Limit one promotional code per order. Details of offer are subject to change.I do not remember J.Crew offering a specific Cyber-Monday promotion, let alone one this good. J.Crew is really stepping up with amazing offers this holiday season!
As for me... I already took advantage of this offer and picked up a new watch strap for my recently acquired Timex® Traveler Watch (Item 37301; review here; $98.00, now $78.00). Couldn't resist with the additional 25% off. It's especially nice having it delivered for free, since I want to avoid the malls (and their crazy parking lots during the holiday shopping season). Yey!
Will you be taking advantage of the SURPRISE promo? Are you loving the new promotion from J.Crew? Did you pick up an item or two? Please share! :)
I have to say I am quite surprised!
ReplyDeleteThere are a few sale items I've been stalking. If they pop back, I will definitely take advantage of this!
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice surprise! Now I'm able to pick up a little gift I've been wanting to get for a while.
ReplyDeleteEbates if offering 10% cashback on J.Crew and 8% cashback on Madewell. They actually have cyber Monday on ebates, offering double the cash back on a long list of stores. Check ebates before you check out!
ReplyDeleteOh hale. It figures eBates goes through the roof AFTER I've already placed an order, grrr. And on top of that, it doesn't appear that my eBates situation went through with my order from Thursday, arrgghh.
ReplyDeleteBut this is the one time of year I really can't bear to be in stores, so I mostly shop online for gifts. I placed a monster Crewlade-fueled order on Thursday, picking up some gifts for my sisters and mom as well as the Timex traveler watch and a few spare straps for myself, hehehehe. I have to send my Tag out to be repaired, and it will be gone for 6 to 8 weeks, boo hoo!
No refresh of the inventory though, which is a bummer.
It's a nice surprise but I'm probably going to pass. Shopping at J. Crew has become overwhelming. The price differences between online and in-store are really huge in some cases and the additional percent off doesn't always make up for them. When I visited my local store this weekend I opted not to buy anything because the few sale items I wanted didn't have an additional 30 off. While I love a good bargain, it wasn't about paying rock bottom but about not feeling ripped off by paying for something the company is willing to sell for much lower. I also have my own price points for clothing and J. Crew's quality still hasn't been up to par to the point where their merchandise meets those standards.
ReplyDeleteEgads...I knew I wasn't out of the woods yet for online shopping! I don't need another thing but I don't doubt there'll be something in my shopping cart before the end of the day.
ReplyDeleteITA with nomoneyfun and will probably pass on this promo as well.
ReplyDeleteWill power. Will Power. Will power. I'm trying HARD not to place any more orders with J. Crew until all my packages arrive.
ReplyDeleteMeh, the rest of America seems to be 50% off today, so this doesn't entice, especially given the absurdly high price points to begin with for merchandise clearly lacking in quality.
ReplyDeleteLike others, I returned the tinsel tweed skirt - can't believe they want $158 for such poor materials. Love that it came packaged with one of those "we're obsessed about quality" cards. Bite me.

ReplyDeleteBarbabelle,
ReplyDeleteI know exactly what you mean about that skirt. Glad to hear you agree!
It's actually a pretty sweet deal as far as J. Crew goes. I wasn't planning to shop but I might just have a looksy now.
ReplyDeleteSad to hear about the material defects on the Tinsel Tweed skirt. I really appreciate hearing everyone's reviews :> It helps steer me clear of online ordering disasters. Happy Cyber Monday everyone!
ReplyDeleteI think this is a very great SURPRISE! Thank you J.Crew.
ReplyDeleteHowever, I do have to agree with many other posters that the price points are way to high for the (poorer) quality of J.Crew items. I mean CRAZY high by my standards. I know everyone has their own idea of what makes a good deal.
I will be taking a look at the accessories section for today:) Wish their scarf quality was the same as in years past. I would get one.
Wow what a surprise! I pulled the trigger for the polka-dot popover! The only thing preventing me from getting it over the weekend was the $150 minimum for free shipping! Thanks J crew!!!!
ReplyDeleteAlready did... Tippi sweater is no longer available in stores so I had to resort to online shopping for it.
ReplyDeleteSome reviews here.

ReplyDeleteI'm using the promo to stock up on wardrobe staples/stocking stuffers like socks, tees, and boxers. As far as big ticket items, though, there aren't any I want/need.
ReplyDeleteTrying to sit this one out. Any reviews on the size and quality of the cashmere henleys? They are tempting me.
