Seek & Find: Will you visit J.Crew this Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!

  1. No visit for me - went the other day and the sale section was probably the biggest i've seen since holiday (and 50% off). However, I will be admiring the men's images on Pinterest with Clement Chabernaud. *fans self*

  2. I hate when J. Crew sends out a sale announcement and then the item(s) featured in the email are not part of the sale! Was so excited to see the 25% email that prominently featured the Martie pant as I'd like to get it in two more colors but when I clicked though the email I discovered that it isn't part of the sale. J. Crew please actually feature items included in the sale in the email.

  4. Ran in to return the punched out eyelet dress I had purchased online for $118. It was a size 2 and just a bit snug. I bought a size 4 for $59.99. Very happy I didn't just mail it back for an exchange.

    1. I kept almost ordering the dress at the $118 and glad I held off. I am not super close to a store so ordered two different sizes on line. Neither have shipped yet but I am keeping my fingers crossed that at least one does.

  6. Stopped by Northbrook Court today - not my normal store and I normally avoid it but I was next door so I couldn't resist. 50% off huge sale section w some very recent arrivals included like the gold foil leaf print shells.

They had a kill price rack with those metallic sweaters for 19.99 - 50% plus a few other odds and ends, same price. I haven't seen a kill price rack like that at a J Crew in years.

It looked like they were starting to open boxes of new arrivals. I didn't get a good look as the SAs at that store are notoriously awful. Left with a spare pair of Slim Cargos for $21.

    1. Yes - why are the SAs there so bad?! I do not get it. Old Orchard all the way! To

  7. The Mackenzie Crackled Foil Sandals (#c7271) shipped super fast! I ordered on the 12th and they are here on the 15th (and they did not ship from a store, which is often fast). I agree these fit TTS, like others have already said. There is hidden elastic on the inside of 3 of the straps where they meet the footbed (one is the heel strap and the other two are the next two straps; the two straps over the toes don't have elastic). There is no way to adjust them, though. I got these on pop-back so if you want them, keep looking, they have been popping in and out recently. I think I got mine on a mid-day inventory update, even though I'd been checking early in the morning too.

  8. Stopped by Factory today and found much to love in the latest rollout, Factory definitely suits me better in the summer. Also good in-store promo, extra 20% off if you buy 4 items. Tried a few things, including the sleeveless infinity shirt, the printed tee (version of the gemstone top from last year) and the chevron stripe dress and posted pics to my IG poettodesign A few pieces may have come home with me ;)

  9. Went to a Toronto store and bought a top that the SA insisted, with great certainty, was not part of the 25% off promo. Of course I had a funny feeling later, so I looked it up online...very clearly IS a part of the promo. Now I have to trek back to that store, bill in hand to get my discount....Had another SA at different store insist I was a size large in the beach textured sweater (the loose fit one), when I asked for both a small and medium (my regular size in JCrew tops is 4/6 and small occasionally medium) because: "She" is a small, so there's NO way..." I had to push her to bring the sizes I asked for, so that was a little annoying. I seem to keep running into not greatest service lately. Hopefully temporary bad luck vs a sign of how things are going up here. So my visit to crew this weekend is to get the discount I should have gotten yesterday.

    1. You can actually just call J Crew customer service and they will take care of the price adjustment for you.

    2. might be tricky....because it is $ can not $ us...

    3. I also noticed some attitude creeping in at the Toronto stores last month, some snippy SAs esp at Fairview. I wonder if it's indicative of pressure from above? I haven't been in to a retail JC since mid-April as a result, and meanwhile the service at the Factory stores seems just fine.

    4. I haven't been to a Toronto store for a long time but have been going to the ottawa location. I've had excellent service at the ottawa location and the SAs have all been really friendly, makes me want to go back. :)

    5. Fairview has been a problem for me too recently. Thatnks Violetk, I tried that first, but they said they couldn't when I called because A)I am in Canada, and B) I paid by interac, not credit card.

  10. I was at the Vancouver (Pacific centre) SA gave me the new style guide. As pics are coming up on pinterest....there are many items that are not in the guide. The guide is super thin. I am assuming this means in Canada we will not be getting the omitted items...too bad for us . The jewellery is a total pass for me ...do not care for it. I f any Canadians have a question about our version of the guide and prices....just ask here...and I will comment back. Carolyn P.S in all three Vancouver stores the SA's are really great...At least I feel so.

  11. For all the Atlanta area JCAs:
We have an "First look event" on wednesday from 11am to 2pm at the Marietta store.

  12. So, J Crew is starting to add June 15 pictures to their pinterest page in their tedious and irritating "one picture per hour" way. I hate that.

  13. Stopped by to make a return and SA said that Wed. 5/20 through Memorial Day cardholders will earn double points. She said this is the first time JCrew has offered double points.

  17. if I do like some items ....I am assuming I can use the $20 off $100 ????? the card they were handing out in store recently. This I bet is our promo for the next while.

  18. Off topic but I saw someone on IG wearing the cutest swim suit and it was from American Eagle (aerie). I went to there site to look and they are having a buy a top, get the bottom free promo and free shipping so I couldn't resist ordering. They have some really cute prints and some more modest looking bottoms. They are mostly bikinis with a few tankinis and one pieces thrown into the mix.

  19. My local store had bursting sale racks and I bought . . . nothing. I did wish list several of the new arrivals to buy when they go on sale though. The striped eyelet dress in Forest (C5531) was absolutely lovely as was the crossover wrap skirt (C6377) and the Collection silk twill shell (C5935). And that was about it. I did quite like all of the gold foil print items but the dress was RUINED by that hideous 'rose gold' zip. Such a shame. Who even puts in a zip that completely clashes with the rest of the dress? So then I went across to Banana Republic and loaded up on Marissa Webb designed gems.

  20. I think the new print "midnight floral" looks very similar to the "fireworks floral", we just had. It didn't do well...hit sale quick and deeply discounted.

    1. That was a fun article! This one surprised me:

      26. The design team uses 770 employees to wear test every single garment in EVERY size (000 to 16) and maternity, too.

    2. This was fun to read. A lot of things I didn't know, so I found it interesting. Thanks!

    3. I was just logging in to see if anyone posted this article yet. @Cate - I thought that fact was the most interesting. 770 employees wear test every single garment? I'd love to see them in the items! How could this relate to the fit of arms/sleeves, back, shoulder areas getting first too small and now huge? Why don't they show real life models in the 'style guide?' I think that'd be great!

      Delete
    4. No 27. I knew the new jewellery reminded about.....fishing tackle.

      Delete
    5. I don't think they test wear every item or there would be not so many ill fitting item...huge arm holes, ill positioned drop sleeves, low cut fronts....I could go on.

      Delete
    6. They must test wear the items after production and when it's too late to make changes to the fabric or design.

      Delete
    7. I read that as they have 770 employees doing wear testing, not 770 employees wear test each garment.

  28. Knowing when to hire a plumber is vital to maintaining your home. Many homeowners attempt to make repairs to appliances, fix broken pipes, or unclog a sink, only to find out they have made the problem worse .
