Hi there!
ReplyDeleteA fun experience I had with J.Crew is the one at Pacific Place mall in downtown Seattle, WA.
I just got a new puppy and I was taking her everywhere with me. I was kind of scared of taking her into the mall and into J.Crew but when I brought her into the store the employees were SO welcoming and nice to us! One of the sales associates even brought out a bowl of water for her. How sweet! <3

I wasn't sure what size I was in pants - I normally take a 0P but I cannot wear the smallest size (00P) so I called the crew and they advised me to get 25 short. So, I ordered the vintage bootcut cords, final sale natch. So they come and they aren't enormous but loose enough to be ill fitting and to make me look dumpy. So I called them and they allowed me to exchange ...which was great because the 24 short fit perfectly.
ReplyDeleteI do feel sorry for super petite ladies - no sizes for them!
I ordered a few pairs of ballet flats from J.Crew this week. The Lula flat in black patent leather is super comfortable and my husband, who hates ballet flats, said they were really cute on me. I am also waiting on a pair of Cece suede flats in the Aged Driftwood color. Would be interested to hear if anyone has this color and if they like them or find the color to be too blah ;)
ReplyDeleteI am looking to find a pair of suede Cece's in wild berry too. Love these flats. I also tried a pair of French Sole Sloop's and a pair of Cole Haan Bacara flats this week. I found J.Crew to be superior to both shoes in both comfort, style, and construction.
Also forgot to add, I had to deal with JC's customer service for an exchange and they were very pleasant and waived shipping fees. I made a few returns at the store yesterday and the customer service didn't even compare. I ran in after work in my police uniform, let's just say the rude looks I received were enough to make me want to change J.Crew retail locations. The snooty attitude was not necessary.
ReplyDeleteGreat experience at the jcrew factory store in smithfield nc. Hubby, daughter and I all came out with sacks full of clothes.
ReplyDeleteOT, but ok girls, 'fess up -- who's the lucky dog who won the size 10 Veruschka dress on eBay yesterday?! I know it had to be one of us. Jruby, was it you? If so, congrats! :P
ReplyDeleteWore my final sale Blythe shirtdress to work yesterday and I am in loooove. I just cannot get over how comfortable it is, I wish I could wear it everyday. Adding the fact that I took a risk with the sizing on final sale makes me love it all the more! (I am 5'10" and ordered the 2, can wear a 0 or 2t in the blythe shirt, if that helps anyone!).
ReplyDeleteAlso had a good outlet experience yesterday, picked up the thandie in purple, a long light blue stripe sweatshirt-ish top (can't get to the site right now) that is comfy and flattering, and a coral square necklace. My sister got a scarf, belt, shorts and the striped thandie. The sales lady let us use the coupon and then helped us figure out the cost split, very easy and friendly! Lots of cute stuff in there!
Three cheers for the new JC Toronto store! The sales associates there helped me locate an item over the phone and were as helpful and kind as can be.
ReplyDeleteLOL @ Elaine's comment re: Veruschka dress... I tried, but had an unexpected friend visit for dinner so no last minute eBay stalking for me... I did manage to *finally* score the Vintage Violet Shirtdress last week, so the loss of the Veruschka stings a little less. ;)
