"Thanks!" to many of you, who shared the following email/ promotion from J.Crew today.
J.Crew is offering customers 10% off their purchases with a unique (one time) promo code. This offer expires December 18, 2014.
This code is being sent to customer through an email. So double check
your email account (and SPAM folder) to see if you got this offer!
It seems like this offer is good on top of the additional 40% off sale and 30% off everything else promotion that is going on now... amazing!!!
What are your thoughts on J.Crew
latest email promotion? Did you get the email? Are you planning to use
it? If so, please share! :)
I didn't get that email. Would have been nice yesterday when I placed 3 orders! grrr... wish I could also use those $20 off $100 coupons online.
ReplyDeleteHeather
Partial to Pink
well, they finally got me. Decided to try out a couple things, before FS hits, while I still have the option to return.
ReplyDeleteI didn't get one :(.....wonder if it's just for cardholders only? If anybody has one they aren't using I'll take it: laurenehood@gmail.com.
ReplyDeleteAnyone know if this promo can be doubled up with the $20 off $100 in stores?
ReplyDeleteHello! If you don't plan to use your 10% coupon, would you please email it to me at ohjoymorelaundry at gmail dot com?
ReplyDeleteThank you.
The code is working strangely, my cart with the JINGLE promotion is LESS than my cart with this code, which makes no sense.
ReplyDeleteI reviewed the cocoon coat in neon electric flame & sandstone in this post. I also have pics of the 2013 retail, 2013 factory side-by-side with the 2014 retail.
ReplyDelete@Jessy -- me too! JINGLE was cheaper than using the code they sent me. I went ahead and purchased the item I wanted with JINGLE, then emailed CS for a price adjustment. Make sure to do a mock-checkout first to make sure the "secret code" is working!
ReplyDeleteYes, that was strange, when I got my final tally, the "bonus" code only applied to 2 of my 3 items.
DeleteYes i called them to tell them it was wonky. I used JINGLE then they did a price adjustment. How annoying! Make sure to check your cart prices carefully, because when I entered the code, everything looked like it was working, however the prices were not an extra 10% less.
Deletehow can you use both codes (jingle plus the email) in an online sale? I'd rather not have to take the extra step to call someone...
ReplyDeleteI just put in the code they emailed me, and it went right to the current promo plus the extra 10% off --
DeleteAnyone have a code they're not using? I'd gladly use it and make the world a better place by being a snappier dresser!
ReplyDeletejakejday@yahoo.com
i have two codes for the extra 10% off:

DeleteI emailed customer service and got a price adjustment on the order I placed yesterday, which made everything 50% off instead of 40%. The lady who responded was very nice and prompt. A painless and pleasant experience for me. :)
ReplyDeleteMBaker - great idea! I phoned and immediately got a price adjustment for yesterdays purchase. You saved me $22 - thank you!
DeleteFYI, the codes can be used multiple times.
And after my difficult CS experience yesterday I was delighted to have a cheerful and quick conversation today. Very nice.
I totally agree you really need to manually figure out the best price and where to purchase online vs. instore. For example, Tippi sweaters were 40% off in store over the weekend with the 40% off sweaters promo, but only 30% online today I did place an order with my 10% off code. For a Majesty peacoat to try, a pair of minnies and for two of the Donald Robertson™ for J.Crew heart-headed women tees. They got reduced to $34.99 and ended up being $18.99 with all discounts. I will return the others that I ordered, 1 an earlier purchase and 1 that is still on its way to me. I may stop by my store at lunch and see what the heck prices they are offering.
ReplyDeleteI'll take a code if someone is not using theirs - elizabethsibsmith@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteJust wondering -- what is everyone getting?
ReplyDeleteI'll also be grateful for a code if someone is not using theirs - jnmullings [at] gmail [dot] com
ReplyDeleteWould also love a code if anyone has extra/not using it!! Thanks!! ptlifestyle3 (at) gmail.
ReplyDeleteI emailed CS and they agreed to apply the 10% off my online order yesterday (high rise jeans - love them! - and a tee for my nephew. And as a math teacher, I have to refute the idea that 40% off + 10% off = 50% off. :)
ReplyDeleteI used the code to buy random accessories like a couple of belts, two pairs of flip flops (Havaianas), a fedora hat (my boyfriend hates fedoras on girls but whatever), chambray workshirt in flower bud, and the elephant parade necklace, my first J Crew jewelry purchase in a looong time.
ReplyDeleteAs I was checking out, I noticed that I was getting the free shipping, but somehow it changed on its own, and I ended up paying $8. Kind of annoying but not worth a call to CS. Especially since it will come via UPS, who I trust more than USPS.
Here is the 10% off code: ERFM4XRU4
ReplyDeleteNot sure where to post but I am so excited, I am putting it here. For those that read this religiously, my buffalo plaid shirt jacket came today. It fits!!! Tried it on the minute I got home and it is just fine. Sweet!
ReplyDeleteBTW...my local store was giving the 30% off on top of promo items and giving $20.00 off $100.00. I got a great deal on the Christmas pajamas with all those discounts.
ReplyDeleteJust received a price adjustment on the long open front cardigan in heather ash!! Yay!! On a more sour note I received the long merino wool ribbed sweater in heather twilight and it had a gapping whole in the neck of the sweater, it didn't have tags or a sensor on it which makes me think it came from a store and not the warehouse. Still I couldn't help but think a quick once over of the sweater would have revealed the hole and prevented the huge disappointment I felt on seeing the sweater which is now out of stock online and in stores!!! Come on JCrew I know it's Christmas but a little attention to products being shipped out is in order.
ReplyDeleteNot using my code, hope this helps someone!

