More SUNNY Days Ahead (Extended: 20% off your order of $150+)

"Thanks!" to many of you, including Closet Crisis (in this post), as well as Ketan, who shared the following news from J.Crew this morning.

They are extending their offer for 20% off (on regular and sale items) on orders of $150+ with promo code SUNNY. This offer is applicable to both online and in-store purchases (just print out the email) at J.Crew, as well as J.Crew Factory online (click here to shop online). This offer now ends Monday, April 11, 2011.

As JCAs mentioned this before, this is a nice promo for JCAs who visit brick & mortar (B&M) stores. This is an okay offer for those ordering online (just depends on how much you order so you can see if free shipping or the percent off is the better deal).

Will you be checking out J.Crew & J.Crew Factory? Are there any items you are interested in getting? If so, please share. :)

  1. There was an update this morning. Not huge, but at least some new sizes and items. I noticed a few new markdowns, like the striped mandarin tee and the striped linen henley.

  2. Rather sizable update and a marginally small update in factory as well. Despite having to pay for shipping, some things are cheaper than in the store.

  3. Bunch of items on promo/markdown - gingham short-sleeved shirt, petal midi skirt, chambray cinch shirt, sorbetto pencil skirt, Tribune dress, etc.

    Still not purchasing with FS.

  4. silver lining,

Yes, no purchases for me either with FS still going on. When will it ever end???? I thought once April hit it would go away. Oh well. I have discovered many more stores this way:) and glad I have all in all.

  5. How does this promo differ from the 20% off white card sent via the mail? It's odd that they would run such a similar promo at the same time.

  6. JenLyn, I think this promo is for those of us who didn't get the Mickey card or don't have a B&M nearby and have to order online. They are giving us the 20% off that the Mickey card holders are able to get in-store but this promo doesn't have the same exclusions, only third party merch.

I'm guessing they didn't have the uptake on the Mickey card this time around given the minimum purchase required and specific exclusions of what are usually higher-priced items like handbags and suiting.

Nothing for me this time around. I've been shopping local boutiques and shoe stores lately. Here's hoping they add free shipping for the weekend at least.

  7. Some new arrivals due out tomorrow, I think - not supposed to be a lot, but interesting that this offer and/or mickey card will be able to be used. With the 30% off offer a while back, I have plenty of spring things, so I'm done for a while.

  8. there are definitely items i want but with taxes and shipping, my total goes right back up to $150! what kind of deal is this?!

  9. I did order, saw the Lisse jacket in (what I think is) my size so I am so.crossing.fingers it works. Anyone have this jacket? I'm not a suit person, just thought it would be cute with long sleeve tees and cropped trousers for the "casual business" stuff I have to do (every now and then.)See how committed I am to suits?

  10. Same sale items from last fall. What gives...

  11. Still nothing for me since they haven't included Free Shipping in the deal.

  12. I saw the Wilder Dress was just marked down online, wondering if it was marked down in stores too??? I just paid full price for it 6 days ago! Anyone been to a B&M to see?

    ReplyDelete
  13. Does anyone know how the Linen Pullover fits? TTS, or size down? TIA!

    ReplyDelete
  14. Omg! I just paid full price for it too!

  15. But of course, now it's gone in my size...

  16. Bummer...was sort of hoping this promo to end so that we are closer to the next % off + free shipping. How do they expect to move their merchandise without FS? I have like 10 items I would order, but won't do it until a better deal comes along.

  17. With the extension of the SUNNY promo with no free shipping and FS items, J. Crew just gave me a week off from shopping!

  18. New in-store markdowns (avert your eyes if you hate discrepancies!):

    Belmarin pants - $19.99
Waverly chinos (some colors) - $19.99

Bootcut jeans in dance off wash (still FP online) - $29.99
Toothpick jeans in some light color I don't know the name of (maybe bliss wash?) - $29.99

    Double-breasted Bonnie blazer - $29.99

    Oxford boy shirt - $19.99
    Bonfire cardigan - $19.99 (!)
    Shawl-collar cardigan - $19.99
Saturday stripe sweater - $29.99, may have been $19.99

    Studded leather belt - $14.99
Rainy day utility jacket - $59.99
Tuxedo voile tunic - $49.99 (in the bright blue color that's still FP online)

There was so much more that didn't register on my radar. Might be worth stopping in if you happen to be near a B&M. I think mine got a lot of merch shipped to it from other stores.

  19. @Silver_lining, thank goodness I read your post, I was seriously thinking about the db bonnie blazer, which is marked down to $79.99 so I thought it's reasonable with a FS code (no point grabbing a bunch of ridealongs, since 20% off $150 basically saves me the shipping). But $29.99 in store? I could make a 3 hour drive to the B&M and still save a couple of bucks!

