  1. Felted wool shift is finally on sale... still too expensive though, especially considering all that I've heard about fit issues. Orbit necklace marked down again, too. I am surprised this hasn't sold out, but then again, it is really flashy. Cute with the right outfit though!

  2. Wow, the double-serge cotton pencil skirt in Royal Violet got marked down! I jumped on that one fast.

  3. @AppGal: I snagged that one too! Pretty exciting stuff, although I do wish those skirts were lined.

  4. Don't forget, cashback at Ebates is 6%, which is VERY high for J.Crew!

    1. I am so psyched about this too! And so mad at myself that I let so many years go by w/o joining Ebates. Dumb dumb dumb. So glad I finally did though!

    2. I also got the Royal Violet double serge cotton pencil skirt and used Ebates! Thanks for the reminder!! I've wanted a purple pencil skirt for a long time!

  5. OK, that's not right. I ordered the heritage chinos last night even though the code didn't apply. Today's code is supposed to apply? I tried to order them again and did a dummy checkout... nope, the code doesn't apply to those pants. What gives?

    1. Never mind. Was told by a specialist that the code only applies to final sale items. Boooo.

  6. I went on double-serge overload...got the tipped hacking jacket, and the double-serge pencil skirt in viridian green! Great deals! I wonder if the b&m will have extra 30% off today and this weekend.

    1. Yay for fab deals! I've worn my double-serge items, esp. the skirts, more than anything else I own, even more than my jeans, lol. They'll never go out of style, so I consider them an investment. Hope you love them!

  7. Very happy to see the lower FS min!

My last hurrah from my bonus today, lol.

I had REALLY wanted one of those maraschino cherry schoolboy blazers, so I grabbed one this morning, yay! I hope it's not crap.

Also got a blue Factory maxi-check shirt (I have the pink retail one and love it) and a lagoon blue Natasha in an 8 petite, hoping it will fit just a tiny bit better than the regular Natasha sizing, which was loose on me at the bust / under the arms.

I would have also bought the cinnabar paisley bikini but the top I wanted was not available in my size. I need it like a hole in the head anyway. :P

My Viv flats and Valentinas in the same animal print are due for delivery today. I reeeeeeeeeeally hope they fit -- I'm a little worried they'll be too small. I'm between an 8.5 and a 9 and have skinny feet (only part of me that's skinny, urgh) and most of my JC shoes are a 9. I ordered both in a 9 --fingers crossed that they fit!

When I ordered them, I think the Valentinas were not marked as final sale but the Vivs were. We shall see.

    1. I had been eyeing that marachino cherry schoolboy blazer for ages! I thought it was very nice quality (I love the buttons especially) and did a little fitting room review here if you're curious: http://sewpetitegal.blogspot.com/2012/01/j-crew-fitting-room-reviews.html

    2. Oh happy day! Thank you for sharing that. I can't wait to receive it, hehehehe. A big size range was left, maybe yours is in there! :)

    3. I Loled at "I hope it's not crap." I have thought the same thing after so many final sale orders...

    4. lol. I couldn't remember which one *was* crap. I remember when one of the red wool jackets came out not long ago, everyone was like, 'ugh, it's crappy...!' Hope it isn't this one. I'm afraid to look. Hehehehe.

    5. Wish I'd seen them. I have the schoolboy in navy and want another color. I love mine. It's a cool weather item though because I find the wool to be quite warm.

  8. Toni oxfords and Evie oxford peep-toe pumps are now on sale.

  9. So many fast markdowns and extended 30% off promos. Could it be that J.Crew is finally having a reckoning with their high initial prices? I sure am buying less and I'm not even looking at the sale. Not at all interested.

  10. I haven't received my previous order yet, so I think I will pass on this one.

  11. I picked up the No. 2 in Royal Violet too. What to wear it with?

  12. I have been debating all day yesterday if ordering the double-serge in black and suck up the shipping or not (placed an order, then cancelled, then put the thing again in my cart). I was up when the promo switched to the $100 so I ordered it along with a dress on promo for my daughter. Love the lower shipping. I would have ordered the sunlit tank too but I didn't notice that it was on sale until this morning (guess I can wait on that one).

