Ends Today: 25% Off Orders $150+

"Thanks!" to so many of you, who let us know about J.Crew's most recent promotion. J.Crew is offering 25% off any purchase over $150 with promo code TURKEY. This offer expires today! :)

The fine print of this offer includes:
Offer valid in J.Crew retail stores and at jcrew.com only. Offer is not valid at J.Crew Factory stores. Offer does not apply to previous purchases, alterations or the purchase of gift cards. Offer not applicable to third-party branded merchandise. 25% discount applies to purchases of $150 or more before shipping, handling and taxes are added. Offer valid through Sunday, November 28, 2010, 11:59pm ET. Savings are applied at checkout with code TURKEY. Offer not valid on phone orders. This offer cannot be combined with any other promotion or redeemed for cash. Limit one promotional code per order.
It's nice to see that this offer applies both online and in-stores. It's also nice to see its for both regular and sale priced items. As many of you have noted, this a better deal for in-store purchases (as you avoid paying shipping costs).

Will you take advantage of this latest promotion before it ends today? If so, what items did you pick up?

  1. Had an indulgent time replenishing a few items I wear all the time (matchstick cords, overdyed denim, heathered grey cashmere turtleneck), one new item that promises foot-comfort (cece ballet flats), and nothing else--though lots were tempting. With 25% off, free shipping, and free gift wrap, it was, indeed, a deal.

Hope others find a few treasures. Particularly hope for a few NEW items to make an appearance soon, with additional % off that's even more tempting.

    LIstening for reindeer . . .

  2. Wanted a navy Ludlow suit, jacket is available but the pants' expected shipping date is Mar. 1, 2011----that is just too long of a delay. So I will wait for another discount after the new year.

  3. After seeing Mr. Tom Ford in the latest Vogue issue wearing a double-breasted peak lapel suit, I'm 'feeling' that Ludlow DB jacket and slim cut pleated pants.

  4. Help! I recently snagged a Tartan Boy Shirt, but I need help styling it.

I know that it has the potential to be a fabulously versatile piece this holiday season, but I am struggling to figure out how to wear it.

I am hoping that some of my fellow JCAs could share their great ideas!

  5. I've been tempted to get the last few items lounging in my cart, but with no free shipping I haven't pull the trigger. I'm also thinking that surely JC will pull a new promo for "cyber Monday" (w/ free ship??). Esp since they really did nothing special for Black Friday.

  6. Nothing for me with this promo. Glad to hear others reports of what treasures they found:)

  7. I didn't use this code since my cart didn't get up to the $$ threshold and I didn't get the FS bonus (or anything else) added to my account. I'd like to buy a couple of smaller items as gifts but it's not worth it without free shipping. Curious to see if Cyber Monday is offering anything.

  8. I'm guessing there will be a huge sale update on monday, but I'm doubting any new promos knowing JC.

  9. I am thrilled out the wah-zoo to have been able to use Turkey and the instore outerwear promo on the peacoat I fell in love with this year!!!!

Also, JC's customer service phone rep.'s have been F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S during this promotion. Kudos to them!

  10. I just discovered your blog ! I am too a J.Crew afficionado... except I'm living in France :( A friend is gonna visit me in January and I ordered at her place two vintage matchstick cord (I already own one) and took advantage of the discount to buy the Refined silk-cashmere wrap in Olive Moss. We'll see what it's like ! I would've buy so many shoes but without trying, it's stupid !

  11. I did wind up spending $137 including shipping on this sale...I wanted the drapey sequin tank for myself. Seemed like a good holiday top to have on hand...then I just bought a bunch of odds and ends that could be used as gifts: socks, tights, etc. I also got myself this cute little nightgown that was on sale already. It has a ruffle at the bottom and a built in bra, so I thought that would be cute to hang out in. Nothing too exciting. The things I really want probably won't go on sale until after the holidays.

  12. I stumbled across this blog on something of a whim. Remembering holidays past, I suddenly miss a J. Crew skirt I bought in 2002 or 2003 and lost in a stolen suitcase several years ago. My only trouble is, I don't even remember the style name. Can any Aficionadas help?

It was navy with faint lighter threads running diagonally through the fabric, A-line, about knee-length, and had a ribbon laced up the top 6 inches or so of the back. Sound familiar?

  13. I got another pair of the matchstick jeans, one size smaller (but different fabric, so we will see how they fit) and another pair of the boyfriend chinos. I love the boyfriend distressed chino, but finding the right size was hard. Plus, I went down a size in the past few months, so I am really shooting in the dark here. I love the nickel color.

I would love to buy one of the sequin tops, but I really can't justify it--already have about 2 (!)

