Sneak Peek: What's to Come this Spring & Summer {thanks Slastena!}

A big "thanks!" to Slastena (check out her "Spring Forward- colors on the way" post from her {amazing} About All and Nothing at All blog) who shared some more sneak peeks with us. {yey!} There is a little something for everyone in this batch of photos! Just click on any of the images to view them larger.
I love me some ballet flats. The bright hues are a definite win for this Spring & Summer!
I see J.Crew has really embraced the whole half-tucked-in-shirt-half-left-out look. I am not a fan. I have seen other fashion bloggers rocking this look (a lot) lately too. So this must be the next big styling trend. I will pass for now.
From what I can see, the dress looks super cute! I can't wait to see the print in person.

What are your thoughts? Has your opinion on the upcoming line changed? Are you looking forward to the upcoming new arrivals?

  1. I did get an email over the weekend from an online PS, stating that new arrivals would be online on 3/22 and that the new catalog should be in homes by 3/24.

  2. I feel like all the pics are taken with a hazey blue filter. Can I trust the color representation?

    1. I wouldn't Marisa, I bet this is heavily altered. Which is too bad because I really like the colors of the dress but it may be something completely different irl :(

    2. I don't like the photography. It's one thing to create a look and feel, but they are selling clothes and should present the merchandise more accurately.

  3. I love the striped skirt. Can't wait to see that one in person!

  5. I'm with Elaine, I don't see much that is "new" in these "new arrivals." They're fine, but I always reserve judgement these days until I see price points and item quality.

  6. I love colour, but I am not a fan of the 'half-tucked' look either.

  7. I like the dress. The length looks good, more wearable than the Jules dress.

  8. This is OT, but does anyone know what happened to the Villa dress in stripe? It was available in all sizes the other day, and now the product pages is completely gone. I was keeping my eye on that one :P

  9. Does anyone know what shoes are shown with the dress? Are those the Viv Flats in Leopard? TIA!

  10. pretty addicted, maybe they are fixing the discrepancy between the description that listed 'buttoned back' and the picture that showed the model wearing the dress with buttons in front? I posted about it HERE

  11. Curious about the dress. Looks like a reasonable length. I live in dresses in the Spring and Summer so I am hopeful, but, until I know price, fabric content and see it IRL, the jury is out.

  12. I LOVE the brown tee and green pant outfit (but I'd do totally different colors), in theory. However, J Crew pants are a total fail for me (legs always cut too big). Ah, well.

  13. The dress looks like a promising addition to my wardrobe. Like @JulieStyles, I live in dresses come Spring and summer. They are so much easier but I will reserve my judgements for IRL pics. I simply cannot trust JC's photos. And half tucked shirt = half-baked styling.

  14. I love the green pants, also...but I would sure never buy them, since it looks like they are linen. If I were so brave to wear them, I am sure I would be a rumpled mess by the end of the day, and that is just not fun. Since J.Crew seems to be interested in fabric blends more often today, I would like to see them them find a blend that feels and acts like linen, but doesn't lose it's shape and wrinkle...wouldn't that be nice?!

  15. I hope the dress is as cute IRL as it is on the model. :)

  16. These few shots do nothing for me. These look to hot. I'm tired of my spring items not getting much wear b/c it gets warm pretty quickly.
That dress has a crew neck? meh Long pants? No thank you. Capris and skirts for summer for me. I'm sure there will be SOMETHING to like, depending on the size of the roll out. ;D

  17. Are most B&Ms putting out new items tomorrow? Still haven't seen anything I want to use my rewards card on and time is ticking away...

  18. It's been a luckluster season for me...Nothing jumps out that I can feel excited about..I keep waiting every end of the month to see what the new month offers..can't wait to see what April has to offer.

  19. sue.bee, there are some new items being put out tomorrow, but not sure how many. I would guess new items that showed up online last weekend. My ps is watching for the new feather paisley skirt.

    2. Bought the feather paisley skirt at Madison Ave NYC store - as soon as I walked in, I scanned for new arrivals, saw it on the table and grabbed my size. Love it - the print, the fabric and the fit, though I have issues with pencil skirts bunching a little. I love the skirt so much that I'll deal with it and probably wear it with an untucked tee or tank/cardi combo. Didn't like how it looked with a tee tucked in but that's mainly due to being thick-waisted and tucking in shirts makes me look boxy.

    1. The website rolls out new collection every third Thursday of every month in the morning. So expect to see new items for the month of April release next week Thursday the 22nd.

  21. My issue so far this year is the color combinations. I always loved the quirky styling (I may be alone on that one) but the colors they've been putting together lately don't seem quirky and interesting. They just seem weird. The light blue sweater with the the striped skirt and then lime sandals? Huh? I really hate that dark maroon color they've been making so many things in and then showing it with bright green? Yuck.
