear on the trip!

    3. Oh no! I will totally accept your request. What is your username? I LOVE the pants. They are TTS!

    4. Thanks so much Rynetta, but I no longer have a cell phone, and therefore can't set up an Instagram account... I can see some instagram photos on accounts that are public, but can't comment. Glad to hear you love the pants!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  11. Went to a store today with the intention of using my in store only $20 off $100 coupon. Bought some shorts with the 30% off shorts promo in store which was combinable with the teacher discount (as per usual). The cashier, however told me this was not also combinable with the $20 off offer and I had to do one or the other. My total would have been over $100 even with all the applicable discounts. Just wondering how this all worked out for others?

    1. YoungJJ - There is no mention of the student/educator discount on the legalese of the $20 off $100 coupon. I would think that you can combine it. I guess the "out" they put is terms of the offer are subject to change. But if they wanted the discount to be excluded, they should've put it on there. They need JCAs to help them write these things. The lawyers aren't the ones at the cash register when the coupon is being presented. And the cashiers don't feel like figuring out word problems under the gun.

    2. Young JJ, I feel your pain as I've had a number of these stressful encounters at the register.

Here's how the policy works at my store in northern illinois ... SPECIFIC promos such as 30% off shorts or 50% off sale can be stacked w the educators discount. UNIVERSAL promos such as 30% off the whole store or $20 off ant $100 purchase are excluded from the educators discount.

I'm shaking my head at the logic, but that's consistently how it's applied at my store. I don't often shop at factory so not sure what craziness goes on there.

    3. Thank you for the replies! I was actually at Old Orchard which is near Chicago, so the inconsistency even around the same area is mind baffling. My VPS is kind enough to apply the educator discount to online orders, so these pricing games take out the incentive for me to get to the store sometimes. All in all, still got some good shorts, but left feeling I should have just skipped the trip to the store and ordered online.

    5. I read it as ....you can combine two promos but not three. This seems fair.

  16. Canadian JCA's went to the West Van store in Vancouver. My least fav. store.
I like the canvas hayden bag and the fringed clutch.
Did not like any of the new jewellery or shoes
Clothing wise...the plumera print is neon pink (just to let you know it is bright)
did not see the new seaside pants. the midnight floral print is a pass...its too dark for me. the ikat is pretty plain but too short. I left with nothing, the sale section med. size with really old items. the store was not busy.

  17. Hi,
I might have missed past posts about this, but is it normal for JCrew (factory in this case) to increase their regular retail prices? I bought a tote bag for $63 online during the 30% off promo. They are currently running a 50% promo site-wide....and the tote is now $64. How is this possible and are they really allowed to manipulate regular prices like this, if the case? Unfortunately I don't remember the full price when I bought it - prior to the 50% promo starting...it really seems by the sale prices before and during the 50% off promo, that they are playing games?

  18. Haven't bought anything from J Crew in months just nothing I liked. I did however place an order yesterday for the 5 inch chino shorts which are online only. They are a staple in my summer wardrobe. I got the white and barely blue. I seem to be finding more items at Tory Burch and Vince that I like...
