This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale
items at our
various local J.Crew stores. ;)
If
you are stopping
by a J.Crew store this weekend to see
what's available (if
anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in
person, maybe you might be
willing to share that with us in this
post. In particular, if you could
share with us a few of the
noteworthy items that are available, at
what prices, and potential sizes
the store is carrying (as well
as the store location)- that would be
fantastic!
Also,
please let us know if your local store is
carrying an additional percent
off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)
P.S.
I noticed that many of
you have already been reporting sale
items (and in which stores) in
other posts which by the way "thank
you!" :) I really appreciate how
helpful we are for each other!
I will to do returns from all the online purchases.
ReplyDeleteI did visit to do my returns. Entire store was 30% off, 40% off sale items and I got handed an in store only $20 off $100 through July 4th. In addition, I did try on the Embroided Herringbone Tee (C6180), the XS was a good fit which is my normal size in boxy tees. I really liked it but the weird wide top by the arms stopped me from purchasing. It would definitely look great with jeans and I was thinking the cargo skirt in Navy but could not get past the sleeve thing. Next up while I was in the dressing room was the palm tree dropped waist dress, I purchased this online last weekend. I tried it on in my usual dress size 4 and it was good, I am hoping that the petite 6 will be a slightly better fit for me at 5'1". I can see getting lot of wear out of it and even at my age, I did not think too young looking. Madewell was having 50% off sale items but nothing I wanted.
Deletewow, so crazy how some stores have different deals than others! I drove 60 miles hoping to try on the stripe cap sleeve dress... they had it only in the mauve, not the black which I wanted. Store was only having 25% off certain things like sweaters. Sale items were 40% off but the starting prices were higher than online... so frustrating. At least I got to try a few things IRL and know what sizes to order online.
DeleteJulie Taylor - The prices were marked higher in my store, too, but ringing up as the online price. The stores are still bad about ticketing the items with the most current price.
DeleteI was given that coupon too. I thought it was especially nice that it doesn't expire until July 4th.
DeleteI wanted the herringbone tee too until I tried it on. They did some strange things with the shapes of the tees this rollout. Neck openings too scooped or shirts too wide or too short etc.
Anyone see this Refinery 29 post on old catalog covers? Everyone looks like they are having fun.http://www.refinery29.com/2015/04/68244/jcrew-style-guide-1990s#slide
ReplyDeleteA review of the J. Crew Striped Eyelet Dress
ReplyDeleteHave not been into a regular JC since the Discountgate episodes of 3 weeks ago. Still getting emails regarding this from JC central and from local managers. Policy still seems inconsistent. Apparently retail JCs here will no longer stack the educator discount with ANY other promo, including the extra % off sale. However the Factory stores are blithely carrying on, offering it on everything and promoting it verbally to everyone as they arrive. Guess where I'll be shopping? Have not even been into a retail location since, it was handled so poorly by the SAs - you really do not want to make your customer feel embarrassed or put down, Mickey. Just a thought. Wondering if any JCAs in the US have run into this...
ReplyDeleteHi....I am still in a bad mood about not being able to return a $50 pair of jeans that did not fit. ( even though I had tried them on before)
