J.Crew Updates Website with New Arrivals!

"Thanks!" to many of you, who let us know that J.Crew had an update to its website (click here to view online).

There are some new arrivals for men (click here) & women (click here). {wahoo!} It looks like Crewcuts (click here) has been updated, as did the J.Crew Collection (click here).

As mentioned by several JCAs, J.Crew posted several images of the newest catalog over at Pinterest (click here to view).

Promotion Time! J.Crew is offering an additional 30% off final sale with promo code SHOPNOW. This offer expires February 22, 2016. They are also offering free shipping on all orders. This offer ends today!

What items are you most excited about and why? Which items are you surprised (or not surprised) to see? Which items did you hope would be included? Were you expecting a bigger roll-out? Also, did you receive the latest catalog? :)

  1. To add: I just emailed J.Crew CS, and there is a 25% off full price code to use for Cardmembers!

'Code ZV5G5 to receive 25% off full-price styles as well as the discounts offered by our SHOPNOW promo.'

I did a mock check-out on new items, and it works! Not sure though what is excluded on this promo (really popular items, Collection?).

    1. I just received the email and it says for Cardholders and VIPs. So I assume it works for everyone who knows about it?

    2. Wow, thanks so much for this! Or not, because I have _so much_ on my wishlist from this rollout!

    3. Promo worked for me on a collection item (item E9419, Collection A-line skirt in watercolor floral). Also on other items ordered last night (did online chat with customer service for price adjustment, took less than five minutes to get a revised receipt); JSR, thank you very, very much for this tip!

    4. @JSR, thank you! I would probably have missed it. I didn't receive an email with a code (maybe went to junk mail )..
This JCA community is the best !

    5. I looked in my deleted mail folder - apparently I thought it was just a random email and missed the code, so THANK YOU to the JCAs!

I ordered the teddie pants in the geometric pattern - love that fabric, I was torn as to whether to order the pants, the dress, or the skirt, but I think the pants look really cool.

I also ordered the new daisy tortoise earrings (item F2795), I think they are really cute, and the 25% off and free shipping was enough to tempt me.

    6. Thanks, I'm a cardholder and never got the email.

    7. Pathos, I am as well, and also did not get that email. Not in spam trash or anywhere. But I WILL get the credit adjustment for my order!

  2. Not seeing much I have to have, which is good because I ordered a couple of items from Lily Pulitzer the other day, including what I hope will be a spectacular maxi dress for my upcoming trip to Florida - $$$ but we'll see if the dress and other items are worth it or not.

  3. I just called and confirmed that the stores do have 25% off if you use your J.Crew card. I ordered the Rayner chino pant with the discount and used my rewards card for the balance. I hope they will fit and be cute, I ordered my usual size. My store did not receive them to try on.

    1. I ordered the lucite necklace, not a JCrew card holder and the code works for 25% off. :-)

    2. I hope it fits me, too. The jean version from last year didn't work for me. I tried a size 26 and 27. It wasn't offered in petite.

I wonder how is sizing is like between the 25, 26s...to the 0, 2, 4s..? I ordered a 2, hopefully sizing is different with the chinos.

    3. Vava..tell us how the necklace is like. I'm hoping to see it at the store so I can try it on...

  5. new arrivals look cute...best roll out in a long time...love that bunny tippi...I see they re did the jackie with plain boring buttons and made it long sleeve now instead of 3/4....super sad about the changes...The classic jackie was very distinct and the new one just looks like it could be by any brand from anywhere...generic looking

  6. And the Gingham Martie pants I want to try are excluded. Boo!

    1. @JessF I just got back from a lunch time run to my store and I received 25% off the gingham Marties - they're so cute, didn't expect to like them so much. I'd try CS and tell them that they're 25% off in store...good luck. Hoping to get pics posted on my blog tonight of some of the new things...my store got their shipment late so they were just putting stuff out as I stopped in today.

    2. Thank you for the heads up. I am not super close to a store and can't go today but will try CS. Looking forward to photos!

