Jenna Lyons House for Sale {say it ain't so!}

"Thanks!" to Sarah from Curbed National, as well as Joyce, who shared the following news with us: Jenna's {ah-mah-zing} home is for sale. The following article is from Curbed (click here to read in its entirety & to see more pictures of the home):
J.Crew's Jenna Lyons to Sell Her Knockout Park Slope House
By Rob Bear
November 8, 2011

J.Crew president and creative director Jenna Lyons has been going through a lot this year: the sale of her employer to a private equity shop, a split with her artist husband, a rumored relationship with jewelry exec Courtney Crangi, and now, the sale of her frequently-published, frankly gorgeous Park Slope townhouse.

The home, located at 178 Garfield Place, has been a fixture on the glossy home magazine circuit after scoring the cover of the dear-departed Domino in 2008 and is now listed for $3.75M. The listing claims the house has seven bedrooms spread among its 4,400-square-foot interiors, and while the floor plan tells a different story, there's no denying this 20-foot product of the 1880s is quite the Brooklyn roost.

Highlights include a full-floor master suite, bright renovated kitchen, highly organized wine cellar, and an elegant rear garden "anchored by a mature Dogwood tree." Oh, who are we kidding, this whole place is a highlight. Sadly, this is only proof that a beautiful piece of real estate might not be enough to hold a marriage together, even though Lyons and hubby Vincent Mazeau paid $1.3M for the property in 2004. Click over to Curbed NY for some floorplan porn.
I am sure it was a difficult decision to sell this home- it is gorgeous! I also doubt this house will sit on the market too long.

P.S. A random aside, but another fellow JCA sent me this news today and I can't seem to find the email/comment. I think I accidentally deleted it. If that person is you, please send me another email (jcrewaficionada at yahoo dot com) to let me know. I want to properly acknowledge your contribution. My apologies and thank you for sharing! :)

  5. Can you imagine how cold it would be to get up on a hardwood floor in your kitchen on an early sunny morning or in the winter. In order to get rid of this situation, I can advise you to pay attention to Kitchen Cabinets PRINCETON, NJ. As it offers you not only to make upgrades to your kitchens in the form of insulated parquet floors, but also to do kitchen remodeling at the best price.

  6. I really like the windows in this apartment. I think it looks very elegant. Actually, I'm currently planning a major overhaul, and I've already found a reliable company for home window replacement San Francisco. Well I think it's worth doing this first and then calmly deal with the rest of the repair.
