Seek & Find: Will you visit J.Crew this Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!

  1. I went Thursday and got a gorgeous black floppy sunhat for 40% off! The signs in the store said 25% off hats, but my receipt reflected a 40% discount. :D

  3. Went to my store to make a rather large return of items purchased on line. The SA helping me asked me if I purchased the items on sale. I said yes and he said well you know sale items that end in .99 are not supposed to be returnable. I said I have always been able to return on line purchases on sale unless the invoice was marked final sale and none of the items are marked as such. He gave me the ok I'll do it this time. I said if the policy has changed it is not reflected anywhere. I know other people have received inconsistent info but this one was ridiculous. Did I miss something or just speak to an uninformed SA. Really made me stupid as the customer which is not how I want to feel. BTW sale was 50% off in store.

    1. yes, my understanding has always been that the invoice will say FINAL SALE. If not, then it's returnable. Sounds like an uninformed SA for sure.

    2. JessF - He is misunderstanding the policy. I've had newer employees tell me the same thing. If you run into that again, ask them to point out -- where on the receipt -- it says that a sale is final. And/or ask to speak to a manager.

What store has the 50% off sale items? Trying to figure out if it's an East Coast thing.

    3. Greetings JessF - It looks like JC has been restricting the final sale items that are online mostly to the ones that are 50% off (which is great!). It will be clear it's FS when you click on the item because there will be a box saying it's final sale, there will be a gray box under the item when you get your online receipt delivered to your e-mail in box, there will be a notation on the paper invoice you get with the order, and there will be a notation on the bag sticker with the item (although no one seems to pay attention to those). I've sometimes gotten CS or a VPS to waive final sale for an item I'm not sure will fit - there will be a notation that the SA can see once they bring up the order on their computer. Other than that, the item should be returnable. As Gigi said, ask for the manager. Good luck! Jennifer

    4. Thanks for the replies everyone! I was pretty sure the policy hadn't changed so thanks for confirming. Just didn't appreciate the way it made me feel as a customer. Gigi the 50% off was the Whitehall Pa store so I am east coast. Picked up the drop waist palm tree print dress for $50. It was Tts for me. But there we have another inconsistency on in store sales. The email I got says 30% in store and there are reports or 40 and 50%. Just wish things were more consistent.

  4. I can't believe there's only two more roll-outs (June and July), before August fall roll-out. I can't wait!!
I was just looking at my wishlist online, and how boring and plain the clothes I picked - it's because J.Crew barely has amazing stuff this season to really love. *sigh*

I received the black Drapey oxford crepe jumpsuit this week. While the size I ordered (P2) fit perfectly; there is no reason why I should keep it. I can't imagine having to go to the restroom in public and it be a disaster; having to unzip my jumpsuit, baring my upper body in the stall. I couldn't even unzip it my own, when I tried it at home. Believe me, I love jumpsuits, I've never owned one because its always too big on me, so I am thrilled that J.Crew makes it in petite. I don't know...I want to keep it just to keep, but not at full-price.

    1. JSR, I have the same reservations about the jumpsuit trend. The bathroom situation seems like it could be a nightmare. You should check out Audreybella's blog (Life is short, buy the shoes). She reviewed a Loft jumpsuit very similar to the jcrew one (she actually liked it better), and you could prob get it for 40 or 50% off.

    2. Thanks Lauren! I'll just hold off on owning one till it feels right. The petite in black is sold out...I would have to stalk the site when it goes on sale.

So I just came back from the mothership. Returned some online orders...and I did notice 40% sale items. And at the register it says 20% your purchase using your J.Crew card. Sheez..only 20%?! I didn't read the exclusions since it was a small sign. I'm guessing no 20 off on 3rd party brands.

    3. For "restroom" substitute "airplane lav" and you'll understand my consistent objections. I don't ever want to have to wear hazmat gear.

    4. WFF, or the Ghostbusters uniform. But jumpers are so cute!

    5. I just laughed out loud because this is my exact problem with jumpsuits. I love the look, but can't figure out the bathroom situation. My husband said, "What, are you gonna have me to go the bathroom door with you, unzip it, wait for you to go, then zip it back up?" LOL. I did find one at Kohls a few weeks ago- a left over from the Design Nation collab with Tahari for $15. For $15, I will hold onto it and maybe wear it out for a very short cocktail hour! Look it up, it is gorgeous! And I would have paid at least $50 for it at Kohls...

  5. Off topic but Anthropologie is offering 20% of everything this weekend for Mother's Day with code: XOXO. I posted last week I think about the Pilcro Railroad Stripe denim jacket. It is really cute and now really cheap with the 20% off. I sized up one size for the fit I wanted.