    1. I saw a photo of those on Rynetta's site, where are they available? Can't seem to find them online.

    2. I found them using my mobile phone. I went to the 10 musts for spring. On the mobile phone it gives you the option to purchase the whole look. Go to the look that shows the shoes. I believe it's look 8 or 9 - the one that shows the flutter sleeve blouse. I was crazed looking for them last night. Haha!

      Delete
    3. It looks like you can add the gingham Kikis to your cart that way via the regular site too - but if you search for the style number or Kiki or even click "view full details" on the shoes, the page disappears. Sneaky, but they are on there!

  9. FYI, the Peplum Top in Super 120's Wool (C9272) and Colorblock Peplum Top in Super 120's Wool (C9106) from last year are back. I thought this was a great item, and I guess others did so since they sold out very quickly. If you missed it in 2015, here's your chance to get it now.

    1. Last week I put it In my cart at 79.99 and a percentage off for final sale. I didn't realize it was new! A day later it was 118!

    2. I have a rule with JCrew for all the things I buy and I buy a lot ...nothing full price, nothing final sale, and no sale under 40% and full price under 30% I've been wanting this top but it was final sale and 30 off sale so while I almost broke my rules...I didn't. I'll continue watching it.

    1. @Anna Maria, at first glance this would be a pass for me. Maybe seeing it and trying it on would change my mind.
I've recently bought one from AT (shirt dress / midi / long sleeves/ a little bit of stretch to the sturdy - in a good way - fabric). AT usually has %off of new items and I got during one of those promos. Also, applied a $50 discount code which brought the price to $40 something :)
The pr,o code I had was " thanks1" ( for $50 off any purchase of $100) .. Pretty generous. HTH

    2. It looks really comfortable and I love the color. Thinking it might look matronly, especially on us shorter JCA's. I'd love to know what you think, if you try it.

  12. I reviewed the midweight stripe top & silk clip dot top on Gigi's Gone Shopping.

I really like this rollout. I'm curious about the washed trench, gingham Marties, gingham cashmere shell, Jackie gingham shell (?) and the stripe block heels as seen on Ema's Insta.

The midweight striped top dropped in price from $45 to 39.50.

    2. I tried leaving a comment, too, and got a 404 error.
Anyway, so glad to read your review and hear a bit about your new adventures. Thanks for posting. Congrats on the new projects!!

    3. SE Mom & maryeb - I get the 404 error sometimes, too. My site is hit with tens of thousands of spam comments/day and my hosting company wants me to pay to upgrade my plan. Ummm...not doing it for traffic that isn't authentic. I put an anti-spam plugin and it has helped, but I think I'm still getting reemed.

I love the stripe top because the fabric is awesome, but know I have so many stripe tops at the moment. Once I go thru & try them all on, I'll know if I should add that one or not. It's tough out here for the stripesick! I decided to try the heels instead because I have nothing like them ;).

Thank you! And hang in there with me. I'm certain I'll get it sorted out.

    4. Me too! Go Gigi! Did you try the top in navy? That seems to be a great color for you.

    5. Suz Has - I don't think I tried it in navy. That's a good suggestion as it might be a nice replacement for my trusty navy crepe blouse.

    6. Gigi, I really like the stripes on you. I'm stripesick too. It's nice to hear about the positive exciting things happening for you. You've always been so helpful and kind on this blog, glad to hear things are well.

  13. I stopped in my store today with the intent of checking out the new arrivals. Due to weather they were a few days behind getting the shipment/putting stock out so I tried on a few of what they did have on the floor and easily accessible in the stock room. I tried the Marties in Gingham, the Paneled Geometric Dress, the Bell-Sleeved Crepe Dress in Papaya, and the Polka Dot midi skirt. I also tried the Neon Dahlia Tippi and the Chateau Trench, neither of which are new but were new to me to try! I really liked the Gingham Martie pants and I can't stop thinking about the trench! You can see photos on my blog here

    1. Anne, I love the red dress on you, both actually! I stopped buying dresses since I have to force myself to wear them (and just sold my teddy dress) but if I was to buy a dress it would be that bell sleeve dress in black (or maybe the red.)

