  1. I bit on this one, for a few reasons. Several of the items I've been interested in became available and I'm going to have to do some preliminary purchasing of online only items before they become final sale. Ordered the military trench which popped back in what may be my size (if it runs large as I've read).

  9. Probably to give the patio pants a try - the solid colors came down $10 plus 20% nets a reasonable price. There is only review which indicates that the pants stretch out during the day -- would anyone else chime in with their experience? and sizing advice. TIA

    1. The older colors, including black and navy, are marked down to $25. I tried the black on before Christmas and it wasn't right for what I wanted, but for that price I ordered again thinking the cotton will work with a painter tee. Someone posted last week I think that they did stretch out (even the new ones) so I sized down.

    2. There is one listing on the site where there are a lot of reviews on the patio pant. I ordered my usual size and wore them to Hawaii. The weight of the fabric is perfect for warm weather, BUT, they were a complete bagged out mess by the time I stepped off the plane. So, JCrew CS reached out and offered to take them back and I ordered the next size down. I tried them on, they seem to fit OK, but I haven't worn them for a full day to determine yet was the stretch problem might be. To be honest, I'm kind of side-eyeing JCrew's bistretch cotton. But for $25 it's worth a shot.

  10. I would also like to know if anyone has tried the Teddie navy wool sailor pant. I just placed an order for the last pair in my size so I am hoping they will fit. Some reviewers said they run small. I think they are really cute. My father was in the navy and he always loved when I wore sailor type pants. Sort of gives me a little smile since he is no longer here.

    1. I saw them in store but didn't try them on. I wish the regular colors were the same fabric, it's really nice.

    2. I tried them on when they first came out. I found the fit was pretty true to size, but they did sit really low on my hips. I'm tall (5'10"), so they were a bit short on me and I didn't like the way they looked on my legs. The fabric is very nice, thick without being too heavy.

    3. DD, that's so sweet. I hope they work for you. :)

    4. Thanks ladies, fingers crossed as I can see these being a great transitional pant if they work out.

    6. Sorry, I didn't look at this post yesterday. I tried 4 pairs before finding the right one. First tried a 0 and find them a bit on the small side, then tried a 2 (in store) and they were unflatteringly big. Ordered a 0 during promo and they were so small I could barely button them (and I looked squeezed in them). Returned. Went to the store yesterday to try a 2 but they were out of the size so I tried a 0 again and these magically fit well. The inseam is very short though (shorter than patios on me), I am barely 5'4" and I am not sure I can wear them with the booties I was trying them with. HTH!

    7. Oh my word...Sounds like it will just be a stroke of luck of these fit me. I will post back when they arrive.

  11. So what are we going to do with all those Sophia Webster "Eva" pumps in bronzed brown? They've been on sale for over a year (currently 50% off) and there is still a full size run. Oy...

    1. Maybe they can sell them in a bundle with the 2015 pocket date book, which was still in the sale section last time I looked.

  13. I bought a few things because I missed last week's 25% off and need new work clothes. Got the Flutter Sleeve top in pink and pine. I tried it on in the store and the v-neck is perfect where it lies. Plus, machine washable. Got the ruffled button up and cotton jackie in navy stripe too. I tried it in the store also and covers up any post-baby bump I have.

  14. With free shipping decided to go ahead & order a couple of items. I missed out on linen maxi halter dress in white last summer. It popped back in a medium & hoping it works for a couple of summer trips overseas. Also ordered midweight striped boatneck tee in red/ivory. Finally received the last batch of online orders from sale. Was stalking the green excursion vest and it finally popped back in my size. Fit is tts in medium & happy with it, but disappointed it doesn't have the french blue trim around the pocket area. Picture was wrong :(. Also, received patchwork slim Sunday chino in warm sage; similar to the lamppost patchwork chinos that I also like. I'm happy with these for casual wear and travel. The collection silk tie dye shirt is a keeper; nice color scheme and fit is tts. Top is very versatile and love the details like back center pleat and abalone pearl buttons. Looks like Vince at a fraction of the price. Highly recommend. Works with skinny jeans, denim shorts and silk shorts. Can also dress up and pair with Collection A-line wool skirt in brunswick blue, perforated eyelet midi skirt in burgundy and collection perforated leather pants in navy. Was so excited I tried it on with all of these JC choices. This description is also wrong in that shirt doesn't have chest pockets. In this case I'm actually happy the description was wrong...so guess JC and I are even :).

    1. I never saw that silk tie dye shirt. As a matter of fact, it doesn't even show up in collection for me, I needed to search the name. It's beautiful!

    2. I agree that it's a great print. I originally wishlisted the skirt, but when I saw the top on the SA, I changed my mind. Shirt fits nicely into staples I already have in my closet and my personal style.
