Right now, my local weather is not permitting me to break out from my Winter clothes too much. (I wore my Stadium Cloth Toggle Coat this past Saturday and was still cold. Ugh!) And as much as I loved seeing all those sneak peeks into J.Crew's Fall Collection, I am all about Spring & Summer right now.
I am dreaming of warmer temperatures which I know is just a week or two away for me. (I can see all the blossoms on the trees and plants starting to bloom!) On the top of my can't-wait-to-wear-list is the Bahia Print Silk Shirtdress from J.Crew. With its festive silk twill print to its ruffle collar, it just screams Spring!
What item(s) from J.Crew can you not wait to wear this Spring? Is it already Springtime where you live? If so, what Spring item(s) are you rocking? :)
woo! the bahia silk twill shirtdress is one of my favorite things to wear in the spring! :)
ReplyDeleteTasty Moog: Couldn't agree more. The print is one of J.Crew's best. And the shirtdress cut is a classic! :)
ReplyDeletesub!
ReplyDeleteI am loving this season's dorrie skirt - I have the tan color and am waiting for the modern red version get over being on backorder already! In fact, I am actually loving the modern red color on everything this spring - I have it in the chino shorts and am seriously considering those espadrilles in the same bright friendly hue! Spring always screams to me Bright Color!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for the weather to get warmer so I can break out my 'school of fish' print skirt. I've had that skirt for more than 5 years now and it's still going strong.
ReplyDeleteOhhhh...what a PHENOMENAL DRESS!!! Weather is still cool here too--me, my dresses, and my sandals are waiting impatiently for Mother Nature to turn up the heat!!!
ReplyDeletep.s. I love the pic. of the Bahia with that long stemmed flower--so cute!
ReplyDeleteI'd be pleased if I could STOP wearing winter clothes. We are still getting freezing temperatures here overnight.
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to wearing sandals for a change.
Lisa: I am with you- Spring is the time to bring back bright colors! :)
ReplyDeleteLouise: I have the fish print orange skirt and blue dress too! Such a fantastic print- classic too! :)
Yogagirl & Rose: LOL! Me too! I can't believe we are still experiencing such cold temperatures. I want to wear sandals again! ;)
Love that bahia silk twill dress. I have that dress in the black polka dot and the purple print pattern but the bahia is truly a spring print.
ReplyDeleteI cannot wait to wear my spring clothes, it seem like that is still a far-away day!
Sigh - while I love the weather my spring/summer wardrobe pales in comparison to fall/winter
ReplyDeleteWe've had gorgeous weather here for quite awhile now, so I've been wearing my spring/summer dresses a lot, along with other warm weather pieces. I usually document what I'm wearing each day on Polyvore right here. :)
ReplyDeleteI am ready to pull out all my jersey knit dresses! They are like wearing pjs!
ReplyDeleteDaniBP: They made that dress in a polka dot print?! Be still my heart! Would love to see a pic of that...anyone have one?
Lisa: I am totally with you on the Dorrie skirt. I'm thankful I got the modern red color before it went on backorder. I have a plethora of outfits in my head!
Spring here is like summer, so allllll the warm-weather finery comes out to play. :) I tried on all my bikinis the other day, so I'm looking forward to wearing those poolside and at the beach ... and my summer pencil skirts of course (the oak tweed, impressionist floral and watercolor pastiche come to mind).
ReplyDeleteAnd shorts, shorts shorts ... lots of madras and all my suckered gingham shirts are being readied for wear!
Yay for spring. :)
I just got my hands on the vintage violet dress (thank you, AppGal!) so THAT is what I'm looking forward to wearing :)
ReplyDeleteAppGal: If you go the sidebar on my blog titled "She's Dotty" you can see both dresses accessorized, though not actually modeled. But the prints are super, and I saw the black dot one AND the purple dot (in a trellis pattern) on ebay not too long ago: if I ever see them again I'll give you the heads up. :)
ReplyDeleteTiffany Rose: Yay! So glad you got it and love it. Had been wondering what you thought :)
ReplyDeleteDaniBP: Oh my gaaah what a cute dress. Now I have yet another item to add to my "wants" for the JCA exchange!
