  1. I LOVE my Long Downtown Field Coat. Finally got to wear it for a few hours and it is perfect. It fits great, comfortable but flattering, the length is great on my 5'4" frame, and well made. It's "heritage" J. crew style and a big reason that I was really excited by the first early fall rollout.

  2. Received a Factory order earlier this week - shipped in a day! Loving all four items, too. The tiered sleeveless top (retail knockoff) - wore to an interview Tuesday with a blue-purple blazer, great necklace, black Marties, & my trusty black Valentina pumps. It's the perfect interview blouse. Wore the suede d'orsay tassel flats in cabernet yesterday. This is a great-looking shoe! Today I have on the printed henley blouse in raspberry floral (can't remember what the retail name was for this print) & have already received multiple compliments on it. I am not fond of florals in particular but this is so bold, I just love it. The final item in the order I have yet to wear but I know I'll get a lot of use out of it come winter - the cotton/wool v-neck cardi in heather olive. I have the same one in the retail version in black & it's hard to tell the difference in quality, in my opinion. It's very soft & I can't wait to pair it with blush, cream, navy, camel, etc., etc. Order was 100% success!

    1. +1 for the love on the tassel flats and the tiered top. The navy retail tiered top was in constant rotation for me all summer and I picked up the white factory one which is nearly identical quality to the retail one which is still languishing in the sale section for $70.

    2. Good to know, Anne! I never tried the retail tiered top. The one I bought was white as well - I had to layer a nude cami underneath but NBD. I saw you had the tassel flats in cerise - there weren't any available in my size in that colorway when I bought my pair or else I would have picked that color!

    3. Taylor, I still kind of want the burgundy tassel flats too! I thought I had talked myself out of them because I have the burgundy Sloan flats but I don't like the way the Sloans have worn (the toes are bent which is driving me crazy).

    4. Does the Factory version wrinkle badly? I love the retail version but both colors wrinkled SO easily just from wearing it.

    5. @Anne - I have the Sloans in green & mine have done that too. I wore them the other night to dinner & it was so distracting! (I do realize I was the only one noticing my shoes but... you know what I mean.)

@Lili316 - Mine was fine; I hung it right up after I got home from my interview & I won't have to iron it next time I want to wear it!

  3. I packed away a lot of my summer clothes over the weekend and started pulling out the fall clothes. I love that as I buy from J.Crew year over year the color palette translates throughout the years and I am able to match newer items with my old favorites!

  4. I love this year's field military jacket. Some people hate army jackets -- I can't get enough of them. If you're tired of your downtown field jacket, this one is wonderful, basically a high designer dupe. A good shape, long enough so it doesn't become boxy (I'm 5'7 and it hits me at low hip.) The hood rolls up into a cool zippered pocket that looks like a rose around your neck. I wish it had a lining, but it's otherwise a great fall jacket.

  5. I am wearing my collection calf hair d'orsays today for the first time to celebrate the first day of fall. I got my normal size 8 and they have been so comfy all day. I was afraid that they might rub my feet but they have been great. Very comfy and I am pleasantly surprised. Happy Fall everyone even though it is 89 degrees today where I live.

  6. Today I received the Collection off shoulder dress in green silk. Loved this dress when it was shown at NYFW. With Spring 2017 showing a continuation of the off shoulder trend, I'm even happier to have it; plus, it's in one of my favorite colors that isn't often available. I ordered the 6 & I'm certain I could wear a 4. I'm NOT either one of those sizes so definitely runs big. The fabric is a cotton silk blend. Description is misleading because it's only 30% silk. Love the curve hem detail and the fact that it can be worn on or off shoulder. This is a kelly green so definitely feels "springy" & while the fabric description is misleading, cotton/silk blend makes this dress more versatile. I'm going to wear it as styled with the gingham ankle wrap sandals. It's on sale, so definitely recommend if you're interested.

    1. That color green is an absolute favorite on mine too! You're right - it isn't often available - I hope to see more of it!
