Sought & Found: Did you visit J.Crew this {past} Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store was/ is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

  2. I made the trek an hour West to hit up the clearance store Friday morning. They had very few shoes out which I was surprised by; I can only think of maybe one other time I left sans new shoes. I did, however, buy two pairs of cotton Martie pants, another pair of the Lookouts in Resin wash, a random sweater, & a pair of Factory Addison chinos. Totalled $92.

DD, I saw your comment on the last post - you scored WAY better on your trip than I did!

BTW - if anyone is looking for a white linen blazer, Regent or Schoolboy, the Lynchburg clearance store has like 80 of them in various sizes.

    1. Sometimes this can be a bad time of year to visit the clearance store (in between seasons) so I was sort of shocked myself at the good fortune of finding four things I had really really wanted and then finding other stuff that I just liked and bought. Taylor, I always feel like people have better luck at the Lynchburg store because it is bigger but maybe not. Also, I kept the Rayner chinos and wore them today with a navy stripe boat neck tee, navy schoolboy blazer and tortoise collins loafers. I have already gotten 3 compliments on how cute I look today. So I guess they look better than I first thought and they are super comfortable, so keepers after all.

    2. That sounds like a great outfit! I love a Schoolboy + loafers, such a classic look. I don't think they had any Rayners for me to try. I have noticed that the size 10-12 / Larges at the Lynchburg store are minimal. There's a MUCH wider selection if you're a smaller size, which I guess is reflective of JC's customer base? I just had that thought on Friday which I find to be kind of interesting. More items in smaller sizes = more online returns in smaller sizes. So either the size 10-12 ladies keep their stuff, or we buy less to begin with. They probably had 4x the number of pairs of pants in a size 6 than in a size 10.

  3. I went to two stores...Neither had my size in the deco floral popover shirt..plus they put clearance down to 30 off this weekend when it had been 40 prior...i did experience some good customer service though. I ended up buying a striped thick top black and white with zippers on the wrists...this was Sat. I noticed they had all 30 off clearance signs but had a 40 off left up so i asked the sales girl if she would honor it since it was still up and she said yes and then she also honored my student/teacher discount even though i had left my id at home by mistake...so excellent customer service. Kudos to them for that.

  4. went to the georgetown DC store...things were thrown around in the sale section, messy in the regular priced section, and all changing rooms were locked and not one sales associate to be seen (pause here and remember when they used to take your clothes to the changing room as you were browsing ha!). Went in after a girl left her room and tried on the 120s vneck peplum made me look like a linebacker the way it's cut on the shoulders. Walked out with nothing, went to Club Monaco across the street and got a pretty shirt and tshirt.

    3. Gap has three different denim washes and white. $69.95 Canadian. J Crew denim has never fit me right. Gap is always easy for me . I know my size and they usually have a promo on. Its worth a try for me. Plus I don't get the evil eye returning to them...

  9. I would recommend these party venues to anyone who is looking for a great spot or place to go and attend an event while eating and trying lesser known things. Prices are very reasonable and the staff is great!
