This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale
items at our
various local J.Crew stores. ;)
If
you are stopping
by a J.Crew store this weekend to see
what's available (if
anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in
person, maybe you might be
willing to share that with us in this
post. In particular, if you could
share with us a few of the
noteworthy items that are available, at
what prices, and potential sizes
the store is carrying (as well
as the store location)- that would be
fantastic!
Also,
please let us know if your local store is
carrying an additional percent
off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)
P.S.
I noticed that many of
you have already been reporting sale
items (and in which stores) in
other posts which by the way "thank
you!" :) I really appreciate how
helpful we are for each other!
I will be going to check the new arrivals.
ReplyDelete30% off sale at Madewell. I ordered the lace-mix top in black, which is on promo + 30% off
ReplyDeleteYay for the extra % off, boo for the overnight price hikes on some promo items. I think I scored a pair of the discontinued rail straight jeans. Hope they ship!
ReplyDeleteHope they ship! I always liked those. The Alley straights aren't the same on me.

A review of the Donald Robertson for J. Crew Kiss Kiss Tee Happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteNo visit for me. I wore it out last weekend at the warehouse sale. Literally dug until had to use the restroom and get something to eat. For anyone that lives near Asheville, you now have the trifecta of J.Crew...Clearance store, Factory store and Retail store all within a six mile radius. The factory store and the clearance store are only about 2 or 3 miles apart.

ReplyDeleteReview here of the beautiful midnight floral shift dress.
ReplyDeleteOh, that looks really good on you. Of course, it might not look really good on me, but now I want it so much!
DeleteI went today and they had 30% of selected sandals, and 30% off jumpsuits, shorts, and jewelry. The sale section was 50% off, but final sale. It was also packed to the gills and a little depressing. Left with nothing, although I have my eye on a few things online.
ReplyDeleteTried on the cotton/linen Ikat Jumpsuit and it was fantastic. I took my regular size 10, and it fit great. I'm curvy with a larger bust and there was ample space for the ladies, although the v-neck was a tad low. I will most likely get it when it goes on sale (if it does).
Here's a review of the midnight floral cocoon top.
ReplyDeleteBe on the lookout for a 15% off + free shipping coupon in your Factory order, I nearly missed mine since it was stuck at the bottom of the bag. I was able to combine it with the 50% off promo currently running.
ReplyDeleteI'm planning on going to retail to return things from my latest order. I ordered the Tilly sweater in fresh bouquet, thinking it would be the perfect light pink sweater, but I was disappointed to see that it's more purple-y in real life. Ah well. I also got the Striped eyelet skirt in a petite size to see how it would work since I fell in love with it in store and the regular looked a bit long. I adore it, though now I'm trying to decide whether to reorder it with this promo since the discount is better or to wait and hope for something better in the future (like a promo price + %-off). Not sure if I want to risk it selling out or not...

Two more review here - the mixed stones muscle tank & metallic foil Bermuda shorts in the gold
ReplyDeleteThose shorts look great on you, Gigi!
DeleteI did go last night to check out the new arrivals. I loved the colors of the midnight floral and may try out the cocoon top at some point. I liked the dress but the fabric was brocade and I really don't have a need for a dress like that. But my total love was the Sleeveless shift in zigzag ikat. I took a size 2 which is the same size I ended up with in the Palm Tree dress. For a shift dress it is more fitted than in past years, the regular is a good length even though I am only 5' 1". I loved the darker blue piping down the sides and front, the cut in the neck was a little too low. The SA said that their tailor could sew it up a little but I may try myself or put on a hook and eye. Also, loved the silk chiffon dress in watercolor dot, faded colors but really a beautiful dress but nothing I have a need for. Also the sunfaded tropical sheath was really cute but not my style. The sale section was packed and I picked up Embroided Linen Top which was on my wishlist, again I sized down to a 2 in this. I found it in the beautiful blue, I don't mind the exposed zipper and think this is something I will get a lot of wear out of. Lots of sales, dresses were 30% off, sandals 25%-30%, bags - 25%, and other random sales. I used one of my $20 off $100 coupons, so the dress ended up being $81 and the top $29. I am happy that I am finding items to buy again at J Crew and OK if it is only a couple of items from each new rollout.
ReplyDeleteHi, JRS. Did you size down one size in the Sleeveless Zigzag Ikat shift, even though it is more fitted than shift dresses from previous years?
DeleteI'm also wondering about the color. On my monitor it looks kinda like a washed out blue gray. Thanks!!
Yes, maryeb. I have always been a solid 4 in dresses at J Crew for years. But this year, the best size for me is 2 and trust me I have not lost weight. It is definitely more fitted that previous years shift dresses but seems like they made allowances for that, I found the 4 to be big all over. I think the color is muted but it is a good color, more blue than grey. The piping is that navy that is almost black which I think maybe good for shoe color choices. Hope that helps.
DeleteVery helpful. Thanks!!
DeleteReview here of the Ikat wrap dress. Thumbsup.
