  1. My shoe dream came true today. I was able to order the paisley printed leather heels on sale less 40% off, 15% bounce back and free shipping. I would try to get them at the clearance store but there is a lady that lives down the street from the clearance store, comes up about 3 to 4 times per day, buys up all the good stuff and then resells it on Ebay, so I don't think my chances would be good over there for these shoes. Happy to get them for a pretty good price.

    1. Three to four times a day?!?! I'd love to know what her net $$ is... I know the SAs there hate the re-sellers but as long as they're staying under the $500 transaction min, what can they do? So annoying. In any event I'm glad you scored those beautiful shoes! That's a good price.

    2. Wow, that's a great price! Did you order them through a store? I actually ordered them last week so I'm excited that I should get a price adjustment I haven't received them but I hope they fit. :)

    3. What is this 15% bounce back you mention, DD?

    4. I ordered them through a store to get the better pricing. Also, they said this lady quit her full time job and is actually making a living off of this. Her name is Debbie (heard them call her by name)and she lives in a neighborhood right down the street. I saw her pull in one day and recognized her. I know, creepy. They said there is nothing they can do.

    5. It is a 15% discount card they gave me in store when I returned an online order that is good in store on my next purchase. If you know an SA at a store that you could ask about it, I think they would give you one. I have used the one I have about 10 times, they keep giving it back to me. It is good until the end of the year.

    6. Awesome deal-congrats! My store never handed out the coupon for my online returns; bummer.

    7. I have never heard of the 15% discount card....and I return online orders all the time..
OT ...as for Debbie the Jcrew clearence Centre ebayer...I never buy off ebay as the prices always seem to high and canadian shipping is expensive. Also I would not mind the line through the shoes (J Crew ) or the line through the tag...but only if I purchased it....people making alot of money off this kind of bothers me...but to each his or hers own .

    8. Crazy that the reseller can make a living off of it, too bad the clearance centre can't do anything.
Re: the 15% off card, I received one a couple of weeks ago but was told it can't be combined with any other promos in the store. I wish stores would be consistent. :)

    9. can you return to the clearence centre ? i would assume ...no? wonder what Debbie does with the items she doesn't sell ??? I am not a fan of this kind of business.

    10. @Unknown - the clearance center does NOT accept returns (at least the one in Lynchburg does not). I have said it before but no matter how badly I want an item, if it's from a seller who has 100s of items in all different sizes with the tale-tell (tell-tale?) black mark through the tag, local to me or local to Asheville, I REFUSE to buy from them. That is not the intent of the clearance stores! Maybe it burns me up more in particular because I know how cheap you can get some of that stuff if you go on the right day & to see how much they mark it up... it's infuriating.

    11. They do not take returns at the Arden store either. Now, they won't even hold anything for even one day because this lady complained that stuff was being held for people and she didn't feel like everyone was being treated the same. This is ridiculous. I can't go over there 4 times per day. Even if you call that morning, they can only tell you if they have it but they can't set it back until you get there because of her. I am going to go this Saturday morning. I will be there at 9:45 am to beat her in the door and I will give her a big "stink eye" from all of us!!!!!!! I can't believe J.Crew would change their entire hold policy for one customer that they know is coming in there and buying up stuff to resell. When she complained, I would have told her not to come back because they got complaints on her. Oh my gosh, makes me so furious.

    12. @DD I can't blame you, I am too on your behalf! She needs to go get a real job like the rest of us, I'm sorry I'm not sorry. I suppose the argument could be made that since it's not illegal or against store policy, she has every right to do what she's doing since she's apparently making good money off of it but it is NOT right nor is it ethical. Bleh.

    13. I can see how annoying this is. And yes, there is quite often a significant mark up on eBay. Prices at the clearance store are sooo good as I know from my visit to the Lynchburg clearance store earlier this year.
On the other hand, if you're not living close to one of the clearance stores, eBay is a great place to find that sold out item. I have found some great deals and great sellers (not Debby obviously) there.

  2. Your headline says free shipping today and I swear I saw that this morning on their site, but now their is no free shipping. Did anyone get free shipping earlier today? So strange...

    1. Lauren - there was definitely free shipping on any order earlier this morning. Too bad they changed it back to the $150 free ship minimum. I am much more likely to place an order (or two) when there is free shipping, and I'm sure there are many others who feel the same way.

    2. Contacted CS about this, they claimed or alleged it was a glitch and it was only available on Monday ;(

    3. I saw this morning that it said free shipping as well but the promo still had the code Monday. I think they just hadn't switched the header to show the new Tuesday promotion yet.

    4. I saw free shipping, but the Tuesday promo didn't show anywhere on the website until about 10 this morning.

  3. This is completely OT but I wanted to share- I ordered the Rhodes Blazer in the hot pink color from Nordstrom (great experience) and now JC has the jacket on sale. I emailed Nordstrom and they credited me the amount! So I got the size I needed (2P) and the sale price. I am over the moon happy!

  5. I wonder what Wednesday promo will be?

  6. Reposting here bc I got the wrong thread earlier!

Posted a review of the duffle coat in plaid on my Insta @sartorialchoices - included in the promo today. Size down one if you're petite.
Also, if you're thinking about the navy or blush pink peacoat (not the majesty, but the other): the pink is as pictured. Still more of a duller pink being in double cloth. Piping is nice. Though it's not piped on the little cuff straps, which makes no sense (like an incomplete painting). Fits true to size.

  7. The new promo is 30% off your entire order with code WEDNESDAY at checkout. Right now shipping is free on all orders, too. There is also a small section in final sale with items eligible for 50% off.
