Sought & Found: Did you visit J.Crew this {past} Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store was/ is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

  1. The new promo is SHOPMORE for 25% off thru Tuesday. Also good in-store. Looks like some of the same items are still excluded. I can't tell because I keep getting an error message each time I try to log in or add something to my cart.

    1. I'm having issues with my cart too. I was going to order the wide leg ponte pants based on your review but see that they are still excluded. Will hold out until they are included...

    2. Luxette - If you're on the regular price wide-leg pants, there's no promo info. If you click on petite, the 25% SHOPMORE shows under the regular price & petite. It would be worth it to call and ask for the price to be applied. If the rep pulls it up and sees the same thing, they would likely honor it.

    3. @Luxette, I'd love to hear what they tell you if you do decide to order this item because I had a similar experience once. For a long time I wanted the Campbell Houndstooth blazer, but sale only applied to the Regular version, which quickly sold out. Petite wasn't eligible for the sale and when I asked Customer Service, she confirmed that that was intentional. This was around the Christmas holidays and the Petite version ONLY went on sale for the first time last week! (It is now sold out in my size, but I don't even want it at this point.) Curious to hear what happens, if you don't mind sharing.

    4. I'd be curious to happen as well. The tuxedo plaid Campbell had the same issue. Regular on sale, petite not and they insisted that it was meant to be that way. Ann Taylor & Loft put separate sizes on sale, AT in particular. J. Crew isn't like that so I think it's a coding/website glitch when it happens on their site.

    5. Just called CS to order the ponte pant and apply the 25% discount and was told only the petite was eligible.

    6. Now today if you try to buy either the Regular or the Petite, you'll get a message saying that they're both excluded from the Promo! They have so many hiccups on their site that it's hard to tell when something is deliberate and when it's a glitch. (Pricing the same item in different builds seems so rare for them, though, which is why I do agree that it must be an error when they're priced differently.)

  2. I hope everyone had a good weekend. I'm not a spring forward fan, but this year doesn't feel so bad.

I went to Factory & a retail store over the weekend. Review here of the gingham Tippi in caravan blue & the pink/oatmeal deck-striped t-shirt.

    1. Thanks for your review Gigi. I'm wondering if that Gingham Tippi in Caravan Blue would be the same shade as the collection wide leg cropped pant in caravan blue from the runway Fall 2014. I love those pants but always have struggled with the color and styling them.

    2. Shopping Celle - Sounds like the caravan blue would be the same as your pants. Note that the blue is hand-stamped, so while the color vibrant it has white through parts of it.

  3. With yesterday's 30% off and my rewards cards I ordered the Campbell blazer in scattered daisy. I like the print (I'm not huge floral person but love geometrics and the daisy is sort of a cross between the two). No idea how the fabric or color will be. Mustard could be pretty horrible and I don't even wear tan because it washes me out, but I'm hoping it's more of a gold that would work with dark gray, black, chambray and white. (It's online only and no reviews as of yet!)

  4. After seeing Gigi's review, decided to order striped strappy sandals. Also, picked up the long sleeve multicolored tweed dress with fringe. It's a really nice work dress & for $60 I'm willing to take a chance on the fabric. I was able to have the SA pull a dress from the back since the one on the floor in my size already had a couple of pulls. I did size up. Both fablifeforever & tweedandtwoile have shown this one on their IGs.

    1. Mygoddy - Shoe twins! NI tried that dress on the other day. I agree on sizing up. I liked the fabric. Good one for that price!

    2. Yeah! Great twinning with u! Agree it's a good dress; was a little skeptical about facdic initially. It will be my OOTD tomorrow since it's Spring like here.

    3. Curious as to how the long sleeve tweed dress is $60. It is $105 on line w/ the % off. I would be willing to bite at $60.

    4. @JessF, 30% off sale was final sale in store. So, I asked the manager to match online which was 50% off final sale. Explained it didn't make any sense to get 30% off final sale in store when final sale was 50% off online. Also wouldn't make sense to purchase an item final sale in store when I could pay the same price (30% off sale) online & item wouldn't be final sale. He agreed. Was also able to stack educator discount. Hope that helps.

    5. Thanks mygoddy. Makes sense but I don't live very close to a store and don't get there super often. I will keep this in mind for next time I go. Enjoy the dress! I have the blue tweed fringe dress and love the fit after sizing up.

    6. While I haven't done it since we have multiple stores where I live, you might be able to work with a VPS on situations like this. The blue looks like a very good choice for spring. Glad it's worked for you.
