I ordered a sweater on the 12th and it still has not shipped by the 19th. CS indicates that it is coming from a store, but they don't know what store, nor can they do anything to expedite this or find it until the 25th. Basically I've been told to wait 2 weeks and then when I don't get it (and it is sold out) they can request that another one be shipped to me. They need to update their system if they truly have no idea what store is fulfilling this order. I know it is just a sweater, but I'm a very unhappy customer right now. Any advice? I would have just reordered it myself, but I used my rewards on this purchase.
ReplyDeleteI also thought it was funny that they could not guarantee that the sweater would actually ship, but IF it did ship they guaranteed that it would get to me in the stated 6-8 business days. This makes no sense.
DeleteThis happened to me a few weeks ago. The sweater did eventually ship from a store. Thankfully it was in perfect condition as my size sold out. When I called to ask when or if I would receive the shipment, customer service looked into it, apologized for the delay and sent me a gift card for the inconvenience. I thought that was really great customer service!

ReplyDeletei don't know, ladies... i guess there isn't too much to vent about because I'm just not feeling the crew lately (maybe that's a vent in itself)... a sweater here... a shirt there... but most of the stuff i've bought lately are just things to replace what i already have: new black jeans, some cord pants, a navy turtleneck sweater... i ventured out of my comfort zone and bought the gilded chevron front shell (b7932) but i'm on the fence about it.
ReplyDeletei guess my vent is that i'm "meh" about a lot of stuff.
Me too, I wet by the collection store and there are some ugly cheap feeling sweaters out there. A special shout out to the sequin cuff sweater that felt especially cheap. I feel so sad I have so many special pieces I wish I bough more in the years past!
DeleteThe blurred ikat shirt in poly just really doesn't drap well or fit properly.... why give the top a wool yoke if the rest is going to be forever 21-grade polyester?
ReplyDeleteI received a very expensive dress that someone paid full price for. Doesn't belong to me and I didn't get my item.
ReplyDelete!!!!!
A general vent about reviews everywhere: "You can dress it up or down" is not helpful and it's not a review.
ReplyDeleteha! I know, so frustrating when reviewers say that. ANYTHING can be dressed up or down. I want to know about fit, fabric, quality, and so on.
DeleteDon't even get me started.....Ugh. There are also reviews out there, titled reviews, and it's just a picture. No description of fabric feel, colors, fit (your regular size doesn't say anything). I should just stop.
DeleteYes to all of this. Also, don't give it a five-star review if you haven't received or tried it on yet. It's okay, the world can wait for a real review.
DeleteSuzy - lol at regular size. I could've gone on and on, too, but dressed up or down is the clear 'winner' for me.
Deletesilver_lining those are the most annoying! Along the same lines, Amazon & eBay are rife with one star reviews because "I got the wrong" whatever. NO. That is a one star for the SERVICE, not the ITEM.
DeleteI posted this on a previous thread, but I bought the black 3x1 skinny jeans, put them on and within an hour the knees both ripped when I bent down to do something. It was pretty unbelievable! The noise was startling! LOL.
ReplyDeleteI called CS and they were very nice. I'm exchanging the jeans for a pair of leather flats. (the black and white ones that are on sale at the moment.) It's fine, I have other black jeans. The fit on these are good, too bad the knees ripped like this.
This is so bizarre--I've actually heard this more than once. In fact, I ran into a friend at the store wearing the ripped knee jeans as it had just occurred when she was nearby the store, so she ran into exchange. It really doesn't sit too well when you are at the register and a customer is telling the clerk what just happened on the first wear (and therefore all those waiting in line) after bending in her new J Crew jeans. They weren't too tight or anything unusual--I was actually surprised she was exchanging! Really makes me re-think buying their jeans moving forward. And I have bought A LOT of J Crew denim in the past with no complaints.
DeleteCurious if anyone else is confused about Madewell's decision to make a full-priced item A FINAL SALE? I contacted CS thinking it was a mistake and was told it was not and it is because it is a very popular item(Penfield stokes shirt). Don't understand this line of thinking.....anyone else understand it? If it is so popular, then it will just sell out
ReplyDeleteReceived the new flannel sleeping pants that came out this week. They are NOT of flannel material! Basically just thin cotton. Super disappointing and feeling very deceived!
ReplyDeleteDear J. Crew. Factory items shouldn't have leather listed by itself when the item is faux leather. The factory collarless dress coat with leather panel is "vegan" leather and should say so in the title; not just the description below.