ReplyDeletere: cashmere henley. I ordered one way back with the 1st sweater promo. I felt like the body was short. It hit right at the top of the waistband. The body is "normal" width so with the cinching in at the waist of the bottom hem, it gave it a bit of a "blouson" effect. Fine if that was what you were going for. Perhpas why online model has it tucked into a skirt. Also, the leather buttons were too top heavy and weighed down the front. I wouldn't have been able to leave some unbutton bc/ of the weight. Sadly disappointed. :< HTH!
ReplyDeleteDo you have an Amex card? Register it here: https://giftchain.amexnetwork.com for their gift chain promo. J Crew is one of the participating retailers.
ReplyDeleteThank you Pathos.
ReplyDeleteI ordered one yesterday. I couldn't find a review. It sounds like its going back. Bummer bc the colors are pretty. It hasn't shipped yet, maybe I can cancel the henley at least.
I also ordered the cashmere sweater with buttons on the shoulders. I hope that one is flattering.
I'm still loving the Crochet Lace Front tee whenever I see this on bloggers. Looks so versatile and I might add one to my puffer order today :>
ReplyDeleteOddly enough, there's nothing I'm dying to get right now. I'm not sure whether to be happy about this development, or sad...
ReplyDeleteA- I ordered that cashmere sweater too, the snowbound? I think that one will be wearable. Another JCA "Moya" commented how well it fit and how often she has worn it already, which tipped me over the edge.
ReplyDeleteI stocked up on some of my fave tights! 'Tis the season...
ReplyDeleteThanks Pathos! That's the one. I got it in a medium to have a little more room. I hope it works. I have been all over the place in sizing.
ReplyDeleteThank you for all of your comments. They are really helpful!
Thinking about two items, and would love some feedback on colours and sizing:
ReplyDelete1) I've loved the Greta suede wedges since the summer, but am not sure whether I should go for a 9 or 9.5. My J.Crew driving mocs in 9 fit fine, but my Collins suede platform pumps in 9 are definitely too small (sold out by the time I tried to re-order, so I'm suffering for the sake of fashion as I couldn't bring myself to return them).
2) The Drapey Sequin Tank 32360 is calling me, but is the Dark Pewter colour a grey or a brown? Pewter usually means grey, but in the photos it looks brown, though not as brown as the tweed pants she's wearing it with. Does anyone have it, or have you seen it IRL?
Thanks!
I bit on a few things. One item I want is backordered online, so I called my B&M, they have it and will honor the 25% off. We'll see if they let me stack my educator discount on top, I'm going to give it a try!
ReplyDeleteHappy cyber monday all. Lands End has $15 fleece and 30% off everything plus free shipping online, just scored for dad and brothers there. Vera Bradley has great deals today too, did that for mom.
Done for a bit now, time for a latte :)
I pulled the trigger on some basics--jeans and tees and the Miller motorcycle boots. I waited too long for my Cole Haan boots and they were out of my size so JCrew got my money instead. I hope they work.
ReplyDeleteI'm waiting for post-Christmas sales for the rest of my wishlist. I'd like a velvet schoolboy blazer but I'm convinced I'll be able to get one for under $100 if I'm patient. Unless they release some late holiday new arrivals, I think I'm out until after the holidays.
I feel like as soon as these promo's are done, they are going to do a MAJOR price reduction.
According to my online PS, there are more holiday items coming Thursday the 1st.
ReplyDeleteITA with nomoneyfun - the pricing games get old.
ReplyDeleteI'm playing the waiting game on the Lady Lace Popover sweater. I ordered it last time it was out and on sale and foolishly returned it. I had gotten it at a much better price than it is now. Hoping it goes down and then for a 30 off sale promo. And hoping my size is still available!
ReplyDeleteI too am seriously annoyed with the disparity of online and in store prices! I understand if a single store is running a promo but across the board the flair skirt has been selling for 52 dollars or so in stores and on line, it's still 80 something dollars with the 25% off promo. This is ridiculous fleecing of your on line customers J Crew. In protest I'm returning both of the flair skirts I ordered recently and probably most of the other items too because I'm shooting in the dark on sizing. Depending on the item I could go from 0 to 4 on tops and 2 to 6 on bottoms! Because there are no systematic method for customers to review items on the website, aside from blogs it's all hit or miss.
ReplyDeleteAnother reason I'm not buying anything today is because I'm put off by another type of price gaming, putting something on sale, running a promo and taking it off sale. No other store I know of engages in such underhanded tactics.
