Happy Fourth of July Everyone! I wish everyone a great Fourth of July and safe travels. :)
Since
a lot of us will be attending various outdoor parties, firework events,
and traveling to visit family and friends throughout the weekend- I
thought it would be fun to get ideas of what to wear today and during the weekend. (It's amazing how many times a
JCA mentions an item or an outfit, which inspires me to wear something
similar- you all have such wonderful taste!) :)
I am very excited about wearing the Lace Up Dress In Linen (item A5836), which is currently on sale for $99.99 (before any additional discount). This was a dress that I didn't even notice when it arrived online. However, I saw it in-person at the store and thought it looked cute. Since I had some other things to try on, I tried on the dress too. I am so glad I did, because it is lovely! (Quick heads up, it does run large. I did have to size down from my normal size 2 to size 0.)
Now I realize how daring I will be wearing white with all the potential ways of getting dirty. Fingers crossed, I don't spill anything on me! ;)
What are you planning to wear this Fourth of July weekend? Are you planning to go "head to toe" J.Crew or parts J.Crew?
Happy 4th, Alexis and JCA's!
ReplyDeleteI love red, white and blue and will probably wear this Joe Fresh sleeveless dress in navy, red Saltwater sandals, and my Nolita denim jacket depending on how hot it is out. The dress is so comfy (and cheap!) - if anybody's looking for cute knit dresses (JC hasn't been delivering so much lately) I would definitely recommend Joe Fresh.
Also (completely unrelated), I have to share a laundry tip I just learned this week for watermelon juice stains. If you've gotten watermelon on cotton, you can remove it with Dawn dish soap. I've had good luck just putting a little bit on and soaping up the garment with a little warm water and rinsing. I'm not sure how it would work on other fabrics, but hopefully this will help if anybody's enjoying some today (little_lining eats it nonstop and has ruined many a tee shirt).
Funny. When my kids were little I had them so well programmed that they would say" Mom, I got a stain on my shirt, and I already put the dish soap on it".
DeleteA little plain soap on any stain will usually prevent it from setting until you can wash it.
For me today, JC navy and white striped tank, Red linen boyfriend cardi from a few years ago, and white linen skirt from last year. Probably the Marina sandals. I have the Cecelia buckle in red, but don''t know why I bought them- they are too high for me, and I never worn them!
Silver lining, Your outfit sounds perfect! Plus, I am going to borrow part of your look now! I also have the Saltwater sandals in red, and I didn't even think of wearing them today. But now I will! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm going to be spending some time at the local pool and plan to break out the red/white/navy "sail away" tank suit for today :)
ReplyDeleteHappy 4th of July everyone! I will be going to the farmer's market this morning followed by the Independence Day parade, so I'm going to wear my Midsummer maxidress in Raj Paisley with the concise denim jacket from Anthro and a pair of sandals.
ReplyDeleteWhen it stops raining, I'll be wearing the Andie chinos in faded red(?), the white Factory tank with the deep blue stars printed on it, and white rope sandals.
ReplyDeleteHappy 4th of July, JCAs! I'll probably wearing my scallop stripe shirt, blue bandana tied around my neck, a pair of boyfriends, and also my saltwater blue sandals!
ReplyDeleteLast night for the fireworks I wore my collection Featherweight Cashmere anchor sweater,, factory sunburst cuff bracelet, white jeans and a denim jaket This morning I wore my white Chino shorts, navy embroidered baseball cap and factory Charlie cotton red white and blue striped sweater. Now I am at the pool sporting red white blue but currently Crewless. Happy fourth to all you fabulous JCAs.
ReplyDeleteIt's not patriotic but I'm wearing my Madewell backyard dress in burgundy ikat. It's very comfortable for a summer day.
ReplyDeleteI wore my last year's lLiberty Print popover in red, white and blue. It was possibly called Matilda print. I wore it with white jeans and navy flats. By the time it came to watch fireworks on the beach I had to add a gray sweatshirt. Hope everyone had a great day.
ReplyDeleteInstapic of my outfit - the white factory peasat top, a red knockoff of the beaded rose necklace and the chambray drawstring pants (review). I'm totally happy that I sucked it up and paid f/p for the pants. The cost/wear will be low for me by the time they go on promo, even it it happens fairly quickly.
ReplyDeleteHappy 4th!
