J.Crew of Season's Past: {a look in the closet}

It's that time again, to take a look at an image of J.Crew pieces from seasons past! As caribbelle (in this post) so beautifully termed, "ye olde j crew of yore".

The Cotton Anchor Skirt (item 84459; $118.00) is one of my favorite pieces. I absolutely adore the print- it screams Summer fun! This piece is a classic thanks to its fitted waist and full skirt. Absolutely love!

What are your thoughts on the look(s)/item(s) from the past? Do you find the look(s)/item(s) classic or do you think they are dated?

  1. I adore this skirt! After many years of stalking I was able to nab a sample size of it on eBay last fall and have been waiting for the first possible moment to wear it this spring! I was also lucky enough to find the white shirt-dress version with the navy anchor on eBay a few years ago too. Both pieces look classic, and I think this skirt is still totally relevant with today's fashion. In fact more so, as it seems longer length skirts have finally come back in. I know not everybody wants a huge 'kitschy' anchor on the front of their skirt, but from what I've seen on eBay enough of us must, as there's usually a bidding war for this particular skirt every time it comes up.

  4. That is a classic J Crew skirt, love it. I got the white cashmere anchor shell at a warehouse sale this winter and am looking forward to wearing it this spring.

  6. Someone has this skirt listed on eBay in a size 2 for those of you who love it (not my listing). It is NWOT and less than $20 now.
