J.Crew Email: ENDS TODAY: 20% OFF your order of $150+, in stores and online

"Thanks!" to many of you, including Ketan, who shared the following email from J.Crew this morning.

Today is the last day for J.Crew's offer for 20% off (on regular and sale items) on orders of $150+ with promo code SUNNY. This offer is applicable to both online and in-store purchases (just print out the email) at J.Crew, as well as J.Crew Factory online (click here to shop online).

Will you be checking out J.Crew & J.Crew Factory? Are there any items you are interested in getting before this promo ends? If so, please share. :)

  2. Not without free shipping! I've had a full shopping cart for almost 2 weeks. Oh well, JC.

  3. Not even a little bit tempted with this offer...feels good to hold strong! :)

  4. Big update overnight but nothing I absolutely must have. And without free shipping, pfffffffffttttt.

  5. There's a skirt I'm dying to pick up before the promo ends, but I just can't do it without free shipping. I had to add an item to make the $150 and then to pay $14 for shipping makes it a no-go. Too bad.

I've got my fingers crossed the skirt pops back in my size later on.

  6. I second and third that silver_lining and AppGal. This doesn't impress me.

To be honest, the sale feels a bit stagnant lately. There are so few things left in my size and I just can't bring myself to get excited about those that are without additional% +free shipping.

  7. Agreed about the free shipping. I have a few things I'd consider if I didn't have to pay shipping. Deal breaker. Also, there are sooo many winter items that haven't lowered in price enough.

  8. Pics of the urbanite shift dress in this post and links to other blogger pics.

I never order when there's a promo & no free shipping. It feels like an insult to my intelligence. However, I know it works for other people who place orders in the high hundreds to a thousand+.

  9. Didn't bite so far... except for a factory scarf that popped back on the weekend and had the free shipping offer.

  10. Saw the big update this am, but without free shipping, didn't even bother to browse what goodies are available...Yeah that this promotion is ending!!!

  11. Courtney hit it on the head: stagnant, despite doubling in size overnight. I'm waiting for Fall. In fact, I'm still waiting for some of the cute "teasers" from the Spring Lookbook (which I was deemed unworthy to receive).

  12. Hate to add to the echo chamber but I can't bite because I can't eat the shipping costs. There are a few things I have my eye on which is surprising because my interest in J. Crew has waned because of the difficulty of shopping there nowadays.

  13. Has anyone seen the weekender dress in person? Anyone tried on the castaway dress? I am thinking summer music festivals and cookouts...hmm.

  14. It's not my style, but I know it sold out quickly...

There's a liberty bouquet shirtdress in dark slate in a 2 that just popped back for $99. Hope someone can snag it!

  15. I picked up a 3/4 sleeve cotton shirt in dragonfly blue from the sale section but didn't bother looking for items to make the $150 min. spend - not worth it, IMO, without free shipping. The colour of the shirt looks really nice and it should come in handy for business wear.

Kind of late but I finally got around to posting an IRL pic of the Trouper pants, which popped back this morning in the sale section. Great pants for under $20, couldn't ask for anything more!

  16. Yes, no free shipping is a bummer but I dislike Final Sale even more.
Here's hoping for free shipping deals soon and the final sale to go away!

  17. I was at the B&M at The Grove in Los Angeles over the weekend. They had lots of new stock, but surprisingly there wasn't a lot I wanted.

I got the Jenny dress in dark charcoal. It's a great weekend dress, very comfy and similar in cut and fit to last year's style (the name escapes me but it's almost identical). I regretted not getting it last year, so I'm happy to see the Jenny. The Peri blue was also very pretty. I sized down to a 2 as it's a very forgiving and slouchy fit.

Also picked up a pair of Waverly chinos. Now I know what all the JCAs are raving about. The colour I got was onsale and I don't see it online...it's a faded terra cotta similar to the cognac that the broken-in shorts come in. They're great rolled at the ankle and they fit TTS. The colour I got was on sale, $39 minus the 20% promo.

Tried the Shrunken Fisherman sweater and frankly wasn't blown away. I expected it to be more cropped and boxy, but instead it was just...normal. The proportions weren't any different than any other sweater as far as I could see. I tried the Small and it was fine (normally I'm a S or M in JC sweaters). The beechwood colour was nice, but the white was UBER-white...too much for my taste. It's a cute sweater, but not worth FP in my opinion.

There was one lone Liberty Print shirt dress in size 0 as of Saturday if anyone's interested.

  18. Just an FYI for those fearful of final sale: If you have any sort of friendly/familiar relationship with the sales associates at your b&m you shouldn't have an issue returning a final sale item if you really cannot wear it.

My best advice is to only attempt this if you really cannot use the item at all because of size, length etc., and to make them aware that store credit is acceptable for you.

This has happened to me twice: once when I ordered the Odean Pumps-way small, and once when I purchased a Cotton Cady dress and they took them both back with my packing slip.

  19. yea, I'm over this promo. I did place an order last week for business attire...saved $34 bucks and then spend $15.50 in shipping and $9.00 in tax. Pft.

Agree about prices still being so high for final sales....so over winter.

  20. Has the J. Crew site crashed? Looks like it on my PC and phone.

  21. I did use the promo for the canvas and chambray schoolboy jackets and a couple of the featherweight cashmere cardigans (hangs head in shame). I know, I know. I really wanted the spearmint and light shell colors for spring/summer. I had already bought and love the Giovanna wedges.

  22. I only shop discounts...but not sure i'm ready to bite yet!

Girls come on over for my giveaway!

  23. Passed by the Northbrook IL B&M today, they had a very full sale section with some April catalog items already marked down. There were a few great deals ... I couldn't resist the Shawl-Collar Cardi, originally $110, marked down to $19.99. Not final sale, either. Can't wait til the online promo ends!

  24. No purchases for me either. I really wanted a pretty spring dress, not too dressy, but pretty enough for Easter Sunday dinner. I'm not finding anything see days, except for a dress at Madewell and a dress at Anthro, neither of which are on sale.

When is the next online release?

  25. I'm glad the promo is finally over...now if they would just do away with Final Sale and bring on Spring sale!!!
