This sale event won't last long...24 hours only. Shop now.

"Thanks!" to  many of you, who shared the following email & promotion from J.Crew.

J.Crew is offering an additional 25% off select styles with promotional code TIMETOSHOP. This offer expires tonight. The fine print includes:

*25% discount valid on the purchase of select full-price items in J.Crew stores and at jcrew.com on February 8, 2016, 12:01am ET through 11:59pm ET. In-store discount as advertised. Valid online on items marked "25% off with code TIMETOSHOP." Not valid in the 769 Madison Avenue, Brookfield Place, Liquor Store, Ludlow Shops, J.Crew Factory or J.Crew Mercantile stores; at jcrewfactory.com; or on phone orders. Cannot be applied to previous purchases or the purchase of gift cards and cannot be redeemed for cash or combined with any other offer. In-store discount taken at the register. To redeem online, enter TIMETOSHOP in the promo code box at checkout. Limit one code per order. Valid in the U.S. and Canada only. Terms are subject to change.
This is an alright promotion. Nothing too exciting. And I am surprised there is no additional percent off sale. Oh well!

Will you be taking advantage of this promotion? If so, please share!

  1. i did bite because all 3 things i wanted were included... i still haven't gotten my rewards card but CS said i can apply it to this purchase when i do finally get it... i think they're going to give me a hard time about it actually, but i'll figure something out... i'm otherwise basically done with JC for a while.

    1. By any chance, did they mention when we can expect to receive the cards? I don't recall it ever taking this long before.

    3. I feel like they will. CS sent me a giftcard for an issue involving shipping and I was set to receive it that day, but the item I wanted to buy was limited and Final Sale, so I asked the customer service agent if I would be able to apply it when I received it and she was super friendly and said it would be no problem. When I called back to apply it, the agent I spoke to gave me a huge lecture and made me feel like a leper, though I had asked in advance. She was like this is an expense to JCrew to have to refund you this money, you should use your gift cards towards future purchases. I let her know the only reason I had one was for a customer service issue and that this wasn't something I typically did, but she did not care. She applied it, but I definitely had to sit through the "bad customer" routine.

    4. I feel a little embarrassed for caving to the sale, but I was glad to try the chinos on sale. First non-capri casual spring pants I remember seeing and wanting in awhile. I've been keeping an old pair of taupe Belmarin pants (anyone remember those?) on life support for awhile. I got the chinos in honey brown and the lighter blue shade.

  2. I went ahead and ordered the mirrored floral Teddies - 25% isn't bad for a new arrival, and a few sizes have already sold out. I'm wearing the regular stretch cotton Teddies in golden brandy today, and I really like them.

  3. I think they are experimenting. no % off sale section....and 25% off new stuff...if they can get us to buy now instead of these items eventually ending up in the sale section at a further discount they will be ahead. I usually only buy sale and with 30 or 40 % off. Being Canadian this is still more than the US customer pays. only I have not bought any bags or jewelery in a long time. I wish they would get someone new in these depts. C

    3. The last promo where it looked like there was no percentage off sale, the 25% of new items actually worked on sale. By the time I noticed it it seemed like old news, so I didn't comment here. I just experimented with an item in my cart 25% is still way too low for a Final Sale item for me.

    4. I am in the US and their is no extra percentage off sale except for some select items that are marked 40% off final sale.

    5. Yes, I have two items in my cart (aka, the new Wishlist) both final sale and one is 40% off while the other one is 0 off. Bah!

  4. Looking for some price adjustment advice - I had a gift card and bit on a full price silk clip dot top in order to get free shipping on the gingham excursion vest on promo last week. It's been 5 days since the order. I never buy full price because of the promos they always run but they sent me a stupid low stock email (obviously not the case) and I panicked. Do you think they'll PA even though the promo says not applied to previous purchases? Should I email or call, and what should I say? I've only done this with an in store purchase that went from FP to clearance within the week I bought it. TIA!

    1. Yes, they'll price adjust. Your call on email vs phone-I prefer email, and they are usu quick to respond.

    2. Yes they'll definitely price adjust. I recently communicated with them via email about an order and they told me that they'd do a price adjustment within 7 days of the order. Just email them and that the new promo is within 7 days of the order and that you would like them to credit you the 25%.

  5. I think this is a pretty good sale - reasonable amount of stuff included in the 25% off but I hate one day sales.

  6. Currently we're in the 'economy' class of promos and sales. The company might call it coach but we all know that it's basically the seat next to the bathroom on the plane. Exactly what none of us wanted.

Hopefully something better will show up; if not our patience will most likely be rewarded with a better sale in the future.