Any Canadians aware of what is happening in our stores right now?
ReplyDeleteOT, several new reviews are going up on my blog, one by one, including chunky turtlenecks, calf hair boots, buffalo plaid bomber, flounce skirt, etc
ReplyDeleteTo think I thought I was done. Ordered using the 10% code, Maddie petite in dark quartz. Love the dusty pink color, and i like the fit of Maddies. $46.17 before tax!
ReplyDeleteAlso ordered (since its on promo) the Downing tote in antique pewter. It came out to $85.32! Also ordered a gift for my secret santa, a Vans slip-on for $13.49!
I got the Collection Black Floral dress on popback. Hope it's as pretty IRL as it appears on the website. Also, the sleeveless blouse in graphic print and the Dannie pant. Used the AmEx-J.Crew offer to boot.
ReplyDeleteI was able to purchase the metallic popover in navy, the ankle rain boots in navy, the grey and white stripe turtle neck and the Italian brushed scarf also in Navy. I also picked up a pair of socks, all for $105 dollars. They need to do promo's like these more often. Thank you for posting this promo otherwise I would of never checked my spam and would of missed out on a great deal!
ReplyDeleteHere's another code if anyone wants it ERFUKEUT7
ReplyDeleteI emailed what I thought was CS and haven't heard back on my request for a PA. I hope I sent it to the right email. I sent it to: contactus@jcrew.com. Is that right? Or is there a dedicated customer service email only? thx
ReplyDeleteJruby18, that is the right email. When did you email them? Give them 24 hours or so to respond. I have heard back in less than that but I imagine they are pretty busy right now.....
DeleteI didn't get a response to my email either so I called for my PA.
DeleteThx! - sent it last night. I'll give it a little more time.
DeleteJruby18, I hope you hear back soon! I emailed Madewell earlier this week for an adjustment and it took a little longer than usual (but still < 24 hours). If you don't hear back by email just make sure to call before the promo ends tonight.
Deletetried to use my code this am but rcvd the error that it was expired though they do not expire until tonight. had to call CS to get the extra 10% off.
ReplyDeleteMarissa Webb & me.
ReplyDeleteThat is all.

DeleteI like Marissa. She seems sweet and down to earth.
DeleteIf anyone is not using the code, can you email it to me at sepiaswirl79@hotmail.com? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThese codes are not "one-time use" codes. They work for 48 hours. So, unless J. Crew has figured out a way to tie them to the email account to which they are sent (doubtful), you should be able to use any of the codes posted up thread.
DeleteI agree with some that there's some fuzzy math going on. Not just that 40% + 10% = 50%, but on my order, there are some items to which the 10% did not apply, but it was not a straight 40%. I think I'm too tired too figure it out. Perhaps this is J. Crew's plan all along . . . tire them out with so many coupons and promos that their heads are spinning and they no longer care that the cashmere pills and all the shoulders are dropped.
Yes, it is confusing. I placed two orders today and tried to use the code a second time and it didn't work...
DeleteI tried all the codes. Unfortunately, each code can only be used once, so I think all the codes posted have already been applied to once purchase.
DeleteIn stores they will apply the extra 10% off code without actually keying the code. They just apply it as 10% off the order total. So it might be worth a trip to the stores if you really want to get that extra 10%. Also I agree with the others, regarding the math being off. I purchased the puffer down vest in stores and it was 38 after all discounts counts were applied but online it was 43? Not sure how they are working their math but as other have said it's too confusing to even bother getting more detailed justification.
DeleteAlso wanted to add that in stores they are giving out a certificate (Take $ 20 off 100 or more purchase) with every purchase. It's in store use only and expireson Jan 4th.
Deleteok, so "full-price" items get a 30% discount, "sale" items get 40%, the new code gets you another 10% on top of each discounted item. So some things will cost you 63% of the starting price du jour, and others will cost you 54%.
DeleteThe fine print for the exclusive code:

OK, so super excited that my order for the Nike Montreals in Navy Mint actually shipped! And after sale price, promo code, and gift card applied, I only paid $12. I also orded two of the tissue turtlenecks. Anyone have one and like it? I tried the oversized one a month ago, but it looked like a tent on me (despite the fact I sized down -- stupid boobs made it billow out like a tent -- LOL!).
ReplyDeleteGreetings Danielle - I own several tissue turtlenecks and find them to be fitted, but not overly tight. Therefore, I take my go-to size of Small. They are "tissue" and work better as a layer under sweaters and blazers than on their own. But they aren't so thin that you have to cover them up :-) I hope they work for you - Jennifer
DeleteThanks, Jennifer! Glad I scooped with the cream and black striped one when I did -- that colorway is totally sold out now.
DeleteI have an extra $20 off $100 cards. This is in store only and good until 1/4/2015. If you are willing to give me your address I will mail off tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteEmail me at josanne955@gmail.com. First come, first served.
