"Thanks!" to Marietta who shared the following email J.Crew sent this morning.
Similar to the email J.Crew sent in September (refer to "J.Crew Email: Keep time with a classic" post), this email features the Timex Military Watch (Item 10884; $150.00). J.Crew also offers the Solid Watch Strap (Item 19474; $20.00) in a variety of colors including Authentic Red (perfect for the Holidays!)
The email also reminds us that they are offering 20% off select styles of Women's Knits and Tees (click here to shop online). This offer expires today and is available only online.
Lastly, J.Crew is offering free shipping on orders of $150+ with promo code 150SHIP. This offer expires today too. Apparently some JCAs have reported being unable to use this code even though they met the requirements. Something to keep in mind when purchasing. If this is the case (the code is not working for you), you should try calling the order in and explaining the situation. The customer service representatives (CSR) should apply the code for you on your order. :)
OT: Wow, I just had a mini-J.Crew flashback:

ReplyDeleteWow Mack, you're right. I have to say, the Ann Taylor stuff doesn't pull me in but this totally would if they go the route of the old J. Crew. We'll have to see what they come out with but I like the first impression a lot.
ReplyDeleteIf anyone is interested in checking Canvas out - I have a Lands End 25% off Friends and Family promo that applies to Canvas too. Email me and I can forward you the coupon (up to 20 people) - mackenzie_0007 at yahoo dot com. The promo ends tomorrow (Monday). I am intrigued!
ReplyDeleteI like the cotton shawl collar sweater and the striped oxford shirts a lot. I'm not sure about the rounded collar on the blue one. The two blazer styles are cute too. I've been thinking about a horizontal stripe top like Meg Ryan wears in French Kiss, but not a turtleneck.
ReplyDeleteVery old J. Crew and really interesting, thanks for sharing!
I love the camp shirt and the silk sailboat tie/belt! Oh yeah, promo is also includes free ship. Ok, I'll stop posting about it now. :)
ReplyDeleteCan't help but comment... I had no idea that Lands End had this out- I'll have to check it out more closely! I've bought from Lands End here and there (down jackets for the family, T shirts) but never saw this Canvas section. Lands End has great customer service and once you are on their mailing list, they always send you free shipping coupons. And you can do all the returns at any Sears store.
ReplyDeletei love it! so fresh, bright, clean, classic... looking forward to see what new items they come out with.
ReplyDeleteHas anyone else flipped through the Holiday Style Tips section of the website (at least on the women's side its the opener)?? Some of those outfits are out of this world!! My favorite, however, is 07. Take a look, I figured Alexis might take particular offense at outfit 03 ;)
ReplyDeleteWow is right! Cute stuff at Land's End! Love the cotton lawn shirt.
ReplyDeleteHah, reading the Holiday style tips, the one with the tuxedo jacket calls it "a remedy to little black dress boredom" ... and yet, what do I spy among the categories after clicking on the dresses icon to the left, but one entitled "the little black dress." ... Meanwhile IMO the cords, sneakers, long sloppy cardigan, sequin jacket & trapper hat look goes down among the 10 worst styled looks j.crew has ever put together.
ReplyDeleteOT: The catalog indicates that the Minnie pant now comes in the Wild Blackberry color but it's not showing up online in this shade. Has anyone seen that color Minnies in the B&M, and if so, is it closer to navy or to dark purple?
ReplyDeleteRe Land's End: to follow up on what Mack said, for a couple of years now Mr. Hex and I have been looking at each other when a new LE catalog arrives and saying "Is Land's End getting better or are we getting stuffier?" (Truthfully, both are correct.) This year I picked up the LE Audrey cords on a 25% plus FS promo--around $29 and every bit as nice as the JC matchsticks, plus hemmed for free. This new LE line really looks like they're trying to poach some JC customers.
ReplyDeleteIf Mack runs out of LE F&F, I have the same e-mail and can forward it, hexicon at yahoo com.
Mack-whoa canvas totally reminds me of vintage J.Crew!
ReplyDeleteLands End has come out with Matchstick jeans in their Fit 1 line $39.99! compared to $98.00 JC. Sorry I do not have the number it is in their New Arrivals section on-line, and not yet in the catalog.
