J.Crew Email: Keep warm (and stylish). Plus, FREE SHIPPING.

"Thanks!" to many of you, including Marietta, as well as jBird & CheesyGoodness (in this post), who shared the following news & email J.Crew sent this morning.

J.Crew is reminding us about their latest new arrivals that are available for purchase online and brick & mortar (B&M) stores.

They are also offering free shipping on purchases of $125+ with promo code SHIP125, and on $150+ with promo code HARVEST. These offers expire 11/30/09.

Are there any new arrivals you are interested in? Will you be taking advantage of this promotion?

  1. Has anyone seen the Stardust pencil skirt in person? My local B&M doesn't have it (apparently not so much of a diamond for sparkly skirts in Buffalo). I keep finding myself strangely drawn to it... how is the quality (lining? sequin adhesion). Is it stretchy? I'm about a 12 on the bottom, so I need something that hugs a bit and isn't stiff and has some movement.

  2. I am still on the lookout for the cotton version of the Victoria, which doesn't appear to be online yet and is still not at my B&M.

  3. Maybe it's just me, but after all the free shipping (w/ no min) and 20% off codes, I'm a little J.Crew'd out.

  4. Cass-I emailed customer service to see if they could find information on the Victoria top...this is what they sent back!! :)

"I just wanted to follow up with you and let you know that the model is wearing our Victorian ruffle tissue cami. This is item will be available on or about December 11 and will sell for $39.50. This will be offered in dark charcoal, navy, white, warm blush, spicy Olive, light flamingo and pale lilac. It will be offered in extra small, small, medium, large and extra large."

I also asked if this item would be available online or if it would be better to pre-order (wanting to avoid the pre-order considering some of the problems other JCA's have had) and she confirmed that the item would be online closer to the Dec. 11th date!! :) Hope this helps and I can't wait!!

  5. Sarah - thanks for the heads-up. This seems a bit odd as the 'official' rollout is close to Dec 11 while some store already put them out on the shelves as some JCAs reported.

  6. Amanda - I have the stardust skirt in copper which isn't as orange as I thought it would be - it's more burgundy/brownish copper. The sequins look pretty well adhered. It doesn't seem stretchy to me. It's definitely not stiff. It's pretty lightweight and very easy to wear. The lining is smooth/comfy. The sequins aren't as catchy (as in sequins getting caught and catching on other fabric) as some sequined clothes. I noticed some loose threads here and there - a sort of plastic fishing line type thread that looks like is what is holding the sequins all in place. They're easily clipped and didn't result in losing any sequins. Hope that helps!

  7. amanda, maybe it is just me being clumsy, but I looked at stardust pencil skirt in my B&M and as I was taking the hanger off a rack I immediately snagged off few sequins. Needles to say I decided it is too delicate for me and did not even take it to the fitting room. It look yummy and very soft though, so if you are careful with your clothes go for it, I am the one that always spills coffee on my new clothes :(
sarah, they have cotton victoria in paramus nj for a while, maybe you can call and order from them.

  8. Cass, Sarah: Went to B&M (North Michigan Ave. Chicago) this afternoon. They have tons of new arrivals, including the the Victorian ruffle tissue cami selling for $39.50. I saw all of the colors you listed but not white. Probably just missed it. Plenty of new t-shirts, too, including a snowflake applique ("vintage slub sequin snowflake") in pale gray for $45.00. So much cute new merchandise that I didn't have time to get a good look. Will probably go back tomorrow!

  12. Hi All ! I have been following this blog for some time now and would like to thank everyone for the wonderful help they have been! I ordered the women's belstaff roadmaster jacket few days back and am waiting for UPS to ring my doorbell...

  13. I didn't use this code, but used my "free ship on any amount" for signing into my account when checking out. I hope everyone has received this bonus at one point or another this fall?

I purchased the Skinny Studded Belt in "Fresh Pear" on sale for a Girls Gift Exchange in December. I thought it could be used now and through the Spring season.

  15. Sarah, thanks for the info. Yes, I believe that is the top the model is wearing on the top of the jewelry page! That's how I first found out about it.

  16. p.s., anyone who saw the top in their store, is the fit on the larger side like many of the tissue t's are, or more fitted? I might call the Chicago store to order and am deciding between L or XL...

  17. Just came back from my B&M and scored some nice tops :) The Olive top in the light heather shade, blue cotton Victoria, Jaspe cardigan, and a beaded fireball necklace that was on sale too.

*Note: For anyone who missed out on the Tiered Crystal Libretto in Dusty Blossom, Montgomery Mall's B&M has 3 of them :)

  18. Cass: The cotton Victoria runs a little big, so I suggest sizing down. HTH!

  19. Oh yeah, the Tiered Libretto's were going for $39.99 in dusty blossom. Ok, promise I'm done now, haha!

  20. Momoberry, where is the Montgomery mall? I called the Bethesda one just now and they said they never got it in...not sure if that was the right one.

I am desperate for this necklace!

    ReplyDelete
  21. Yes it is the one in Bethesda and I have no clue why they said they don't have it?? Tell them it's in the sale section with the rest of the jewelry. Sometimes the SA's there are a bit crewless :p

    HTH!

  22. Thanks Momoberry! I called and someone else answered and they do have it, but they won't send it out or let me order over the phone, only put on hold. Too bad I am 500 miles away! :(

Thanks for the info, I appreciate it!

  23. lizPoms: Call the store again and ask to speak to a manager. There's no reason why they cannot ship the item, even if it's sale. there are a lot of new SAs given the holiday season, so they are likely not always getting the rules right. They will charge you for shipping, but there's no rule against shipping sale items to customers! Try again!

  24. Lizpoms: Terry is right, I've never had issues with JCrew not being able to mail an item. Most of the time the new SAs don't know the ropes too well, so speaking with the manager would be best.
