This is a decent sale. That pretty much sums it up for me. ;)

  3. I ordered the Chateau Trench coat with the 30% off the other day, so I'm still waiting patiently for it to ship. There are several sale items I'm interested in, but continue to hold off for now in hopes of a deeper discount. I continue to miss the morning update and lotus pavé earrings, so if someone sees them in the store, please let me know. I'd love to catch them at the sale price + extra % off. :)

    1. I ordered one as well during the same sale, mine shipped yesterday so I'm hoping yours does soon as well, Melissa. (I was only able to try this item in Regular, ordered the Petite and hoping it's a match!) In any case, I'll keep an eye for your earrings!! I happened to be in a store this past weekend, but didn't see them there. Plan to go to a different store later this week and will check there as well. Fingers crossed on your behalf!

    2. Thank you so much TM93...I really appreciate it! What color of the trench did you get? I was going to try both, but when I went to check out, only the barley was left in my size. If I like it as much as I think I'm going to though, I will probably try to catch it on popback in the fiery sunset, too. :)

    3. Melissa -- I ordered the trench in the Fiery Sunset color, even though the one I really wanted was the barley one! But it was sold out in my color. I tried the Barley in-store in Regular 00 and it fit body-wise, but the sleeves and length were too long so I'm hoping the Petite 00 fits similarly, without the extra length issues. (I think I remember from your blog that you take smaller sizes and if this Fiery Sunset doesn't work on me, I can perhaps ask the store where I return it to hold it for you, just lemme know!) I bet we will both love our coats though!

    4. Do you let me know what you think of the color in person, TM93. I imagine it is similar to the various iterations of bright orange/red that J.Crew has offered over the years. Thank you for the offer to have the store hold it for me if you decide to return, but I need the size 2 regular, possibly a 4 if it runs as small as others have suggested it does.

    5. Will do, Melissa! I tried the Winter Chateau coat in the same size as I did the trench and found the fit to be the same, but will report back my findings. Colors like the Fiery Sunset don't usually work with my coloring which is why I'm not terribly optimistic, but we'll see.

Can't wait to hear your thoughts on this coat!

  4. No final sale has made me a little more inclined to pull the trigger on trying items. I ordered the black cropped wool flannel pants in two sizes (I have the navy and love them but feel like they've been a tad big...), the slim cargo pants in coal grey which may or may not be a total disaster on me and the chateau trench in barley popped back in my size so I picked that up with the 25% off. The chateau trench is the only thing I know I'll keep but the others were worth a try.

    2. @Julie me too...reviews are all over the place but for $21 I'll give them a shot. I really want to find some non-denim casual pants and I've been failing miserably at the chino/khaki venture.

    3. Anne. Which cropped wool pant are you talking about the pull on or the wide leg wiith the tie belt top. If it is is pull on you are talking about, is the blue a really dark Jcrew navy? I've been considering the both the crops in the wool flannel and now that they are marked down I may order.

    4. @ShoppingCelle they're the ones from this past winter - zip fly, elastic back of the waist. The navy ones are not dark navy - style number is e6891 Cropped Pant in Wool Flannel. The black were sold out almost all season so now I can give them a try! I considered the tie waist ones too but I think they'd be too busy at the waist for my liking. HTH!

    5. Thanks Anne. Those were the ones I was thinking of ordering but sadly didn't order yesterday waiting on other things to popback. Then they would have netted $70 ish and today there are up to full price again with no promo. These pricing games are driving me crazy!

  5. I believe regular sz 00 is the same measurement as petite sz 0 everywhere except sleeve length and back length.

    1. Thank you, peis! Customer service gave me the measurements and I believe you're right. That's the petite size I wanted but it was sold out so I decided to try the P00. Fingers crossed, but I'm skeptical.

    2. TM93 - the Chateau Trench in barley is back online in P0 this morning. Is that the size you were looking for? I was able to order the fiery sunset in my size this morning, so I'll be able to give it a try after all. :)

    3. Just ordered it, thanks to you and a post from Gigi!! I'm so glad you found your fiery sunset as well! We must compare notes after we receive ours -- would love to know what you think! Thanks, Melissa!

  7. Posted under reviews but I'll post here too, since some of the items are from sale.

    http://wearthislikethis.blogspot.com/2016/03/black-lace-and-scattered-daisies.html

Got a delivery today which included the pull on pants in black lace, the NEW Campbell blazer in scattered daisy, among a few other items. Pics and info on the blog, above, as well as on IG.

Not shown yet—faux leather pleated mini skirt in black, which I've been thinking about since it first came out (LOVE) and the military trench which I began coveting after I saw the new washed trench (the tan doesn't work for me but the green does).

  9. Stopped I to the store for the walk of shame (again! But this time it's almost all items I ordered in a different size) and tried on a few things and made a purchase.

Striped fringe scarf in ivory black--but--in store it was 30% off and online 50% off. Even though I told the associate she said it wasn't, so here I am on hold waiting for an adjustmenT.

Ruffled button up shirt in end on end cotton--I don't usually wear this "true blue" color, I would usually opt for a white button down, but the color is really flattering and essentially a neutral. I took a 2 which is my usual size in button down cotton shirts.i also think the blue might look great under the Campbell scattered daisy blazer.

I keep thinking about my lace pants and I was almost going to return them but I need to try them with a few more things. Yes, I know I'm crazy.

I tried on a few pairs of pants, none worked.
Weekend pant—these ran really small on me. The 0 fit but to get a slouchy fit I'd need to size up, but I didn't bother trying.
Chino? Not sure which kind they were, I'm assuming the Sunday slim chino. Also the 0 fit but ran really small or the cut wasn't for me.

I also tried on the chino with the sequin stripe from the sale section in a 00. These fit but for the look I'd want I'd need to size up.

I don't understand the pant sizing. I am almost always a 25 in jeans yet in the past year I've gotten pants in 00-0 and in some I didn't get I'd need to buy a 2.

    1. Thanks for all the reviews, Suz! We wear similar sizes, so I really appreciate all the information you share!

As for the walk of shame, I can remember feeling that way years ago when I lived near a store and would take in all of my returns. Then one day I decided that I would not let the associates make me feel bad since so many of the items I received had sizing issues, and were misrepresented on the J.Crew website, leaving me no choice but to return them. It is simply not your fault that so many of their items have quality and sizing issues. :)

    2. No one at my store EVER makes me feel bad for my returns. It's just me!

    3. Don't make yourself feel bad...it's not your fault! :)
