Seek & Find: Will you visit J.Crew this Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SPRING sale, or to see some new SUMMER arrivals {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!

  1. Most likely not this weekend, but waiting to read what others have seen/heard.

  2. I won't be visiting, but advance apologies if this has already been mentioned. It seems that the website has snuck in a few new arrivals. :)

  4. I will not be checking in at my local JC this weekend - still need to open my recent purchases and try on!! But will be reading to see what you are all picking up! Have a great weekend.

  5. PS I like how we don't have to make a post saying "sub" any more - just click on subscribe at the bottom of each post!

  6. I need to stay out of stores until I stop growling over JC math. OK, the Copywriter from Space doesn't speak English and never got help for her dyslexia, I accept that Dear Leader shows his infinite compassion by keeping her on. OK, noone at JC speaks French or Italian. I accept that noone at JC went to a high school that required at least 2 years of a language other than English to graduate. But simple math? The Factory Site opens with the statement "TODAY ONLY: ENJOY 20-40% OFF THE ENTIRE SITE." The usual "prices as marked" appears, as well as "details". Nowhere do I see: "um, not really - gotcha!" Nowhere does it say "select items only." I looked at a Girls' dress, marked down from $68 to $64. Let's see: 20% off $68 would be $54.40. Typo? unlikely, 2 dresses are priced like this. There are items with no markdown at all. Please understand, this is not differential calc. This is not solving an equation with 2 unknowns. Oh, wait, maybe in the Crewniverse far far away, it is?

    1. Ugh, I noticed that too. The prices are the same as they were yesterday!!!

    2. Actually, some of the prices are higher than they were yesterday. Example: the polka dot skirt (inexplicably called a maxi at 24.5" long) was $85 yesterday.... today it is $90. Grrr.

  7. WFF: Well said! I noticed the same thing regarding the factory pricing. Entire site means ENTIRE SITE, no?

I'm taking a trek to the outlet mall this weekend. The prices are always better AND I have the 20% off coupon.

  8. I won't be visiting. I am going to try to get a review of the hot shot dot dress up on my blog... and impatiently wait for my apple print bikini to get here!

  9. I *might* visit the outlet and see if there is anything I need to use that coupon on, but I noticed the order boxes sitting on my table and decided I should stay away from the website for a while :)

  10. I may stop at the factory store since I am going to be at that mall anyway, But I don't think I will be going to retail store. I just went on Tuesday and posted reviews of new arrivals on my blog HERE and HERE

  11. I just did returns on Wednesday, so I won't be going this weekend. I was told by the SA that new arrivals would be in store on Tuesday. I'm sure I'll find my way back to the mall next week!

  12. I went to the Utah Fashion Place store last night and it was pretty meh... not much had changed since the last time I went about two weeks ago.

TPTB really need to do some steeper markdowns or do a % off sale in-store... the same stuff has been sitting in the sale section for months, it seems like.

  13. I have a few returns to make, so I'll probably be heading to my b&m (the world's smallest!) this weekend. I bought a few dresses to wear to work, and I love the Emmaleigh in royal violet, so that is a keep. But, I also bought the Director dress in the same size, and it is huge, low cut, and has a really low waistline rendering it kind of frumpy. I'm also considering returning the Jardin skirt in pewter. It feels a little too dressy to be casual and too casual to be dressy and too whimsical to wear to work.

Its been in the 70*s here, so I'm hoping my store has finally cleared out the cashmere sweater section in favor of something newer.

  14. OT, but I was looking at a Talbot's catalog last night, and on the page where they had a bunch of pencil skirts, they were calling them the "No. 1 Pencil Skirts." If they're going to rip off J.Crew, they should try to be a little less obvious about it.

  15. Heading tonight to do some online returns and for a quick look around. I am also a little on fence on keeping some other items. I found the pencil skirt in citron more green than yellow and Natasha top in Watercolor floral is pretty but seems very long and petite not available.

  16. On vacation next week so might run in and check out some stuff. I don't purchase anything at JC if it's not on sale and I don't think there's much of a sale section right now so not expecting much.

  17. Lots of sale items at my B&M tonight.
Fabiola dress in abstract leopard- 119.99, No. 2 pencil skirt in medallion paisley 69.99 (it runs large), Perfect shirt in Medallion paisley, 59.99, Ripplestitch sweater in stripe 29.99 (But that is one heavy cotton sweater, lots of tees. No2 Pencil Skirts were on sale 89.50, Perfect Fit Tees, 29.50 Rainy Day Flats 39.50. I purchased the Fanfare cardigan for 39.99. Saw some of the new arrival dresses but nothing worth full price.

    1. What? The Fabiola is already on sale? That is crazy, can anybody confirm?
Anybody knows if the floral fresco cafe capris went on sale?

  18. @Ema, yes at my B&M last night. Park Meadows JC, Colorado. They had lots of sizes 00-12 I believe.

  19. I went to my B&M this morning. More in the sale section than earlier this week. Tried on the Jules dress in both the Ashbury and Fanfare prints. Liked the fanfare best but didn't buy. The Jules is not the most figure flattering but I would consider it if it were marked down more. Love the rugby dress in blue stripe. Does anyone have this? Does it shrink or stretch out when worn? I am debating on two sizes. Came home with the fanfare cardigan for $39.99. Cute and reminds me of the Jcrew of old. Just wish there was an extra % off!

  20. I still need to use my rewards card. I'm not that bad a procrastinator, I just haven't found anything I know I will love forever...

    1. Me too! You'd think they'd do more to get us to use them...

  21. @D*ska, I used my rewards card and returned the item and got a credit on JCrew card, others here told me I might get a gift card for the amount. Might be worth a try if there is nothing you love. Kinda sneaky but....

  22. I also really like the Jules dress in fanfare, but I'm waiting for another markdown with hopefully an extra % off. :) I finally tried on the spindrift sweatshirt and it was my favorite item - it came home with me in emerald. I tried on the linen baseball tee in a white/navy that I don't see online. It was very sheer, but comfy and flattering. On sale, I would buy this even though it needs a cami. I think popping a bright color underneath would be cute. I also tried on a striped knit with elbow length sleeves and tan embroidery around the neck. It is very low cut, but also flattering and a nice thick knit. However, it had a nice fat price, $75 I think. So no thanks. Lots of sale items - I noticed the medallion pencil skirt is now on sale athough I didn't look at the price.

  23. Saw the Fanfare jacket for 59.99, fanfare popover for 49.99 and fanfare tank for 14.99. Lots of jackies in neon azalea, mint green, purple for 39.99.

  24. I visited the concept store in Garden State Plaza (Paramus, NJ). Tons of stuff in the sale section - but they definitely need an extra % off promotion to sell the merchandise. Nothing terribly compelling that warranted a full-price purchase either.

  25. Sophie Celle, I have the rugby dress and I think it stretches out a bit but I haven't washed it yet.