I was just creating another post on my blog (this time for party wear), and it really struck me that nearly ALL of the J. Crew dresses hit mid-thigh. I am really surprised that they didn't make more that hit at the knee (except for empire-style, and that is another problem). Wow - I could always rely on J. Crew for great dresses, but this short skirt style won't work.

Factory also had a sale this weekend, and I got the tweed Carlin coat, so I am excited to see what that looks like when I get it.

    Cheers -

  15. I am late to the party on this promo. Just getting back from vacation and happy to see I have free shipping on my account, which I never would have known if not for this blog. Thank you Alexis and the JCAs for posting about it.

There are a couple of things I want to buy for Christmas gifts, although I would almost bet they will be marked down tomorrow following the promo. May as well take the plunge now though, it's almost December and shipping to Canada takes forever. If I want to gift J.Crew I had better get cracking and wrap it up.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend with loved ones.

  16. rtfit_jcrew, you are wise to wait and purchase both suiting pieces at once. The lag between items would likely mean they are from different dye lots and the color difference could be noticeable, even if not at first.

If you ever do decide to go with pieces that are shipped piecemeal, ask CS or your PS to make a note on your account to allow a return if you find they are not exactly the same color or heaven forbid, slightly different fabric, which could be the case between winter-weight and spring-weight wool. Not to be negative but you just never know what you'll get a few months down the road the way quality has shifted the past while. A suit should look like a suit and not slightly mismatched separates. You probably know all this already though, you seem to be pretty clothes-savvy.

  17. I agree with styleonline about the hem length of all of J.Crew's dresses and skirts! This has been going on for the last 1-2 years and I am tired of it. Most retailers seem to be the same way. Even the pencil skirts are kind of short, especially on someone 5'9", like me! Also, the tall sizes used to be a 34" inseam. Now it's 35" or 36"! Waaaaaay too long for this tall girl. I am having more and more trouble with that. I'm not quite regular, but I'm apparently not WNBA material, either.

  18. Agree w/IRL, the cs reps have been fab during this promo. Apparently it was good in-store & online and not supposed to be thru the phone, unless you were calling from the red phone. JC and their hoops. Why haven't I lost weight from all this jumping...

I have a list of links to irl pics/reviews of regular & promo priced items in this post. And you only want dance in the sale aisles, there's something for you. This post has the list of links for items on sale.

  19. xoxo-----great points!!! At first I was more worried about Jcrew getting my $$$ and not being able to use the navy suit jacket without the pants as I already have a navy blazer. Never thought about the possibility of un-matching colors and you are correct----I don't want to take that chance.

Delivery to Canada is pretty dicey too. I ordered something from JCrew on Nov. 11th via Canada Post and up to now I have not receive it yet.

  20. I didn't buy any JC with this promo b/c I wasn't lucky enough to get free ship on my account and the items I want are marked down in store while FP online, and I refuse to buy with the price discrepancy. Also curious to see if they have anything for cyber monday.

I did take advantage of fabulous in-store and online deals from BR, AT, Gap, Tory Burch, Kate Spade, Club Monaco, and Victoria's Secret. Yes I think I need an intervention now...

  21. I bit and took advantage on Thanksgiving morning when I saw that the factory items were all marked down. I had resisted from buying factory online until now because the prices are jacked up so high compared to what you can find at the Crewlet, but with the 40% off plus the 25% Turkey promo, I felt that I got a good deal. It was definitely worth saving a trip to the nearest outlet, which is over 60 miles away.

ITA that the CS reps have been amazing during the promo. I placed my order through an online PS for the first time and she applied the Turkey promo (even though technically it wasn't supposed to be for phone orders... ridic) and gave me free shipping.

Curious to see what (if anything) they roll out for cyber monday.

  22. Before Thanksgiving I used the promo at the store and got some cold-weather basics to take to my parents. Just got back and got a message from my wonderful SA that without even asking she tracked down for me an out-of-stock item I never expected to find as it was from early fall and is holding it through tomorrow. Now THAT is service!

  23. Jck- I have been wearing my tartan boy shirt tucked in with skirts (the taffeta marvel mini in black) or the felted wool mini in green or the lace Severn skirt with navy tights!

Also cute with black boyfriend sweatshirt or black cardigan over it!

I hope that helps! Of course jeans or Minnie pants would be great too IMO! Congrats on scoring that one! It seems to be totally sold out now!

  24. I'm with Andrea, I didn't think it was that great by itself, but with FS + 40% factory I placed an order. Now to wait and see if it's any good...

  27. I took advantage of the TURKEY deal, and the jacket came to $165, which is pretty good. The only thing that made me hesitant was the price for shipping. Ugh, they nickel and dime. But I'm super happy to finally get my coat.