    ReplyDelete
  20. Thanks, silverlining, for the update!

I was happy to pay 39.99 for the Shawl Collar Cardigan but now I may have to go back and see if they still have one in my size. That's a $20 difference!

  21. I'm still waiting for some things to pop back, so I will no doubt pounce if they show up even if there's no free shipping. 20% off is not bad, and buying shoes makes it easy for me to exceed the $150 limit. Decreases my sales tax too.

  22. No problem ladies, if I remember other items I'll be sure to post.

    Closet Crisis - LOL!

    ReplyDelete
  23. Ha, I remembered more:

    Levelette dress - $29.99
    Side-zip sweater - $19.99
    Riviter pant - $19.99
    Lots of scarves/wraps - $19.99
    Rainy day flats - $29.99
Jackies (yellow, green, orange, charcoal) - $39.99

  24. Popped into my store for returns, and they had new markdowns. The in-store-only gingham jacket was down to $50 (the 2nd button seems to be breaking a lot though), and the boathouse dress was down to $40. I tried on the pink Vivette dress ($90), but didn't love it enough at that price. Would be cute with a tan though! Saw several new arrivals, but nothing really grabbed me.

  25. silver_lining: I bought the Waverly pants in the Sycamore (green) color for $19.99. Crazy that they are still full price in that color online. Do you remember what other color(s) you saw for $19.99? I'd like to get some different colors at that great price. Thanks for the great sale update. I'm planning to visit my local B&M this evening to check out the sales.

  26. Hi shopalot - the other colors was a dark, rusty red/brown for $19.99. I don't see that color online. The dark oak was still FP.

  27. I tried to buy the sorbetto but someone else finished checking out before me! Boo!!!! I hate that. I've put out an APB to my personal shopper. I hope he can come through.

  28. Anybody knows if the marled lace-up hoodie is on sale in stores? That's the only one that would push me to go even if I am tempted by the striped voile tuxedo shirt, that was pretty much the only thing that I liked in the April catalog (that was the most underwhelming catalog of 2011 so far IMO). Oh and the gingham oxford chinos too!

    ReplyDelete
  29. The shawl-collar cardi is 19.99? I am so stupid! I just bought it as a ride along for 69.99-20%. flpt.

  30. if anyone sees the "Luxe Baseball Tee" on sale, in a store (looking for size med in the lighter color) could you let me know? thank you, for any help:)

  31. Question: I ordered something last week that I thought was on Final Sale (with that 30% off code). When I received it yesterday, I discovered it was huge (Finepun 3/4 sleeve length T). I don't think I need to comment on the inconsistent sizing issues... we all know how that song goes. I knew I was taking a chance. The thing is, it doesn't say FINAL SALE anywhere on my shipping receipt or on the packaging. Does this mean I can exchange it, or is there some secret FS code hiding somewhere that they'll try to bust me on? Love the shirt, so I'd really like to be able to exchange for size smaller. So frustrating...

  32. Does this coupon work at outlet stores? Anyone, anyone? Thanks

    ReplyDelete
  33. anything_but_full_price - you should ask for a price adjustment! You should still be within the 7 day window.

Danielle - If the item is not marked as final sale on your packing slip, you absolutely can return it. You can always call to make sure, but that is the policy explained to me and I have never had problems returning sale items ending in .99 that weren't labeled final sale when I received them.

  34. Bummer, I was in store this morning, and the Wilder dress is not marked down :( But I was able to get the Bonfire Cardi and Shawl Collar Cardi for $15.99 each!!!! Me likey!

One other markdown I saw was the Chambray Belmarin pants, don't think that was mentioned yet- $49.99

    ReplyDelete
  35. anything_but_full_price - I just wanted to let you know, before it's too late, that you can get a price adjustement! I emailed them this morning and got a reply back within an hour that my credit card is refunded the difference, about $30. I am on the seventh day of my order (my order was shipped 3/31), so it sounds like you may be on your last day too. Hope you get this in time because we deserve our money back. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  36. Oh no! :( I'm sorry. Their pricing inconsistencies are so terrible.

    ReplyDelete
  37. The serenade dress in the cobalt blue color is 59.99. However the boathouse dress was 59.99 (I didn't ring it up but it looked like first markdown as they all had the same price).

If you see something that is fp in store and marked down online you should always ask if they can match the price. They did it for me for the Wilder dress and they do it in general.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Can you get a price adjustment for an item that you bought online that went on sale for lots less in store? Not sure. TIA!

  39. I've used the sunny promo twice now, 2 days in a row, on day for shoes and a top and the second day for a couple of jackets and something else I can't remember. :) All popbacks, I'm not able to wait for a better promo. How bad is it that I can't remember what I ordered?? Ever receive a J Crew shipment and you can't remember what it is? :)
