    1. Hi - Someone asked a similar question in the last few weeks on the help style me post - I think pale pink works, or candy apple red was suggested as well. I paired it with the bright pink ruffle Tippi when I tried on the skirt on my blog - you can see the two together here. It was a lot of pink but the neutral shoes I had balanced it out a bit. I think cream/light camel is a pretty pairing as well.

  2. I think this is a great promo -- why play games with this daily promo business, just give us this! I placed an order on Monday for sale items. I was debating the CHATEAU PARKA yesterday but couldn't decide. I mostly wear the LADY DAY COAT -- any sizing advice? Reviews say it runs large and size down. Do others take their typical blazer size in the CHATEAU PARKA? I typically take one size up from my blazer size in the LADY DAY. TIA

    1. I have 2 of the Chateau Parkas (just ordered a 3rd!) and it definitely runs big. For reference I am a 6P in blazers, and I took a 4P in the Chateau. It is a great coat, you will love it!

  3. Ordered the petite Club collar gingham shirt in cabarnet, the petite crop jeans in Rhodes wash, and a Crewcuts navy tee w gold eyes, for my goober.

I ordered the jeans after seeing it modeled by a couple Crew employees, online. It looks cool with the unfinished hem. Hope it fits me!

Both are waitlisted..shirt 10/4, jeans 11/3. I'm ok with waiting.

    1. I would have never looked twice at those jeans had they not had their employees model them like that - what a great idea. All three of those ladies looked great in them! I hope they work for you!

    2. I have the demi boot crop jeans in Brookdale wash - haven't worn them yet but I like them a lot!

On topic, I have the grey V-neck swing sweater in my cart and I'm thinking about trying the long field jacket. Love the free shipping, makes me so much more likely to place an order.

    3. @Anne, I received my grey v-neck swing sweater yesterday. I ended up ordering it in a large & the sleeves are a little big. That's ok though, I can layer under it that way with no problem. I didn't find it really "swingy" (I know you tried it already as well) unlike the swing sweaters of J Crew past but it's still a good cold-weather staple, especially in the grey!

    4. @Taylor I agree, it isn't very swingy. But I think that's why I liked it!

  5. So mad! I've been waiting for the pumps in snakeskin-printed leather to get under $200, but now they're final sale and online only. There are no reviews, and I'm between sizes. >:-[

    1. Wanted to follow up that I live chatted with customer service about my dilemma, and they granted me an exception to final sale so I have two sizes coming my way. Hooray!

  6. I agree, this is a great promo, just give us three or four days to decide what to buy, lol. At least there is free shipping so no need to place one big order. The sailor mini skirt has been excluded from promos so far but it is included today, so I got it even if the temperatures are still too high to wear double serge wool here (in case you haven't seen it IRL, it is very substantial). Thinking about a few more things but not sure if I will pull the trigger as they are expensive even after promo.

  7. I ordered the DISTRESSED LOOKOUT HIGH-RISE JEAN IN TRUE BLACK. Will be interested to see if the rips hit right at the knee, whether they're stretchy and fit well, etc.

  8. I have been trying to do a no shop September and this promo is the most tempting yet! Other than 3 purchases using rewards (and a net out of pocket of less than $10 total) from Macy's, Marshalls and Old Navy I have stayed strong. I over spent in August & property taxes on "Tara" are due next month so I may continue the shopping boycott into Octobet as well. Baah!

  9. I ordered the Billie crop jeans in black. I was happy to read in the reviews that they are not as flared as they look on the model. For &65 and free shipping, I gave them a shot.

My shopping and spending is way down at J. Crew. Nothing has really interested me in a while.

    1. I really like mine! I actually sized down, which I believe I posted here. Both sizes fit but I felt my usual size would bunch up more. I wore them last weekend and they felt great.

    2. I couldn't decide whether to size down or not. 25 seemed really small. I'm wondering if I should just grab another size while it's free shipping.

    3. Depends on your proportions of course. I'm almost always a 25 but have a small waist and proportional hips. The 24 fit smoother. With free shipping and not final sale I'd try two sizes. They do stretch a bit

  10. OT - Random video of Jenna Lyons: In the Bag | video shot by British Vogue.

Notice how she paired a pink Drakes pajama top with camo pants. :-)