    2. Anne, the gingham pants look great on you!

    3. Agree with @jan the gingham pants look great on you

    4. @Suz Has thank you!! I have the Teddie dress as well and it doesn't get enough wear. I have several and love how easy they are but I agree that I don't reach for them enough.

@jan and @Ina thank you so much! I was surprised at how much I liked them. I need to wait a while to wear them but hoping they'll get some mileage this spring/summer :)

    5. I really like the bell sleeve dress because 1) It's what Joan would wear on Mad Men, including the color, and 2) It looked very flattering on you. Good luck choosing!

    6. @JenniferD thank you! I'm thinking the tall size in the dress may be the ticket so will probably order that to try. I would indeed be channeling Joan!

  14. I posted this question in,reviews but since everyone is here I'll post here:

I have the wide leg full lenth pant in wool. I loved the cropped version except for the pleats, but I really liked the cropped length. After seeing the NYFW collection I'm thinking of having the full length wide leg version cropped, maybe with a hem.
If always liked that look. Just ankle length, about 26 inch inseam. Do we think that's a good idea? The current 34 inch inseam is long enough that I can wear very high heels or the pants drag. Feel like the ankle length might be more versatile.

I checked my Pinterest board of inspirations and have a bunch of pics of black wide leg, ankle length pants, and several full length too. Both looks are great. Makes it harder to decide!

I was almost tempted to buy two pairs and have one cropped, but they are sold out in my size.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I meant, with a cuff. Obviously a hem! ;)

      Delete
    2. @SuzHas, Here is what I would do... I'd do a "dry try" first with a slightly shorter length (using tape or pins) to wear them with pointy flats or kitten heels ..I love wide leg pants with flats...as long as they are pointy:) . If the look doesn't appeal after trying it, I'd do a second "dry try" shortening a little bit more, creating a cropped version. Either way, after deciding which length I like best, I would do my best to preserve the extra fabric when hemming the pants. This way I would have the option to change my mind later and have a different look. I know this isn't always an option but if possible, I would not cut it. hth.. and let us know (and see) what you decide.

      Delete
    3. I was thinking that. I taped them up and loved it with my Kraft brown Elsies. I think they sell a removable hemming tape. Might be worth not having cuffs to have the option to wear both ways.

  15. Overall I think this rollout looks promising for things to come. I like a number of items but there isn't a lot that I need so I'm trying to look at basics. I want to try the micro pleated midi skirt hopefully it's not too long. I'm curious about the stripe sweater with side snaps since I'm a sucker for stripes. I was interested in the navy ankle strap flat sandals but they are $200 cdn so that's not happening. I can't believe some of the shoe prices!

  16. I'm really liking a lot in this rollout! Ordered a ton of pants and the featherweight merino long-sleeve polo and the 25% off Cardmember code worked although in my email it says the item is not eligible for promotion. Weird.

If I were taller I definitely would have ordered some of those Collection skirts. Absolutely gorgeous.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Went a little crazy this rollout because I had a gift card (from xmas), rewards and the cardmember promo code. Purchased the lace up ballet flats, the gingham flats, the Raynor white denim wide legged pants, the betty sunglasses, a couple of the linen v necks (i am really into the mossy grove color lately in all the tee variations) and the featherweight striped boatneck sweater in the gray/white/orange combo.

I would have purchased a featherweight twinset...but there are no more shells left??? Only 1 lonely black in xxs. Which makes no sense...all those lovely colors/sizes for the cardigans and no more shells?

I am also trying a Teddie pant for the heck of it. I think the sailor pant looks adorable on Ema on her IG but not sure about the buttons so I decided to stick to basic black for now...

  18. I just got the new catalog (lookbook?) today. I just don't like anything anymore. It's like they've erased Jenna and are trying to ram their "timelessness" down everyone's throats. All this stuff is still made in China and still is way overpriced for what it is. I wish we could go back to 2010 or so, when everything was interesting and fresh.

    1. I agree, even earlier than 2010. 2008 had some great, quality pieces. I miss the preppier pieces too. What ever happened to Critter shorts? #sigh

That being said, I did snatch up the Gingham Martie pants.