  13. I never buy final sale items no matter how much of a sale they're offering. It's not worth the risk if the piece doesn't fit. But, I was sold on the free shipping over $100. I love the Petite 1035 trouser in Super 120s. It's de rigueur for my work outfits. Got it petite size 4 black.

    1. oooh.. I was wondering about those pants. Are they lined?

    2. No, but the fabric is quite... what's the right word here? um, silky (in a structured way) so it's works OK for me.

  15. Just an FYI for you all. I was told by my PS that if the price on an item changes within fourteen days of purchase, they will credit you the amount of the change. Hope this helps!

  16. Still won't buy final sale. I don't even look anymore. Had good luck at the outlet store this week. Just now patiently waiting for final sale to hand in april hopefully

  17. Has anyone noticed that on the factory site, items are priced at one price on the main product page, but if you click on the item, the actual price is higher than what's listed? For example, the factory printed pencil skirt has "select colours" for $87.50 but is actually $92.50, $1.00 MORE than the REGULAR price! There is never any "select colours" and this is the case for so many items. Do they think we won't notice?

  18. The No. 2 is now on sale in Light Rose. That's the color I wanted to try so placed another order today. Didn't see much else added however.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I love the light rose No.2 skirt!! It hasn't been getting a lot of love out here but I think it is a perfect summer color- great with tanned legs :). So happy they added this to the sale!!

  20. Thanks for the post about the No.2 in light rose, purchased that color and black. I guess my Citron is going back since paid much more than $62.65. Love the fact that it was 30% off and not final sale. Not much else captured my eye but will keep checking back to see if more gets added over the weekend.

  21. Off topic, but Banana Republic has extended its exclusive Friends and Family offer to facebook fans. The coupon is good for 50% off 5 full-price items in stores or 30% off your online purchase with the code BRSAVE30. Enjoy. :)

    1. I think this code is on the Banana homepage as well. my favorite part is how the code applies to shoes!!
normally shoes and jewelry are excluded from all promotions. I was so excited, b/c their Ashley bow flats are adorable, and IMO comparable to Jcrew flats. So i bought two pairs :) :)

  22. I am so annoyed!! I ordered a swimsuit from J Crew and it doesn't fit quite right so I wanted to order the same suit in another size to compare the two since it is available online only. Now it's on final sale so I don't even have the option of buying another size to compare without getting stuck with two of the same swim suit!! Stupid J Crew, I'd rather pay more and not have it be on sale at all. This final sale crap is enough to make me shop somewhere else.

  23. Run Emma: I would suggest that you call J.Crew customer service and explain the situation. Tell them you would like to exchange for a different size, and ask that they make a note on the order stating that you are allowed to return the final sale swimsuit if it doesn't fit.

  24. Does anyone know if the no2 this year fits the same as last year or how it compares to the garden shade skirt?

    1. All these skirts fit similarly. I have a no. 2 in mauve from last year and it is identical to the no. 2 and the gardenshade floral from this year. I have photos of all these on my blog here.

  25. Everytime I take a look I find items
    -gone
    -price changed
-only certain colours for the sale promo
-items that have been around way too long
-2 maybe 5 at the most handbags
-swimsuits galore but if they are never in store who would know what size woold be perfect?
I just keep telling myself if I can't return it I can not buy it...I live in misery over this. Carolyn From Vancouver Ps if I have not mentioned it over and over 5-6 weeks until the Crew opens here!

  26. Starting to get really irritated about all the price fluctuations. Last week, the Factory Canvas Exhibitor bag was marked down to $88, but as soon as this promo was announced, the "sale" price went back up to $122 (which, if I may add, is only $6 off of the original price!). Also, items that were once marked down (Factory Thandie sweater, for example) are now back to regular price. Not cool.

  27. I like buying accessories on sale but JCrew accessories sale section is always lacking! The stores are a different story though :)

  28. I posted reviews of several items, including the pencil skirt in light rose and some other sale items in case somebody wants to pick them up before the end of the sale. Check it out HERE.
