Weekly Share: Other JCrew-like Retailers

This is the weekly "Other JCrew-like Retailers" post (similar to the "Off On A Tangent" posts), where we can share our finds from other retailers that have offerings similar to J.Crew (like LE Canvas, Gap, BR, Talbots, Ann Taylor, and the like.)

If you have recently encountered items that are similar to J.Crew, maybe you might be willing to share that information with us in this post.

    LE has some really cute basics on sale - true reds, wide leg pants, jersey dresses...worth checking out, IMO.

    The Talbots April catalog is gorgeous. So many items I want and like very much! Mother's Day and Birthdays will be filled with Talbots goodies for me I am sure.

    Ordered a few cardis last week, package is already delivered and I'm in Canada. Nice and quick, just like the last time I ordered from LE. Re: LE pants, look for styles that have stretch, cos I ordered a couple pairs of their basic chinos last year, and while the cut was good, fabric was without a smidge of stretch so wrinkled easily and wasn't comfy to sit all day in.

    Thanks for the heads up Gigi! I knew if I waited there would be a better promo at LE! I got one of their suede bucket hobos for under $30!

    And FYI, E-bates has 6% cash back on LE right now, so it makes the sale even better!

    egyptomaniac - I forgot to use Ebates! At least I'm only missing $1.13. That 30% *is* a promo + the free ship.

    I didn't mention it, but Land's Ends codes usually exclude Canvas. They run different code/pins for Canvas.

    Talbots now has 25% off tops, in store and online. Free ship is not part of the promotion, but the online
    items are already marked down, so should be able to find and use a free ship promo code (I like using retailmenot.com to check out coupon codes).

    I posted this site, Elizabetta, in the old thread, will post again here because I think it's a good find. I came across it while hunting for fabrics. I think this scarf is so pretty, nice and colorful, 100% silk, and only $28.

    Genny, you are probably right but I have only ever ordered a scarf from Talbot's after my MIL gave me one for Christmas that I liked so I ordered the other color too. They are lovely scarves and great quality but I haven't had time to check out the clothes in detail for fit and features so I'll likely pass. Given my limited purchase from them I'm surprised they even included me.

    Saks Fifth Avenue is offering Free Shipping on every order until 4.13.11 with the code SORRY at checkout. Apparently the site experienced some downtime during an upgrade, so they are giving customers free shipping as a way of apologizing.
