Happy St. Patrick's Day! {celebrating w/ J.Crew?}

First and foremost... Happy Saint Patrick's Day everyone!

I know I have mentioned this before, but I l-o-v-e these posts. It is really interesting to hear what other Aficionadas and Aficionados plan on wearing, since it gives me lots of wonderful ideas for future outfits. :) So for this post, what we are planning to wear on Saint Patrick's Day? :)

What are you planning to wear this Saint Patrick's Day? Are you planning to go "head to toe" J.Crew or parts J.Crew?

    I am head to toe JCrew, haha. I'm wearing gabardine trousers in dark grey, a perfect-fit scoop neck half-sleeve top in cerise, and a print silk scarf that has cerise, pink, brown, and tropical aqua in it on a cream background. No, I am not wearing green, but I am wearing orange!!

    I am dressed (for work) in Ann Taylor Gray dress pants, J. Crew Green Piper cami, J. Crew navy Jackie cardigan. I painted my toes an organgish color before remembering that Ireland's flag is green, white and orange.

    I am wearing my black J.Crew Carrie dress, with a white shirt and a BR green slik scarf/neck tie.

    I Love my Carrie Dress! IT's so versitile! I roll the collar in and wear it with a proper shrit, or leave the collar out and wear it with a cardi.

    I am wearing the Joelle blouse, in the mossy green color, which my boss did not think was festive enough! I can't argue with him because, well, he is a judge! I am wearing it with an express pencil skirt and my tall black rivington boots.

    I almost wore my golden moss penelope peep toes but just didn't have enough time to put an outfit together this morning! dang.

    (*) Boots used for self-defense by kicking a guy at the strategic area.

    I am wearing a pair of Nine West peep toes that have a green floral and white pattern, black AT slacks, grey BR sweater tee, JC green linen striped scarf and Coach multi-striped bracelet.

    OT but I just used the EXTRA 20 and it worked on all my items -- all were in the final sale section but only one was actually marked with the red final sale :)

    Jcrew stone bead necklace in avacado (which, let's be honest - is more of a pale celadon green)

    Just thought it was silly to post the code on the side even b/c in the past the code will only work for a few hours and then be gone.

    My daughter and I are all decked out today. I have on the cream with black fleur-de-lis crewneck waffle l/s T under the green teeny pocket s/s slub T from a couple years ago (my first slub, which hooked me for good!) with VS jeans and green glitter eyeliner. My little one has on a pink l/s T under a gift from my bestie, a green s/s T that says "Not lucky but cute!" and we both have on our white Chucks. If I still lived in Savannah I'd be rocking my greatest thrift store find, a green polyester leisure suit. Have a Happy St. Pats, all!

    I have to disagree though with not trying to get price adjustments. I think it's always worth a try. I bought a bunch of swim items a couple of weeks ago when they offered free shipping. A day later a 20% off all swim code came out. I called CS and got an adjustment. I'm just saying - I don't see anything wrong or nonsensical with calling CS and seeing what they can do for you. That's what they're there for.

    I never wear green on March 17. I have red hair and people always wish me a happy St. Pat's but there is no Irish in our family, the red comes from the Scandanavian side. When I was in my early 20's I used to go to the bars and tell people my name was Colleen Murphy. Free drinks! Of course, that got boring after a couple years.

    I'm not wearing J.Crew today. St. John charcoal skirt suit with Ralph Lauren pink flower print silk blouse and Chie Mihara Ivete black suede pumps.

Today I am wearing the double serge pencil skirt in ivory, an ivory beaded cami from Ann Taylor, a beautiful lawn green cashmere Jackie cardigan, and tall brown Via Spiga boots. I'm also wearing a flower ring from JC, I don't see it offered online but I found it last week at a b&m. It's primarily gold, with a smattering of crystals along the petals and around the center of the flower. So pretty!

    It is not Alexis's fault for posting the code, it is the people who call CS and ASK FOR A PRICE ADJUSTMENT who tip J Crew off. I bet this code was not supposed to go into effect until Wed. when the usual markdowns occur.

But on the days that I work 12 hour shifts in a hospital, I don't have time to read blog after blog when I get home.     -My favorite gap jeans (seriously slimming, super long, and great pocket placement), finished off with my trusty Charles and David Patented leather maryjanes, 3inch heels. I have wore for the past 4 years!

    Accidentally wore a bunch of green yesterday and couldn't find anything else for today :( Yesterday I wore: kelly green jackie cardi from couple seasons ago, lt green wrap/scarf, fav green stone bracelet, black pants and leopard flats. Didn't occur to me until I got home and husband said confused "St. Patrick's Day is tomorrow..." Oops.

I am wearing my golden moss (the green, orange and navy ones) penelope peep toes (couldn't resist) with jeans, and a brown tank under a spiced mustard Jackie. I have at least 20 pieces of green clothing (it's my favorite color) so it was hard to choose.

    My whole class was decked out in green today...I wore the green cardigan with scotty dogs that JCA Emily graciously gave to me :) along with GAP long-sleeved black t shirt, Martin and Osa denim trouser, Initial Outfitters silver chain link necklace, and black Franco Sarto boots...very comfy for this Irish girl!

    No green beer, but maybe a little Bailey's after the kiddos are in bed!

    I think the extra20 code is on final sale items only. If it doesn't work you can always call in to have it applied.

    So I have a question I made about a 150.00 order today (sale pg with the extra 20 off.)

    None of the items came up in red saying final sale. Does this mean they are returnable??

    Nathan- I noticed the same thing today when I placed my order (only 1 item said Final sale) Then when I got home I had a lovely J Crew box on my doorstep and to my surprise none of the items I purchased said Final Sale on the receipt or on the item. These were almost all winter items/Fall 2008 etc... so I assumed that they would be FS. Yeah, I can try them on and have a few weeks to decide if they are going back.
    Smart move J Crew- I tend to buy more when I know I can return a few items.