ReplyDeleteOT--does anyone know how Talbots sizing compares to JC? Are they typically cut larger? MUCH larger? I think I am going to order the kate fit velveteen jacket. Have no clue what size. In JC I am a 6 to 8. TIA
ReplyDeleteJRuby18, I am also waiting out the LLP. I got my last two for ~$59 so that's where my brain is ... I really want the off-white one!
ReplyDeleteAnd I agree, the price guessing game is just so annoying. I can't tell you how long I dithered with a full cart wondering if I was making the right decision. But this promo isn't final sale, right? So I figured I could just return anything that didn't work out.
Although I am still stymied as to why my eBates didn't go through with the order. Argh.
Got the No. 2 pencil skirt in corduroy and the Blythe dress, both in navy.
ReplyDeleteStill waiting for my order from last week to ship, it seems really slow.
ReplyDeleteIsn't this sweet!

Jruby and Elaine,
ReplyDeleteThe lady lace popover is $49.99 in stores, and your store can either confirm the price (for price matching) over the red phone for you to place an order, or if you get a super helpful PS, they may be willing to place the order online for you through their terminal computer for the in-store price. Not sure if they would be willing to apply the 25% off or not, since it is online only today, but it might be worth asking. Hope this helps! I LOVE this sweater! FYI, the ivory is pretty see-through (cami is a must).
Wendy
@CharlotteSometimes...
ReplyDeleteI love Talbots. Their dresses run similar to J.Crew, but they are often *much* roomier in the bust. I haven't bought a jacket in years, so that may be different. I would visit their website and talk to a SA.
:) Jen
Amaryllis, I too wanted to purchase the flair skirt (in floating rose), but I'm unwilling to pay the online price, and my B&M doesn't carry it. I can't think of any brand that has such a major price discrepancy for the same items.

ReplyDeleteNice little surprise. Got some Christmas gifts and even something for me. Looking forward to my iphone case that looks like wood.
ReplyDeleteI caved and ordered the Macalister wedges. They still seem pricey even with the discount for the Canadian price. Do they ever go on sale? Thank you.
ReplyDeleteI was pretty sure that we would have this promo today but I wasn't planning to order anything since all the factory pj pants are sold-out in xs and I still have to enjoy my winter clothes due to the wackho NYC weather this year. But then I went to my store and got to try the selvedge chambray shirt in XXS (I have the short sleeves from the summer and love it) so I decided to get it if they honored the no minimum discount. I had a hard time to get them honor the 25% but in the end they did.
ReplyDeleteWendy, thank you so much for the info! Obviously can't make it into the store this evening as it closes in 15 minutes, but I will definitely head in there tomorrow or Wednesday. **fingers crossed!!**
ReplyDeleteCharlotte sometime,s I have a closet full of talbots jackets. I own at least 6 that I bought in the winner last year and 3 this summer I wear it the same jacket size as I do n j crew
ReplyDeleteGot the perfect shirt in black gingham and some nice tights - happy!
ReplyDeleteI am wanting to buy the Mona suede pumps in wild berry, but am waiting for a decent discount. Is today's 25% off and free shipping as good as it's going to get? Or should I wait? I really want to wear them for the holidays!
ReplyDeleteOh,man...I have done some serious damage to my J Crew card in the past week. I ordered before thanksgiving with the extra 25% off and got a bunch of stuff; then last night I ordered two thermal sweatshirts, a cashmere tee, the velvet schoolboy blazer and the feathered crystal necklace. Yikes. My order from before my last order hasn't even arrived yet (my timex traveler watch). I am pretty sure I won't be keeping all of it but with the free shipping, it gives me a chance to try some things on in case they go on final sale some day at a steep discount.
ReplyDeleteOh, my...here we go again....30% off all women's, men's and kids sweaters plus free shipping. Must. Stay. Strong.
ReplyDeleteJenn Hattan - I don't recall there being shoe promos, so the 25% sitewide is a good deal. For giggles, let's just say a 30% sitewide promo rolled out. For the record, I would be really shocked if we saw a sitewide promo of 30%. Anyway, the shoes would be $150 at 25% off and $138.60 at 30% off. A mere $12 in savings. Obviously, the best deal would be a markdown plus an additional 30%, but I'm not sure you'll see that by the time you want to wear them. Also, will your size/color be available...? We can only guess, but it seems the bright colors in merch consistently sell out before basics. In closing, it's best to get things now while on promo & while they're not on final sale. That will be back before we know it.
ReplyDeleteElaine - I don't know if this is the reason for your eBates miss but did you open and close a few different windows while shopping and maybe checked out using a screen that didn't go through eBates?
