Sought & Found: Did you visit J.Crew this {past} Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store was/ is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

  1. I stopped in to do a return. A quick glance around a very empty (merchandise & customers) store. The SAs seemed pretty excited for fall but otherwise disinterested in current stock.

  2. Sale section still at 50% off. I didn't find anything I needed.

Looking forward to the roll-out this week.

  3. I went in. Didn't buy anything. It seems that many of the in-store prices are the same as online. It's not easy to tell since the stores can be horrible about not marking things down or noted 2nd & 3rd cuts. If they're tired of the merch, mark it properly so it can move. #eternalrant

JCAs, don't have a final sale hangover. Visit the Sale Irl Pic Guide for pricing info & links to irl pics/reviews.

  4. I did not go to the store but I did buy the Linen Chevron Maxi Dress in blue online. It went on promo less 40% off and I also had a $20.00 gift card that J Crew sent me for leaving a sensor on a pair of sandals that came from a store. This made the dress a pretty good deal for me. I ordered down one size. Can't wait to get it.

  5. No stores near me so I didn't go, and I am still waiting on an order to arrive that I placed when it was 50% off online. Apparently the package was left on a UPS truck, which delayed delivery another 2 days. I am contemplating another order, so I may place it before this current % off deal ends.

Btw, there were a lot of new promo-priced items added yesterday, including the linen chevron maxidress and broken-in boyfriend jean in white, just to name a few. I added the newest additions to the top of the J.Crew Promo-priced items & markdowns list: See It Here.

  6. Went into both Eaton Centre and Yorkdale - big YAWN. Like everyone else, noted that sale sections were thoroughly picked over (they are never getting rid of all those shirts in tropical floral neon) nothing grabbed my interest except a pair of suede Blakely pumps for $75 that I finally decided were just too high for me... did try on a brand new boot arrival: an ankle rain boot that I do not see online. Rubber, in a blundstone-ish style, came in navy/ black/ green/ leopard. Canadian price $68 so prob $50 US. Full sizes only. Cute, but found that the elastic was poorly sewn inside the boot and so chafed my ankles. Would work if you are a wearer of socks, but would abrade finer knits like tights. I hate socks, myself... think I am done with summer, at least from a clothes-buying standpoint.

  7. Found a long white maxi skirt for $13 and change and a long cream/navy striped maxi skirt for $21 and change....first two items I have bought in a JCrew store in over a year!

  8. I had to exchange my field jacket but I also picked up the crab top for $20 and a pair of black emma flats for $19 and those are still $128 online. The sale merchandise was packed in my store but a lot of meh looking clothes. Sometimes I wonder who approves certain items.

  9. I went to the store on saturday and the sale section was packed.Nothing of interest for me:)
I bought the Havannah clutch in natural and the store matched the online price($24) for me.

  10. I was able to pick up the striped maxi skirt for $27 dollars, after getting a $68 dollar price adjustment on the vintage denim jacket I had purchased at full price the previous weekend. I hate having to price watch, but in this case was able to pick up the skirt I had not wanted to pay full price for previously.

  11. OK, an off track question- on the Net-a-Porter website, there's a 'Collection broderie anglaise cotton dress', white, thin straps, drop waist, racer back- $400 and mostly sold out. Was this ever released on the J.crew website? I've never seen it before and now I have to have it- but of course my size is long gone