It is like summer here with 80's today. I have been wearing my oldies but goodies from JCrew. School of fish skirt, and my green print fish dress (help with names anyone of this one and below?) as well as a blue skirt with orange ribbon sash that has islands printed on it from several years ago:) I may break out my light aqua blue Meredith dress tomorrow;)
ReplyDeleteAh, the 'School of Fish' print. I love it too! I have a bikini in that print and may actually wear it this summer! First time I can fit into it, lol.
ReplyDeleteStarfish Bikini, Eyelet Pencil Skirt, and White Cropped Matchsticks. Cant wait!
ReplyDeleteTemps finally are staying above freezing this week, up here in the tundra (hehe). I busted out my Lilac Suckered Gingham Shirt today, wearing with a Jackie twinset in Orchid Shadow, plus trousers of course. Can't wait to wear my Featherweight Cashmere cardis, Jacket twin sets, Perfect Shirts with sleeves rolled up... My verif word is "funsun" Woohoo! :D
ReplyDeleteAck, I'm dying to wear so many of the print dresses that I've finally scored -- Vintage Violet, Ischia, Verushka. Also to break out all the springy pencil skirts. And all the modern red pieces -- Dorrie, Urbanite, etc. Come ON spring.
ReplyDeleteWearing a green J.Crew tunic today and dark wash jeans. This is my fave spring shirt so far. A tunic is so comfy at work!
ReplyDeleteI want to wear my vintage violet shirtdress... and my penelope peep toes.
ReplyDeleteI am wearing my short chalet shearling boots and long sleeved cashmere tee today. Something is wrong with that picture! It is FREEZING here in NY today!
I love hearing what everyone is planning to wear in warmer temperatures! For those of you with warmer temperatures right now... I am so jealous of you. Seriously. Jealous. ;)
ReplyDeleteThe Vintage Violet Dress is another great print perfect for Spring. For those of you who own this classic show stopper- congrats! :)
I can't wait to wear my Liberty Bouquet Shirtdress and my Safari Shirtdress but it's still freezing here! So alas, I'm still in winter clothes with the vintage bootcut cords and the chalet sweater.
ReplyDeleteI live in S. Florida where it has been spring-like for weeks! As such, I've got no excuse for not having worn a single J. Crew pencil skirt yet. To make up for lost time, I plan to promptly wear the wildcat ombre pencil skirt from spring/summer 2010, the delilah pencil skirt (swept me off my feet, much to my surprise), and an assortment of those relaxed fit silk tanks J. Crew does so well.
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know when the new May items are coming out and when the catalog might arrive? I am hoping it is this week!
ReplyDeleteYou know, I'd really love to wear the Carrie Crochet Sweater!! It got knocked down $20 ($129.99) but without further discount, a little too steep for my pocket. Then, I looked at this blanket I crocheted for myself and realized I had created the exact same open knit! So I thought, "Ahah! New project for moi!"
ReplyDeleteSo... my new spring shirt will be a DIY Carrie Crochet sweater! I should order one to examine its stitches first, but I'm so excited, I want to start immediately! To all you sewers/knitters/crocheters, what advice do you have!?
Also, I'm still crossing my fingers for a markedly drastic discount... all sizes still available *_*
Lolita- I have been wearing my Carrie for the past month! It is actually pretty warm for inside the office. I am hoping it goes on sale more so I can try and get another color! GL!
ReplyDeleteI love my factory version of the wallpaper print mini (the one Gigi refers to as the Partridge (Family) skirt :))..can't wait to wear that as well well as denim mini and pencil skirt. I'm a big shorts gal during the warmer weather, so I plan on pulling those out as well.
ReplyDeleteThe one item I can't wait to wear is the Madewell Betty Tea Dress...not too long ago Madewell had a sale on the two tone oxford in grey/white and they look cool together. It's my first "date night" outfit for Spring :D!
