Weekly Share: Other JCrew-like Retailers

This is the weekly "Other JCrew-like Retailers" post (similar to the "Off On A Tangent" posts), where we can share our finds from other retailers that have offerings similar to J.Crew (like Anthropologie, LE Canvas, Gap, BR, Talbots, Ann Taylor, and the like.)

If you have recently encountered items that are similar to J.Crew, maybe you might be willing to share that information with us in this post.

Please feel free to share your story on almost any topic— including experiences with certain merchandise pieces, promotions/ offers, in-store visits, transactions with store associates, etc.

    I got the "Wool Shooting Jacket" from Eddie Bauer a couple weeks ago and both the quality and fit seems superior to what J. Crew is putting out these days. (And it's cheaper.) I miss the days when I felt this good about a Crew purchase!

    I also took Lands End's "Flannel Trouser" for a test drive and I've been really happy with those as well. As someone who's 5'4" and thin but doesn't have toothpick legs, I found that the LE Flannel pants (trouser, straight leg) fit me much better than J. Crew. Plus they're fully lined, you can pick your inseam and they're a bit less expensive. I've only worn them a few times but so far I've been very pleased with them.

    Pathos - Thanks for sharing that! I've signed up for Kate Spade, but don't seem to always get the info. Interestingly, I noticed this purse says it was made for the NY outlet. Anyone ever notice that...purchase Kate Spade from the outlet? I'm wondering how different the quality is.
