J.Crew Email: You've earned a J.Crew Rewards Card

"Thanks!" to Em who let us know about an email sent to card members from J.Crew.

As mentioned in Monday's "J.Crew Rewards Card {around the corner!}" post, J.Crew is mailing out the Rewards Card to qualifying card members. The rewards card expires 12/15/09.
Also, "thanks!" to MissMasala who shared the following images of the most recent rewards card being sent. Click on any image above to view larger. :)

So if you are a card member, *check* your mail to see if you got your Rewards Card! :)

  1. My favorite part about getting this e-mail is that it came 4 days after I got the card and 2 days after I had already spent it! Well, hey, I guess it's better than not getting their e-mails at all...

  2. Does anyone know when to expect the next rollout?

  3. I got a call from an SA at my B&M telling me I got a rewards card, and she said that they would have new merch in the store on Monday. As far as when new stuff will be online... I have no idea.

  4. An SA called me too, the day it came in the mail. I was $1 away from the next level rewards card grrr! I haven't received this email *yet* but I always get mine later in the day.

I also heard that Monday 11/2 is the next B&M rollout.

  5. Good morning

Can someone tell me what "wishlist" means on Tip #3? Does it mean my scrawled in ink version? or is there a new option within J Crew? (crossing my fingers).

  6. I already got mine this Tuesday. Almost spent it yesterday for the shoes promo, but I'm going to wait till next roll out.

  7. I tried the jcrew.com/gifts link and it went straight to the home page. When I searched on gifts a page with 40 results came up. Likely they will have a gift suggestions feature soon as they do every year. It would be great if they would provide a wish list feature year round. Much better than putting things in and out of the cart.

  8. I just got mine and am thankful that it doesn't expire until 12/15. I'm hoping to use it for a coat and would love to combine it with a 20% off code. :)

  9. I agree- I'd love a wishlist feature like Anthro does- maybe even an email like Overstock when things come back in stock, instead of having to keep checking for a restock.

  10. I received my rewards card on Tuesday, and I'm saving it until the holiday function at the Collection store on Nov. 10.... 15% off plus rewards card = happiness!

  11. I too was just talking to friends about J Crew not having a "wishlist" or "save for later" box. I have about 20 items in my cart right now, and unless I win the lottery tonight I want to save some items for later, but can't do that currently on jcrew.com

Also, unless I've missed these items the past few days (don't think I did) new items are online. I noticed new colors and sweaters specifically in the cashmere section (ripple sweater and bisous sweater), but saw a few other items too online that are new (scallop ruffle sweater). Great items and colors! Enjoy...

  12. OT, but I was looking at the anthropologie website, and noticed this ring:http://www.anthropologie.com/anthro/catalog/productdetail.jsp?id=943450&catId=SHOPSALE-JEWELRY&pushId=SHOPSALE-JEWELRY&popId=SHOPSALE&sortProperties=+product.marketingPriority,-product.saleDate&navCount=145&navAction=top&fromCategoryPage=true&selectedProductSize=&selectedProductSize1=&color=070&colorName=GOLD&isSubcategory=&isProduct=true

Is it just me or does this ring remind someone of a J.Crew ring? I can't find it on the website-or am I thinking of the crystal cluster ring?

  13. Jenna Lyons also just earned a "reward" of her own according to the WSJ: "Jenna Lyons, creative director of J.Crew Group Inc., received a special bonus of $1 million this week, according to a filing made with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Ms. Lyons's design aesthetic has been credited for the recent success of the New York clothing company. Stronger-than-expected sales in October prompted J. Crew last week to nearly double its outlook for fiscal third-quarter earnings to between 54 and 59 cents a share, up from 30 to 33 cents a share. J. Crew's casual styles-embellished T-shirts, frilly blouses and chunky jewelry-have been widely copied in the mall apparel space.

The bonus is intended to keep Ms. Lyons at J. Crew for the next several years. The terms specify that she must repay the bonus in full if she leaves within two years or repay half of it if she leaves after that but within four years. The company declined to comment."

The bonus is intended to keep Lyons around? More ruffles and embellishments and less basics I guess (whoopdeedoo).

  14. I say ditch Jenna. I am sick of her terrible ideas for clothing. She has changed J.Crew's women's line into something that I don't like most of anymore.

  15. Rats on Parade: My sentiments exactly.

A million dollars bonus! JC should improve the quality of their holey tees and pilling sweaters before paying out such huge bonuses in this economy.

  16. "Lyons's design aesthetic",
they are kiddin', right?!! If it wasn't for the buzz and lot's of free marketing they got lately due to the First Lady wearing JCrew so often, I am confident there would be no jump in sales.

"Lyons's design aesthetic" just ads to a long list of why I shop less and less at JC

  17. Yes, I agree with the other posters concerning Ms. Lyons bonus. What a joke! Money could be better spent towards improving quality control!!!
